Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tweety Bird was thrown out of her $500,000 home into a winter storm at night with a cardboard box and a blanket in it cruelly in the freezing rain and snow while her owner left to go out of country for a few months. She was starved, had ear mites, is front paw declawed and about 8 years old.  She has had a very rough start in life, but we think she was loved at one time and someone most likely gave her away to her last cruel owner.  She developed a very bad cold as well in the freezing cold in December.  Tweety was also missing some teeth sadly and had a painful mouth requiring a few more teeth to be extracted.  A good Samaritan put her in her vehicle and tried to help her as much as they could.    We stepped in to rescue her but sadly don’t have a foster home open for her right now, so she is in a boarding facility.  Tweety recently had a dental, blood panel and vaccines and is very healthy now and waiting for her perfect home.   Tweety absolutely loves being held, she'll fall asleep in your arms or lap and purr extremely loud. She doesn’t seem comfortable around other kitties yet so a home without kitties or slow introductions with a separate room to start with would be great for her.   Could you be the loving home this beautiful pint size beauty deserves? Please consider this sweet kitty. A senior or a quiet home would be perfect for this middle-aged lap girl.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 21, 2024, 9:43 pm

I found the momma kitty at work. She was abandoned. I didn't realize she was pregnant at the time, but she had three kittens on 4/5 and this one is left. I had a potential adopter who has not responded so I need to find her another suitable home. She is beautiful and has a great and playful personality.

Story
Approximate birthdate 12/22/22. Hello my name is Mia, I can be aggressive with head butts and wanting attention, but I'm a big time lover. I do not do well with lots of noise I would prefer a quiet home with older children. I'm calm during the day and love playing with my toys at night or when I get my zoomies. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**May 20, 2024, 11:05 pm

Story
Meet Violet! This beautiful girl is a special cat looking for an equally special home! Violet arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we don't know her history. She initially was very fearful and did a lot of hiding, but started to open up a bit after a couple weeks. Violet is the kind of cat that does not handle change well and she's had a hard time settling into the shelter. She's shown us that she has the potential to be a social and friendly cat as she will lean in for petting when she's feeling comfortable and enjoys exploring her surroundings around her people. She's also shown that she doesn't have great coping skills as her fear often displays as defensive aggression. Violet is definitely on the independent side and is more of a look, don't touch type of cat. She thrives well in an open environment with room to roam and find her bearings. She isn't always fond of the people around her, but she loves other cats and would love to join your mini colony at home! We are hoping Violet can find her perfect adopter to give her a new start and another chance at the life she deserves with some fellow felines!

Christy is a sweet gentle kitten who likes to run around, hide in the linen closet with her kitty pal, eat wet food, and cuddle. She is timid at first, but once she feels safe, she will sleep on your lap and greet you with rubs and kisses. She has a great purr, too. Christy is spayed, vaccinated, Felv/FIV negative, & microchipped. You can fill out this preliminary adoption application on our website to meet her! https://savingcatskittens.wixsite.com/savingcats-kittensmi/adoptions

Story
Taylor Swift once said: "Karma is a cat, purring in my lap cause she loves me!"Meet Karma! This pretty girl arrived at the shelter as a stray with a microchip, but she unfortunately was unable to be reunited with her family. She's a shy gal who takes some time to settle into new places, but she's such a sweetheart once she feels comfortable! Karma likes to hide and can be easily startled, so she may not enjoy a chaotic home or small children. But give her a few pets, especially some butt scratches, and she'll start making little biscuits and rolling around for belly rubs! It's obvious she was very loved and she can't wait to love you in return! Like Ice Spice said: "Karma is that girl, and she's your bestie!"Karma was adopted for some time and was described as a very friendly and loving cat when she was feeling social. However she was not fully comfortable in the home as she didn't care for the resident pets: a dog and another cat. Karma will need to be the only pet in the home and would prefer a quieter environment.
