* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Meet Lala! Background: owned a warehouse in Los Angeles. He had trapped her to go to the shelter. We didn't know if she was friendly or feral but offered to keep her out of the shelter system where she wouldn't have fared well if feral. She turned out to be a very grateful little girl who is vocal and likes to tell you all about it. She does have a little bit of a "calico side" to her. Lala is very playful, full of curiosity, great with other cats, comes when she is called, loves pets and doesn't mind being held. She's such a wonderful little girl, we just love her. Kids: Does best with older, mature kids (due to calico side) Cats: She does great with all cats & kittens Dogs: She's never been around dogs * Date of Birth: April 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Tabico (Calico+Tabby Mix) * Eye Color:Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Tested FELV/FIV Results: Negative/Negative * Microchipped: Found Animals * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Cullen * Ask About Our Adopt-A-Pair: it's a program designed to keep siblings & best friends together! ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Adoption applications receive priority over inquiries. * Adopt-A-Pet Inquiry Forms: To avoid any confusion, the inquiry form is a brief email form if you have questions. It does not start the adoption process. FACT: Did you know 80-90% of the cats in the shelters are from the streets? Please help support your local TNR (Trap.Neuter.Return.) groups who are on the streets making a difference by stopping the overwhelming number of litters being born. Please consider fostering with us to save more lives. Always remember to Sterilize....Don't Euthanize!

Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Sweet little Salt is one of our ultimate favorite girls! She was living at a Target on a parking lot with her mom, Target. A feeder had taken care of them for years, gotten them both fixed, found homes for their kittens and then never tried to find these girls their own homes off the streets. We met her through several calls for help from the concerned community. They were living under dumpsters and Target (the store) had threatened to remove them. We went and trapped in the rain to get these girls to safety. Target was several years older and we had to euthanize her due to a failing liver. Salt, however, is healthy and thriving. She needs a dental and a few teeth removed, but who wouldn't at her age? We will take care of this and have an appointment, but we really want her in a home asap and while we wait for her appointment. Salt is a wonderfully kind, gentle soul who loves belly rubs, lots of pets and a hammock. She loves buckets or boxes with fluffy blankets and you'll find her napping in the sunshine soaking up the rays. She does enjoy a good scratch on a tall, sisal post...but most of all, she really enjoys curling up next to you with an arm around her. We would love to find Salt a permanent home and/or a temporary foster so she can enjoy her senior years. She does not like dogs and is good with other cats as long as they're not dominant or alpha personalities. Salt is now: * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Test Results: *FELV Negative *FIV Negative * Microchipped * Flea Treated: Revolution * Dewormed: Droncit Triple Wormer * Litterbox Trained: Open Box * Litter Preference: All-Natural Unscented Litter * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
JACK and BRIE are FINALLY available for adoption! 🎉 Our longest-term fosters, this brother-sister duo have been in our care since June 2023 when they were just a week old. However, no sooner were they fully vetted and ready for their forever home than Jack developed FIP. For the uninitiated, FIP is a HORRIBLE disease that results when feline coronavirus, a ubiquitous and typically mild Gl bug, mutates inside a cat's body and wreaks havoc. Until about 5 years ago, FIP was considered incurable and veterinarians universally recommended euthanasia upon diagnosis. But today, there is effective - albeit expensive - treatment. Now that Jack has finished his and has been officially declared cured, these two fabulous cats are ready to go home together. Jack and Brie are both SUPER affectionate and get along great with other cats, dogs, and even rabbits. Jack knows his name, and, like a dog, always comes running when he is called, no doubt in hopes of receiving a churu (a treat he received daily during treatment). He is also the bestest big brother to every new foster kitten, showing them the ropes and always playing gently. Brie loves belly rubs and will flop and roll at visitors' feet with the hope of wooing them into caressing her. In defiance of her calico nature, she is extremely easygoing and entirely sass-free. If you are looking for cats who mostly keep to themselves and scatter like cockroaches when company comes over, Jack and Brie are NOT for you. But if you are looking for a pair of lovebugs who adore each other almost as much they adore you, these two promise not to disappoint. Jack and Brie are vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and spayed/neutered. Fill out an application and come meet them today! Born 5/23

Story
This beautiful little girl was just about 4 months old when she was found by one of our volunteers behind an apartment building. She had been born to a feral mother who was never caught. The volunteer was able to scoop up Patches, who had learned to be very wary of people, due to the dangers of living outside. Fortunately, we got her into a wonderful foster home where she has begun to blossom, and realizes that people are nothing to be afraid of! She now lays next to her foster mom and enjoys getting petted. She also stayed in the living room while they had 3 visitors, making a total of 6 people and she did not go hide. She even has a best bud, Bean, who is very friendly and the two of them have lots of fun together! We would prefer for them to be adopted together. You can see Bean on this site, too. Or go directly to our website where you can see even more of them! Please submit the adoption application to speed up the screening process in order to meet this sweet duo. Born 7/1/23.

