We adopted our kitten from a rescuer 2 months ago. We sometimes call her cat-dog because she is so playful like a dog. Loves to chase balls, carry sticks around the house, hide behind the corner and jump out and play tag. Super affectionate /purs like crazy. Loads of personality. She came from a rescuer who had dogs and other kittens. She is 5-6 months old. She loves watching Cat TV. She was perfect with the liter box for the first two months but eventually started using a houseplant as a liter option. I figured she was thinking she was outside in dirt. We moved the plant but this persisted. I think a new environment with a fresh start would be a fix as she was 100 percent perfect with the liter box before she found the big potted plant. She is so playful that I think kids or other pets to play with would be so fun for her.

Suzie is a stunning dilute calico who joined our rescue family in April 2023, a survivor of the streets of Hawthorne. Suzie's story is one of resilience and the compassion of Good Samaritans who sustained her for several years. When a caring couple noticed her pregnant for the third time, they knew Suzie deserved something more, something better. With available space, we gladly welcomed Suzie into our family. Within days, Suzie brought six beautiful kittens into the world and, true to her nurturing nature, they thrived under her care. They have all found loving homes. Now, it's Suzie's turn for a home of her own. We believe cats like Suzie, with the wisdom of age, are purrfect companions, although many may overlook them. Suzie is a feline with a distinct personality. She adores affection and playtime, but it's all on her terms. When she's ready to wrap up the festivities, she gracefully lets you know with a gentle paw push or a casual stroll away. But no matter what her situation,  Penny continued to take exemplary care of them. And when a blind singleton orphaned kitten was brought to her, Penelope, lovingly took in that little baby and nursed her along with her own. All 5 babies are now weaned, Penelope is spayed, tested and has her vaccinations. She is sweet, kind and gentle and she gets along with other cats,  but she would be fine as an only girl. Hi, I’m Yael. I was rescued from a Seal Beach alley with my three kittens a few years ago. What a relief it was to get off the street into a safe place. I was not used to being around people and I still don’t allow people to approach me but I don’t hide as much as I used to and no longer run for my life when someone enters my room at SBACC. I enjoy the company of other cats and am comfortable here. I wouldn’t mind living out my years where I’m loved and cared for by a wonderful team of volunteers and staff.  Maybe if the right person came along, I could adjust to a new home, but SBACC feels like home. Snuggy is like her name. She likes to snug with you. She is about 7 month old rescued from a homeless encampment in K-town. She is super sweet, will follow you around and greet you when you wake up. She loves to rub against you, drop on the floor and expose her belly. She is a great hunter and loves to play! See her jump an run when you take out her toy! Snuggy is smart and curious and will be great in a home with another cat (I have other 3 and shes good friends with them all). Snuggy knows where I keep the treats and as soon as she see me open the treat drawer she sprints to the kitchen to get her favorite. Little baby girl! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped ready for her FUREVER home.

COURTESY POST This handsome big boy, 14 pounds, was found hanging around an apartment complex where he was being fed by some of the residents. They became concerned about his well-being and where he came from. After a few months of posting pictures of him on a few websites and around the neighborhood, they took him to a shelter where they found out that he had no microchip but was neutered. This is when one of the concerned residents decided to "foster" him. Lugano (Luke) loves to play with a bird attached to a string/stick and loves to chase the laser! He has a sweet disposition and with time becomes more and more responsive to affection. The people who were concerned enough to take him off the street hope he will find a furever home. A sassy girl! She can be adopted by herself or with her son Sakura. Mama is 3 yrs. young, up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, spayed and microchipped.
