You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hello!  I am Cyndi (Lauper).  I am a beautiful 10-week-old female Calico who was rescued with my mama and my 2 siblings.  I am very sweet, affectionate and playful.  I love all my toys and snuggling with my brothers.  I will be UTD on all my shots, neutered and microchipped very soon.  I would love to meet you.  I will steal your heart with my beauty as my foster mom says I am the most beautiful baby she's ever seen.   Come meet me for pets and snuggles!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. June 5, 2026, 1:29 pm

Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
TJ and her brother had been hanging out in West Village, desperately wanting to come inside for months. A man who was feeding them brought them to us because they were not fixed and not getting the veterinary care that they needed. TJ's brother was adopted months ago. TJ, on the other hand has a heart murmur. After an echocardiogram it was determined she needed medication to help her heart. She was recently spayed and is now 100% back to being the sweet angel she is. She will be on medication for her lifetime! She will also need bi-annual appointments with her cardiologist.  She enjoys looking out the window sill, purring in your lap and retreating into cozies just to be near you. She doesn't use her claws, but also isn't afraid to grab your hand and give it an affectionate nibble to say: 'I love you,' or 'Play with me.' This very spoiled girl also isn't afraid to use her voice either to get what she wants most - your attention.  TJ would do best in a calm environment due to her heart. She scares easily and hide to calm down, so rambunctiousness is best avoided. She may do well with other cats as long as they are calm by nature. We don't know how she does with dogs, she will be fine with gentle children. ##2571525##

Story
Meet Mickey & Minnie — the cutest little duo you could ask for! These two are the definition of bonded best friends. Whether they’re chasing each other through the house, curling up together for naps, or quietly keeping you company, they truly love being side by side. Mickey and Minnie have been wonderful to have around the house and bring such a sweet, comforting presence wherever they go. They balance each other perfectly and are happiest when they can play, cuddle, and explore together. Minnie has an especially adorable habit of carrying her favorite toy mouse around and proudly bringing it to her people like the world’s tiniest hunter. It’s impossible not to smile when she trots over with her little prize. These two would love a home where they can stay together forever, continuing their life as the perfect pair. If you’re looking for double the love, double the entertainment, and double the cuddles, Mickey & Minnie are ready to steal your heart. ##2717502##

Story
Serval and her siblings came to us three months ago. They were pretty shy so we called them "the bobcats." Serval seems fond of her brother Iriomote. They would be fine if adopted together, however either would do well if there is a friendly cat in their new home. All of the "bobcats" are sweet and not aggressive. They are shy with new people but quickly become friends if you have a Churu for them. They will all need special homes, maybe in pairs, maybe with another cat. Please visit them at Catfé Lounge! ##2601696##
