Cloud is very sweet, gentle and beautiful! Cloud is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAAâs adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Come Meet Their Pets Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. For interested adopters, we can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) Petsmart. Two young women approached the AALOC front door and rang the doorbell. With only one team member working that afternoon handling all the animals’ needs she was unable to respond immediately. When no one answered quickly enough the two women left the box with five precious female kittens and drove away. We are currently maxed out on space but how can you turn your back on these sweet little babies that no one cares about? We named these adorable, female cats after perfumes. If you’ve ever owned a cat, you know healthy cats smell delicious. They constantly groom themselves to keep their fur clean. Cats also use smell as their primary sense for identifying people and objects. Felines have over 200 million odor sensors in their nose. Compare this to humans who have a mere five million. Cats can smell more than 14 times better than we can so always be conscious of the smell of scented litter, candles or other items/people that might upset your cat. Besides, we think Estee, Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Tabu are very upscale cats. And we know they all need and deserve great forever homes. It was the very worst time to be abandoned: Lily was pregnant and ready to give birth. Luckily, she was brought to AALOC and gave birth to her precious litter of four kittens, one male and three females, in the safety of our shelter. Born just before Easter Sunday, the male was named Peter and the females Cadbury, Jellybean and Peep. Lily is a stunningly beautiful calico cat. Her markings are quite unique: Lily has a pure white chest and front and back legs, but the rest of her body is a variegated calico color. She has a cute pink button nose and golden eyes. Lily is friendly but timid, and we feel she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. Please submit an application to adopt Lily at www.AALOC.org. This sweet kitten was found in a local neighborhood by a compassionate person who could not just look the other way. It was apparent Zuzu, as he was named, needed someone to care for him so the individual brought Zuzu to AALOC. Zuzu is a tricolor male calico kitten with steel grey eyes and a pink button nose and all the right features to make you fall in love with him. He is playful, sweet, bouncy, curious and funny, all rolled up as an adorable and endearing soft ball of fur. A volunteer was driving in Westminster and came across a cardboard box sitting underneath a parked truck with three kittens inside. A concerned neighbor had been feeding the kittens for a few weeks while trying to find them somewhere to go with no luck. He said the mother cat had been hit by a car a couple weeks earlier, and her kittens were left. All three kittens were out in the freezing, cold rain trying to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, this compassionate neighbor had too many animals to adopt them himself. Polo, a black, orange and white calico, is a bit timid at first but she will warm up with patience and gentle persuasion. She does enjoy playing with her brother Marco and if you would be willing to adopt two cats Marco and Polo would be a good pair of friends.
