In the heart of Compton, California, amidst multiple chemical plant businesses, our dedicated team launched a heroic rescue operation to save a struggling colony of cats that had made the industrial zone their dangerous home in April 2024. Over a tense three-day period, our team methodically set traps throughout the area, driven by a relentless hope to rescue five feral adult cats, four, four-week-old kittens, and a fragile one-week-old newborn—the lone survivor of her litter. All were saved. "Cali" Calico was the momma to the newborn kitten. It was determined that Cali is very sweet and affectionate so she stayed indoors to be adopted in our rescue. Shortly after Cali was rescued, she was placed with her newborn kitten, Leia to nurse, but unfortunately Cali was smarter than her foster and she escaped and became pregnant from the neighborhood cats. She had 6 kittens and some are still available for adoption through our rescue (Triscuit, Frito, Chenille, and Domino). Cali is a very patient cat, She likes to sleep most of the day, but she will happily accept pets and lickable "Churu" treats daily from her forever family.

Penny has been through a lot in her short life, but her sweet spirit continues to shine. Since January of 2025, she was seen living outside a home in Anaheim always in the yard, never allowed indoors, while a dog lived comfortably inside. Our rescue has been helping cats in that area, and Penny was always there… patiently waiting. We recently learned that Penny’s former owner moved out and heartbreakingly, Penny was left behind abandoned and no longer being fed. A kind neighbor stepped in and asked for us to take her into the rescue. Since coming into our care in mid-May, Penny has shown us how gentle and loving she truly is. She enjoys being pet, seeks out human attention, and seems to know she belongs indoors with a family of her own. She’s calm, kind-hearted, and so deserving of a second chance. We are currently seeking a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adoptive home for Penny, somewhere she can decompress, feel safe, and finally experience what it means to be truly loved. Penny will fill your home with quiet affection and bring peace to anyone lucky enough to welcome her in. ** Penny does cough once in a while. She has had diagnostic testing done and we believe she has asthma and/or seasonal allergies.

We met Timo at the Yorba Linda Petsmart with his bonded pair, Senator. Timo is a very friendly cat once he warms up to you! He loves to roll over and show you his belly, and when you call or talk to him he will do a little meow in response. He loves belly rubs and cuddling. He would do best in a home with no other pets besides Senator since they are bonded. They both like to play with each other and other cats may not enjoy their energy. However they are very good with people and children!

We first met Senator at the Yorba Linda Petsmart as a kitten with his bonded pair, Timo. He is about 2 years and 8 months old. Senator is a very social and chatty cat once he gets to know you! He loves to play and explore, and has a quirky personality that will always brings a smile. He loves pets and cuddles, and will nap with you on the couch or in the bed. Senator and Timo would do best in a home together only, as they are rather dominant and might play a bit rough with other cats. They will cuddle, play and groom each other.
