VIVIENNE was found abandoned in a carrier in an alley, where she was almost never found. She also had a life-threatening health problem. Viv's intestine had herniated through a hole in her abdominal wall. A large part of her intestine had become trapped and was at risk of becoming septic. She was very thin due to her body being unable to process food. Thanks to Pound Pals Downriver and their mission to provide medical intervention for sick/injured homeless animals, and the talented medical staff at Southgate Animal Hospital... Mira(Miracle) was born in August 2023. Our family found her outside as the only kitten. She currently is indoor/outdoor and does very well. She will let you know when she wants in/out. Mira is UTD on all shots and spayed. She is an independent cat who doesnt really love the snuggles and only wants attention when she wants it or asks for it-She has her limits on too much affection. She loves food and treats. She would do best in a home without younger children as she might scratch with too much attention or touches. I am unsure if she gets along with other cats or dogs. We are seaching for a new loving home for Mira with a family that can be patient with her and give her the independence she wants. Please feel free to ask any additional questions you might have.

She was found all alone in Detroit and was almost hit by a semi truck before rescued. She loves playing with her little foster friends, she would do best in a home with other kitties to play with. Blueberry Muffin is ready for her forever home!     HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. My parents adopted these two female cats as kittens from the Humane Society of Huron Valley about 4 years ago. Since then, my dad has passed away and my mother has been in and out of the hospital so much that she can no longer live alone. Consequently, these cats have to be re-homed and, unfortunately, my wife is highly allergic. If I had to imagine a day in the lives of these 2 girls I would have to say it was one of peace and quiet with a lot of love. The darker of the two is much more reserved at first and warms up eventually, while the other takes much less time to get acquainted. We are hoping that someone (or more than one person since they don't appear to be attached?!) can adopt these 2 gentle girls.
