This princess was adopted from FCS as a kitten in 2021. She was adopted with a kitten from another litter, but they never bonded. She was returned to us in June because she had become unsocial, spending most of her time in the basement. When she came back to us, we discovered that she had an extremem case of eosinophilic plaques on her body, but mostly on her stomach. She was uncomfortable and shut down. She has since been treated for this auto-immune issue with prednisolone when she has flare ups. We suspect this was contributing to her anti-social behavior in her last home.  The reality is, Oakley is an adventurous and loving cat who loves pets.  She will push her head into your hand and rise up on her back legs like a meercat. Oakley loves to tell you her opinion on what she is thinking and loudly! She is a cat who loves to play and loves to look out windows.  Oakley is looking for someone who can enjoy a single cat who will love you fiercely. Oakley would prefer a quiet home where she is the only cat and there are no young children. Please complete an application on our website to meet her or schedule a visit at catfelounge.com ##1186325##

Pumpkin is a female long haired calico. She is very affectionate, silly and friendly. Pumpkin loves attention, pets and when you talk to her. She needs more attention and time, that I dont have anymore. I really want to find someone that would be able to give her that one on one time that she loves. She loves to play and chase lights around. She has a specific ball that shes obsessed with, you can find them at Walmart for .50 a piece. They are her favorite toy, she will play fetch with you with it. If you throw it, she'll bring it back until shes tired. Shes a huge lover girl and will bond with one person very deeply. She loves when you talk to her, she will talk back. Shes good with kids aged 1-15. Shes great with other cats and isnt bothered by the dog. Shes very food motivated and I think very trainable, if someone had the time to work with her.

She once shared her home happily with other cats, including an older kitty she was especially close to. One by one, her feline companions passed away from old age, and since losing her favorite friend, she has struggled. There is also a small dog in the home, and although they are the same age, she is simply afraid of dogs. She now spends much of her time hiding away. Her family is keeping them separated, but they know that isn't the life this sweet girl deserves. They want her to have the chance to thrive again, in a peaceful home where she doesn't have to live in fear. She has previously loved living with other cats, so a calm feline companion may be just what she needs. A quiet, dog-free homewould be ideal. Her family loves her tremendously, and this decision is breaking their hearts. They are willing to send her with everything to help make the transition easier: her bed, food, treats, catnip, litter, and soft-sided carrier. Sometimes loving an animal means recognizing that the home they need may be different from the home we can give them. This little lady deserves sunny windows, cozy beds, gentle companionship, and the freedom to come out of hiding.  Interested in giving her that home? Please email Making Miracles Animal Rescue at mmarpaws@gmail.com and we will put you in touch with her family. Please share. Her peaceful little retirement home might be waiting somewhere in your friends list. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment.
