Story
I purchased Ginger from a someone for my daughter a bday gift. We were told that Ginger was a girl when got him. While using the restroom room one day, he came in and I seen his man parts and realized she was a boy. By that time, he wouldn’t not entertain any other name so Ginger stuck. He’s vary skittish but once he gets attached and trust you, he’s clingy. He loves to play with toys, especially lazors in the dark. He also loves watching tv. His fav movies are Secret Life of Pets, Pets United and Hotel Transylvania. He loves to be warm and comfortable. If you can’t find him around the house, he’s probably in the smallest and darkest place. He tends to hide behind the furnace, under the bed and he’s even been under the sink in the bathroom. Ginger likes his box clean and will use it elsewhere If it’s not. Our second cat Spencer died and he was so sad. He’s now getting his appetite back. My daughter had a baby and we are both too busy to keep him. Looking for an amazing home for him.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Hello! I am stage 5 cuddler Frankiebean! Friendly social kitty who previously lived with 5 males, so I would really like a home to call my own now! I absolutely love being held and playing with a laser light or cat toy. If you are looking for your perfect companion, look no further! I’d love to become a part of your family. Spayed & UTD on shots. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 27, 2026, 8:54 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Princess Aurora is a beautiful dilute calico. She is a wonderful, loving kitten. She becomes attached to her owner. She is on the calmer side for kittens She is playful and gets along well with other cats and kittens. She is also good with dogs that don't chase cats. She does take time to get comfortable in new settings. Princess Aurora is litter trained her vaccines are up-to-date and she is spayed. If you are interested in making princess Aurora a part of your family fill out an application at Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Lolita and Bodhi are a bonded pair and will be adopted together  Lolita is a calico through and through—full of personality, opinions, and charm. She’s delightfully sassy and chatty, often sharing her thoughts from the highest perch in the house, where she can keep a watchful eye on everything below. Lolita likes to do things on her own terms, and while she’s not always a lap cat, she does have a softer side she saves for quiet moments when she feels extra safe (we suspect she might just be a little bashful about it). She’s a master of hide-and-seek, and you’ll often spot just the tip of her tail peeking out from under the couch or hear mysterious clanks and adventures happening in the basement. Lolita has a gentle, caring heart, especially when it comes to Bodhi—she’ll curl up with him and seems to understand when he’s not feeling his best. Though she used to play tag with him more often, these days she shows her love in calmer, more tender ways. Lolita would thrive in a home that appreciates her independent spirit, her quiet affection, and the special bond she forms with those she trusts. ##2188605##

Story
True to her name, Ella is pure magic wrapped in tortoiseshell fur. This sweet, short-haired domestic princess is about 3 years old and has already lived quite the fairy-tale adventure. 👑🐾 Ella’s journey began when she accidentally hopped onto a delivery truck and found herself whisked all the way to Michigan. With no microchip and no way to trace her past, her story with us began there. Understandably, she arrived a bit shaken and shy—but give her a moment, and her true colors shine beautifully. 💕 Beneath that initial timidity is an incredibly affectionate soul who lives for head scratches, gentle pets, and quiet companionship. Ella doesn’t demand attention—she invites it. She’ll softly bat her paw, weave around your feet, then flop onto her back, belly up, asking for just a little more love. 🥹🐾 She has impeccable manners: ✔️ Fully litter box trained (zero accidents!) ✔️ Uses her scratching post like a pro ✔️ No scratching, no biting ✔️ No counter surfing, no tree climbing, no chaos ✔️ Just calm, gentle perfection And her cutest feature? Her voice. Ella’s tiny, squeaky meow earned her the nickname “Squeak”—because she literally sounds like a squeaky toy. It’s impossible not to smile when she talks. 🐭💬 Ella does well with gentle children and other cats. While we’re unsure about dogs, her soft nature suggests she’d thrive in a calm, loving home where patience and kindness are the norm. If you’re looking for a gentle companion, a quiet shadow, a heart-healer who simply wants to be loved—Ella Enchanted may be your purr-fect match. 🐾💖

Story
Mickey is a truly special boy, a resilient FeLV positive cat who's been through a lot and is now ready for the loving, dedicated home he deserves. This handsome fella was fending for himself in a colony on the streets, but those days are behind him. He's now safe, warm, and dreaming of a family to call his own. Being FeLV positive means Mickey's immune system can be compromised, but with the right care, he can live a long, happy life. He needs an adopter who understands his unique needs and is committed to providing him with a safe, indoor-only environment. Mickey absolutely must be the only cat in the home, or live with another FeLV positive feline companion. This is crucial to protect his health and prevent the spread of the virus. Despite his past, Mickey is incredibly sweet and deserving of all the love in the world. He's ready to put his street days behind him and embrace a life of comfort, good food, and plenty of affection. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Mickey is waiting to show you just how much love a FeLV positive cat can give.