Story
Gingersnap's story began at a construction site where her adventurous spirit was evident even at her young age. Now, this little calico ball of energy is always on the go, zooming around and discovering every corner of her surroundings. She's not much of a cuddler because she's far too busy having fun, but her playful antics are sure to keep you entertained! Call her an "Energetic Explorer!" If you’re looking for a sweet kitty who will fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of playful antics, Gingersnap is for you! Adopt her and add some extra warmth and fun to your life. Born 4/4/24 This cutie will be available late July or early August; however, we are taking applications now. We prefer our kittens to be adopted with a buddy, unless there is another cat near her age at home. Also, she has not been around dogs, but may be young enough to be introduced gradually.

These pups are in Baldwin Park, California too!

Story
Meet Tulip! She’s a shy gal who will blossom into a wonderfully sweet kitty in the right home. Tulip can be timid in new environments and people, and she’ll need some time to settle into a new home. She does startle with sounds and sudden movements, so she’d likely do best in a quiet home with a patient, understanding adopter. Tulip has shown so much progress in her foster home, where we learn new things about her every day! Once Tulip begins to open up in your home, you’ll see that she is a friendly, affectionate girl! She loves getting pets, being brushed and snacking on tasty treats. She loves to play with feather toys and will cheerfully chat with you if she needs something. Tulip’s favorite time of day is bedtime, and she’ll let you know when she’s ready for bed with a few polite meows. She’ll happily hop into bed, and even likes to get under the covers! Tulip’s ideal home would have some quiet hidey spots where she can feel safe and cozy during the day. She has done well living with her foster’s resident cat and has been indifferent to dogs. She would also likely do well with older children who are gentle and respectful of her space. If you have a warm spot on your bed for Tulip to curl up on, click the “Adopt Me” button to submit an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/3bebf9c0-af78-4517-a8fd-523668d8c8db July 9, 2024, 10:07 am

Story
Meet Momo! She is an exceptionally smart and affectionate cat. She came to us as a young mother along with her nursing kittens – now that they’ve all been adopted, it’s her turn to find a loving home! At first, Momo takes some time to warm up to new friends, but once she does, she'll chat with you all about her day! She comes to you expertly when called loves getting quality pets. She enjoys parading around the house with her favorite stuffed toys, and she'll even let you play fetch with her sometimes! Momo loves her toys and hopes to have a nice collection in her new home. When you’re getting ready for the day, Momo will sit with you and insist that she should have the same makeup or skincare that you’re using! In the afternoon, you’ll find her taking a catnap in a sunbeam, enjoying the breeze. Her evening routine starts with a good play session, followed by brushing and a nice dinner. Momo is quirky and endearing, and when you meet her on her terms, she'll be the best feline companion you could ask for. This cat knows what she likes in life! Momo is a happy camper when she has vertical scratch pads that she can scratch and take a good stretch on. Regular play sessions with her toys help to ensure she’s burned off her energy and is on her best kitty behavior. Momo also does best with a clean litter box with clumping litter that is scooped a few times a day. Two litter boxes kept in quiet, easily accessible areas of the home would be ideal. If Momo sounds like the paw-fectly unique cat that you’ve been looking for, click the "Adopt Me" button to submit an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/d79ebfdc-5824-47d1-9e11-aacae453d421 July 9, 2024, 10:07 am

Story
Meet Alice! This sweet girl is a shy, but quite loving cat. She is looking for a home along with her brother, Jasper, who she is bonded to and must go home with. When Alice first arrives in a new home, she’ll likely be a bit shy. As she builds trust with her new family, she’ll settle in and blossom into a very affectionate kitty. Once she opens up, she’ll be looking for lots of human interaction – she loves cuddles and attention! During the day, Alice likes to relax in her cat tree and do some birdwatching through the window. She also enjoys following her people around the house, looking for some attention or a treat! She’s always happy to be brushed and use her scratching post. When it’s playtime, she loves chasing after string toys, though you might catch her dropping her toys into her water bowl! The ideal home for Alice would be one who can adopt both her and Jasper. She and her brother are an affectionate pair who spend all day together and snuggle up at night. Her adopters should also be patient and give her the time and space she needs to open up in their home. Are you ready to meet Alice and Jasper?
