Story
Charlie (calico) and her sister Nami (diluted calico) are 1 years old (May 23rd) and have been together since birth, so I will only adopt them together. Charlie is extremely cuddly, playful, constantly purring, and escapes outside because she loves it there but does not go far. Nami is not as cuddly but can be convinced, she is just as playful, but only enjoys looking at outside from the window. They are both great with our dog and young child. Both do great in carriers in the car. Comes with 3 litter boxes, two soft carriers, and wet/dry food. They have their first round of shots, rabies, and are microchipped (hasn’t been registered yet).

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
***Video of him can be seen on our Facebook page here.*** Lionel has had a hard time finding the right home. He and his two siblings are sweet and friendly cats, but they just don't like being picked up. When you're at a shelter, that can mean you keep being passed up. This young trio really like people, but may never be the cat who's always in your face. His mom, LOURDES arrived at the shelter just in time to have 4 perfect kittens. She was a perfect mom, very involved in her babies development and not letting them out of her sight. She trusted shelter volunteers with them, but always kept a watchful eye. She was a stray community cat that a resident noticed was being picked on. LOURDES was in an awful situation, trying to find a safe place to have her kittens, while also worrying about food and her safety. She and her playful kittens deserve a responsible home committed to cherishing Lourdes and her siblings. Story
Approximate birthday 5/16/2024 Not all cats get the gentle beginning they deserve. Dorothy has known hardship and heartbreak but she has also shown incredible strength. Now she's ready for the one thing she's been waiting for all along: a safe, loving home where she will never have to face those struggles again. This beautiful little black panther began life as a stray. Along the way she endured the devastating loss of her babies after a serious medical crisis, and bravely fought through heartworm treatment. Her re-check is soon and we are hopeful she is past it! Through it all, Dorothy has remained resilient, gentle, and hopeful. Dorothy adores curling up in laps, soaking up pets all over, and quietly enjoying the comfort of being close to her person. We hope you like kisses! She gives them! What she needs now is someone who will promise her that the hard part of her story is over. Dorothy is ready to trade survival for soft beds, sunny windows, and a family who will cherish her every day. If you can open your heart to this brave girl, she'll reward you with warmth, loyalty, and the sweetest companionship. Let's help Dorothy click her paws and claws three times... and find her way home. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**June 13, 2026, 9:58 am
