This pretty calico was abandoned at an apartment complex, where one of our Colony Feeders found her very pregnant. She was immediately taken into Foster and had her six little babies soon after. She is a wonderful mama and she is a very sweet cat who deserves a better. Candy was living outside when she was found and taken in to foster. Like a lot of female cats that live outside she was pregnant. She gave birth to 6 little babies while in her foster home. Candy is an awesome protective mom. Her babies are ready to find their homes and so is she. Candy is a bit sassy. She gives love bites and will sometimes swat at your hand or leg. Candy loves being petted especially under the chin. Candy doesn't like any of the resident cats. Her ideal home would be a home with no other cats and older children that can understand her sassiness. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tweety Bird was thrown out of her $500,000 home into a winter storm at night with a cardboard box and a blanket in it cruelly in the freezing rain and snow while her owner left to go out of country for a few months. She was starved, had ear mites, is front paw declawed and about 8 years old. She has had a very rough start in life, but we think she was loved at one time and someone most likely gave her away to her last cruel owner. She developed a very bad cold as well in the freezing cold in December. Tweety was also missing some teeth sadly and had a painful mouth requiring a few more teeth to be extracted. A good Samaritan put her in her vehicle and tried to help her as much as they could. We stepped in to rescue her but sadly don’t have a foster home open for her right now, so she is in a boarding facility. Tweety recently had a dental, blood panel and vaccines and is very healthy now and waiting for her perfect home. Tweety absolutely loves being held, she'll fall asleep in your arms or lap and purr extremely loud. She doesn’t seem comfortable around other kitties yet so a home without kitties or slow introductions with a separate room to start with would be great for her. Could you be the loving home this beautiful pint size beauty deserves? Please consider this sweet kitty. A senior or a quiet home would be perfect for this middle-aged lap girl. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. He was found in Garden City needing attention and was brought into the rescue. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. They love to snuggle up on the bed with their foster mom at night and lounge on the couch with her during the day. Goldie and Rod also love to watch tv - especially bird tv! With the consistent love and patience of their foster mama, they have blossomed into increasingly confident and social kitties. They LOVE LOVE LOVE sitting by the open window, feeling the breeze on their whiskers. Rod loves to chirp and chatter. Goldie enjoys stealing Q-tips from her foster mama's stash; she plucks one out, throws it around and comes back to pluck more.
