Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tweety Bird was thrown out of her $500,000 home into a winter storm at night with a cardboard box and a blanket in it cruelly in the freezing rain and snow while her owner left to go out of country for a few months. She was starved, had ear mites, is front paw declawed and about 8 years old.  She has had a very rough start in life, but we think she was loved at one time and someone most likely gave her away to her last cruel owner.  She developed a very bad cold as well in the freezing cold in December.  Tweety was also missing some teeth sadly and had a painful mouth requiring a few more teeth to be extracted.  A good Samaritan put her in her vehicle and tried to help her as much as they could.    We stepped in to rescue her but sadly don’t have a foster home open for her right now, so she is in a boarding facility.  Tweety recently had a dental, blood panel and vaccines and is very healthy now and waiting for her perfect home.   Tweety absolutely loves being held, she'll fall asleep in your arms or lap and purr extremely loud. She doesn’t seem comfortable around other kitties yet so a home without kitties or slow introductions with a separate room to start with would be great for her.   Could you be the loving home this beautiful pint size beauty deserves? Please consider this sweet kitty. A senior or a quiet home would be perfect for this middle-aged lap girl.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Parker is a sweet boy that very much loves getting pets and love from people! He was found in Garden City needing attention and was brought into the rescue.       HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Raven. 2 years old (in human years). Spayed. Very shy and reserved at first. Will run away from you. Will not leave you alone once she gets comfortable. So nosy and always in your business. Loves belly rubs and cuddles. Will greet you when you come home by waddling on her back and screaming at you. You know when cats blink to say they love you? She just stares. Weirdly obsessed with feet. A whole fool and a half. Confuses you with furniture and will sit on you. Best laundry attendant and cleaning associate. Will assist by supervising and sometimes getting in the way. 10/10 employee. Just needs a new home where she can be given the proper love and care she deserves. Previous owner (or owned by) allergic.

Story
We adopted Finn in 2017 from the Huron Valley Humane Society. He's very smart (the HVHS was clicker-training him), social, patient and sweet. He's great around kids (including our toddler), LOVES attention and is the life of the party when company comes over. Finn lets you pick him up and will lay/sleep with you and affectionately knead you or clean your hair. He's an absolute sweetheart. He had a crystal blockage in 2022 that was removed. Since then, we've kept him on a wet food only diet to increase his water intake and have had no reoccurrence. Finn has recently become an indoor/outdoor cat after years of being strictly indoors (when adopted he was listed as an "indoor barn cat"). He is vocal about his outdoor time and food! We're looking for a loving home that keeps him busy. With our growing family, he's not getting the attention he deserves, and our toddler is too rough on him. He would prefer an indoor/outdoor scenario and freedom to graze on his food. He's 8 years old.

Story
Robin's Egg might not be the sweet treat you find in your Easter basket, but she is a sweet girl looking for her forever home! Robin's Egg is a social gal that can generally be found begging for attention from whoever is walking by! She's social and sweet, a lovable lady with so much to offer! Robin's Egg does have a sassy side though and can get over stimulated and easily agitated. She'll do best in a home with older kids who can respect her need for space. And might be best with an experience adopter who can read her body language and know when she needs a break. Robin's Egg is generally a low key, laid back gal that likes to sunbathe and chirp at the birds! She just might be a cat that needs a little space now and then.
