Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tweety Bird was thrown out of her $500,000 home into a winter storm at night with a cardboard box and a blanket in it cruelly in the freezing rain and snow while her owner left to go out of country for a few months. She was starved, had ear mites, is front paw declawed and about 8 years old.  She has had a very rough start in life, but we think she was loved at one time and someone most likely gave her away to her last cruel owner.  She developed a very bad cold as well in the freezing cold in December.  Tweety was also missing some teeth sadly and had a painful mouth requiring a few more teeth to be extracted.  A good Samaritan put her in her vehicle and tried to help her as much as they could.    We stepped in to rescue her but sadly don’t have a foster home open for her right now, so she is in a boarding facility.  Tweety recently had a dental, blood panel and vaccines and is very healthy now and waiting for her perfect home.   Tweety absolutely loves being held, she'll fall asleep in your arms or lap and purr extremely loud. She doesn’t seem comfortable around other kitties yet so a home without kitties or slow introductions with a separate room to start with would be great for her.   Could you be the loving home this beautiful pint size beauty deserves? Please consider this sweet kitty. A senior or a quiet home would be perfect for this middle-aged lap girl.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Smore was adopted to be a companion for another kitten who recently passed away from an autoimmune disease. She is sweet, talkative and playful. She's also incredibly smart! She loves opening doors and IKEA drawers. Issue is she is very timid and is being bullied by my partners male cat. She is an easy target because she won't fight back. We have tried pheromones. We have tried making new cat habitats for them to be away from each other. We have tried reintroduce th3m and separate feedings. She is living her life afraid. We only get to spend time with her when we lock her in a separate part of the house with us. If you want to give this beautiful little girl a quiet, peaceful (aside from children. She loves my children! Boys 8&9) please reach out. She is fully vaccinated, chipped and spayed. She sits still for nail trimmings and tolerates being carried around like a baby by two little boys who love her. You will not find a more docile little girl.

Story
Indoor friendly, lovable female calico senior cat (spayed/front declawed) needing to be rehomed. She was rescued as a stray kitten and has had only one owner. Enjoys lounging and sleeping throughout the day. Very low maintenance pet. Will make a perfect companion for someone older who is able to give her the love and affection she needs as she’s aging.

Story
Approximate birthdate 12/22/22. Hello my name is Mia, I can be aggressive with head butts and wanting attention, but I'm a big time lover. I do not do well with lots of noise I would prefer a quiet home with older children. I'm calm during the day and love playing with my toys at night or when I get my zoomies. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**April 28, 2024, 11:39 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hello, I’m Erebus! I’ve got a “Little Rascals” style eye patch marking and am almost 50/50 black and white! I am a gentle giant and quite shy, but once I get to know you, I would like some head pets and a few belly rubs. Please be very patient with me. I enjoy playing with fishing toys and wrestling with my best friend, Kabuki. I get along well with other cats. I am not sure how I feel about dogs since I have never met one, but I did grow up on a farm, so I have most likely met other animals. I’d love to become one of your family, as long as you have a quieter home and are willing to give me some time and space to feel safe. I am not really what you might call a lap cat, but I am sweet as pie.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Dutch (aka Duke) is a 13-year-old male cat. Unfortunately, Duke's owner passed away, and he was brought to a shelter by his owners’ family. He was very confused and was meowing sadly. Luckily, a volunteer from Last Day Dog Rescue happened to be at the shelter that same day, and we were able to rescue him. At his age, Duke deserves to be loved on and spoiled. He seems healthy and likely has several good years to spend with a new forever family. Duke is friendly and loving, he enjoys head scratches and being petted. He has an adorable yowl/purr sound. All he wants is love and attention, good quality cat food (he seems to prefer kibble and not canned food) and to be next to you. He would prefer a quiet home where he can relax by your side. Duke is quite the handsome gentleman, short haired with soft white and grey fur! Duke is neutered, all four paws declawed (by his previous owner), and negative for FIV/FELV. He has been vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. If you are interested in meeting Duke, please fill out an adoption application. After a vet check has been completed, we will contact you for a meet and greet. &#226&#128&#139 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. I went to the ER vet and I had an emergency c-section and hysterectomy. I went into premature labor and was having trouble - they tried to save the kittens but they were too premature.    Now I am ready for my forever home. I love to get pets, knead dough, and hang around with my foster dad. I am a playful, affectionate gal. I do well with young kittens, but not a fan of older cats and please NO dogs. I am afraid of the loud noises the dogs make and don't really care for those guys. Looking for humans to hang out with and play with me. Do you have a lap I can frequent? I'll cuddle with you. Give me love and I will return it ten-fold.   If you would like to meet me fill out an application!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
