Garfield was born in 2016. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He’s been the best cat anyone could ask for. He’s super laid back, gets along with other cats and gentle with babies. Named after the cartoon, he looks like Garfield, but oddly does not like human food. He’s happy with cat food and cat treats. We hope he finds a safe, loving home because he deserves it!

Layla was born in Feb.2025. She has been with us since Summer of 2025. We have 2 dogs. One dog is fine with her, and the other dog will just continually bark everytime she sees her and because of this the dog stays in a bedroom with the door shut pretty much all day. We've tried all types of different things to see if things could change but they just arent changing. We have 2 older dogs, 13 and 12, and maybe we shouldnt have brought a kitten in. I just want Layla to have a good home because she is very loveable. She still plays like a kitten. She loves plastic bottle caps, and hiding in paper bags. She's never had an accident.

Is anyone interested in adopting this kitten? I am willing to pay for her vaccination and spaying to the nice family who adopts her. If anyone wants to foster her, I can help with food and vet visits until she gets adopted. She needs to be in a home with no other cats. We have been calling her Chip. We found her in our backyard after the rain storm. She was two and a half weeks old and barely weighed a pound. This little girl fought so hard to live. When she purred she sounded like she was full on marbles. She had pneumonia, a major upper respiratory infection and conjunctivas. We gave her a bath and a flea treatment. We took her to the vet and had labs done on her, (Unfortunately the labs took two weeks to come back because they were lost in shipping) We found that she has feline herpes 1, feline calici virus and mycoplasma selis. We were able to treat the mycoplasma selis and pneumonia with antibiotics (we have 7 more days left). We cannot keep her because we have three other cats

Two young women approached the AALOC front door and rang the doorbell. With only one team member working that afternoon handling all the animals’ needs she was unable to respond immediately. When no one answered quickly enough the two women left the box with five precious female kittens and drove away. We are currently maxed out on space but how can you turn your back on these sweet little babies that no one cares about? We named these adorable, female cats after perfumes. If you’ve ever owned a cat, you know healthy cats smell delicious. They constantly groom themselves to keep their fur clean. Cats also use smell as their primary sense for identifying people and objects. Felines have over 200 million odor sensors in their nose. Compare this to humans who have a mere five million. Cats can smell more than 14 times better than we can so always be conscious of the smell of scented litter, candles or other items/people that might upset your cat. Besides, we think Estee, Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Tabu are very upscale cats. And we know they all need and deserve great forever homes. It was the very worst time to be abandoned: Lily was pregnant and ready to give birth. Luckily, she was brought to AALOC and gave birth to her precious litter of four kittens, one male and three females, in the safety of our shelter. Born just before Easter Sunday, the male was named Peter and the females Cadbury, Jellybean and Peep. Lily is a stunningly beautiful calico cat. Her markings are quite unique: Lily has a pure white chest and front and back legs, but the rest of her body is a variegated calico color. She has a cute pink button nose and golden eyes. Lily is friendly but timid, and we feel she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. Please submit an application to adopt Lily at www.AALOC.org. I adopted Oliver from a shelter when he was a kitten, and now he is 4 years old. Oliver does not get scared around people, and he is goofy, sweet, and easy to take care of. Best of all, he gets along with other cats, dogs, and children. However, just this past year, I developed a chronic cough and asthma that is worsened due to my allergic reaction to cats. I hope that he can find a home where he is properly cared and provided for :)

Trixie (named after bellatrix) is quite the trickster. She is a 2 year old cat. She might have a tough exterior (or a RBF) but she is a lover girl at heart, when she chooses you and wants to cuddle you it is such a special and sweet moment. She’s super vocal and has the cutest trills. She will meow when: she can’t find you in the house, if she wants you to come see what she is doing, or if she wants to cuddle. She is very social with humans and cats. She loves to play with wand toys, balls, kick sticks, and catnip infused toys. She is spunky and a little feisty, however she is the funniest and smartest cat you’ll meet. She’ll always make you smile. Respect her boundaries, she does not like belly rubs at all but she LOVES chin scratches sometimes a bit aggressive ones and maybe even a head squeeze.

Adopted my pet from a foster two years ago who previously had an owner who needed to relocate as well. She is three years old now and needs a new home as I will be moving. My cat is honestly the most affectionate pet (even relative to other cuddly cats) and is a total sweetheart. Though a bit on the shy end, once she warms up to you, she is very friendly. Though she would do best as a single cat, she could potentially good with other cats and the additional play. PS I do not have a lot of good photos but plenty of videos!
