Story
Butterscotch came from a feeding colony. Rescuers believe she was dumped because she was so sweet-natured and always come out when meals were served. She spent her life outside until someone decided to give her a chance at being a beloved house cat. She was brought into foster care because of her gentleness. Around new humans, Butterscotch is a shy and quiet girl. But, here is the most unusual thing about Butterscotch: she is a natural babysitter around tiny kittens. She will love and nurture nursing kittens and actually takes turn caring for them to give relief to their mama cat. We suspect her mothering nature stems from her time in the feeding colony, where young female cats often care for nurslings that are part of the community. Despite a luxurious, pampered life indoors, Butterscotch is still cautious. She always had to be careful and on the lookout for predators when she was on her own. While she might look a little worried, she is very gentle and her foster family can hold her. If you are interested in Butterscotch, please let us know so we can set up a zoom meeting with her foster home to show her. Story
All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Fleur, approx. DOB 5/11/23, was born to a feral mom and lived under a deck.  She was brought inside and the foster has worked with her and her sibling to get them friendly and healthy.  If you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll recognize where she gets her name from! She loves to explore the house and her favorite game to play is hide and seek. She really enjoys cuddling alongside her sibling Hermione, but another one of her favorite spots to rest is at the top of her cat tree under the sunlight. She grows more and more confident around humans every day and would make an adorable addition to your household. Fleur and Hermione will run up to their foster for attention while rubbing in and out of her legs.  They have never been around dogs or kids and would probably be best without young kids in the home.  They love to watch CATS TV.  Because she is especially close to Hermione (they start meowing and looking for one another when they aren't around each other), it is preferred that they be adopted together. System ID: MSM-1-24 -DOB: 5/11/23. Lucy likes solitude, she’s not very social. She will come to you if she wants petting. She does not like dogs, she has lived with another male cat her whole life but I do not know how she will feel about any other cat, she may not like other cats. She has always been an inside cat and only been out a few feet from the front door. She does better with just adults.

Story
Meet positively gorgeous Ruby! a beautiful Calico with medium-haired floof, she is a mom who came to the rescue along with her four kittens after being found living on the streets. Currently living in a loving foster home, her foster mom shares that this girl is sweet and talkative. She loves to be by your side.  She enjoys toys, head scratches and curling up on your lap.  A floofy lap cat, what more could you ask for? She will make a great companion.  Ruby does not yet like to be picked up (we know that will come in time) but she will come to you and sit on your lap or right up next to you.  Being close and comfy is her superpower and she is a definite stress-reliever kitty! Her estimated birth date is March 7, 2024. She was barely out of her kitten stage when she had her babies. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2380522##

Story
Little Wendy, or sometimes just called Little or Wendy, is an adorable 8 lbs. of energy. She had a challenging few months - living on the street, boarded at the vet, and adopted for a week(and returned through no fault of her own) before coming to live with her foster mom. Lots of tough transitions in a short period of time. Though fearful at first, she has settled in really well in her new environment and is super playful, affectionate in her unique and sweet way, and loves to be petted. She loves be around her foster mom. This girl enjoys company and just being close by. She flops over on her side or back to say hello when foster mom enters the room.  She adores her little fuzzy ball toys, torn up papers, strings, and catnip. She cajoles and assists her mom into retrieving the balls under the couch that she can't reach. Wendy will spend time looking out at the outside world from the bedroom or living room window for quite a while.  And you can tell she is just happy to be indoors and safe. You'll see her racing up and down the stairs and flying over furniture - a typical one year-old kitty. She is good about using the cat scratching box, too. And, she sleeps quietly throughout the night…enjoys a long snooze. We think Wendy may do best as an only cat. Her estimated birth date is October 29, 2023. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2335186##

Story
Meet gorgeous Defender, Fendie, for short. She is the beautiful long-haired Calico mother of the Off-Road Crew litter of four.  She and her kittens came into TMHPR when they were found by a kind soul when this family was living outdoors with this protective mom working hard to keep her little family safe. She is espcially gorgeous with her luxurious fur and vibrant coloring and has a very sweet personality. When she came into the rescue, she had lots of matted clumps in her fur and she began her own mission to fix this issue by pulling out a clump of her hair!  Poor thing. Now she gets brush time daily and she loves it. Her foster mom just needs to pat the couch and Fendie jumps right up for a brushing spa treatment. It is her time to offer up soft purrs and head nudges. Due to her time on the mean streets working to keep everyone safe, she was a bit stressed in the beginning and took refuge under furniture, but now, she is out and about letting her foster family know she loves attention and enjoys being part of the action of a busy foster home!  Her floofy tail and her big whiskers could have their own Facebook or Instagram page. She has raised her four kittens and now she is living her best life as an empty-nester. This beauty would love to find a home of her very own and would prefer being an only cat. Her estimated birth date is November 22, 2023. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2410335##

Tigger needs a new home soon 🧡 This sweet 2-year-old orange tabby is playful, gentle, and fully litter-box trained. He loves toys, naps, and cozy corners. Tigger comes with an enclosed litter box, bowls, and mats—everything he needs to settle in. He’s currently looking for a new forever home, but may have to go to a shelter if we can’t find one soon. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, loving companion, Tigger could be the one. 🐾

Story
Petunia is a sweet, gentle cat we adopted in 2020 with her sister. In 2021, she escaped and lived in a neighbor’s yard for nearly a year. When we brought her home in 2022, we had adopted two more cats, and unfortunately, they never accepted her. They bully her, block her from food and the litter box, and often chase or attack her. The stress from this, combined with the trauma of being feral for so long, has led to behavioral issues, including inconsistent litter box use. We have tried many approaches to help her adjust, but we no longer have the time or resources to give her what she needs. It breaks our hearts, but we know it is not fair to keep her in a home where she is constantly fearful. Petunia deserves a quiet, loving home, ideally as the only cat or with slow introductions to calm pets. With patience and care, we believe she can thrive again. If you can offer her a peaceful home, please contact us. We are happy to support the transition.

Squeaks was abandoned in our neighborhood. He is shy but once he knows you, he loves to cuddle. He has been an outdoor cat and is an excellent hunter. He sleeps inside at night and is comfortable in the house. He does not like being left in the house all alone.
