Story
Meet Gracy! Gracy is a beautiful dilute tortie. She has absolutely stunning golden eyes and the cutest pink nose. Not to mention her marking are beautiful Gracy is sweet and gentle. She enjoys pets and quiet time. She would do best in a home that is quiet without a lot of activity and other pets. Gracy was born in a colony, she is the only survivor of her litter. She was initially going to be a TNR. However, she showed up wounded probably at the hands of a not nice human and her caretaker brought her in and got veterinary care. She decided that Gracy deserved in indoor loving home. Because of her past, Gracy is a little shy around new people, but is sweet when she gets to know you. Estimated DOB 2022 ************************************** Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for 2, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots, microchip, combo test, deworming, and collar and ID tag. Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo "Cleopatra" is a beautiful cat with big green eyes who is shy but affectionate when she warms up to anyone. She has a little cut on her right tip of her ear from when she was living in the streets. Her favorite spot to be scratched is her chin. Cleo is both shy and curious about her surroundings. But once she feels safe and comfortable she makes herself home and lays around. Cleo was found in a parking lot and after few head scratches she instantly felt comfortable to be around me where she could be pick up. The vet put her over the age of 1 years old. Cleo is such a smart and loving that she deserves the best instead of being in the streets. Story
Little Wendy, or sometimes just called Little or Wendy, is an adorable 8 lbs. of energy. She had a challenging few months - living on the street, boarded at the vet, and adopted for a week(and returned through no fault of her own) before coming to live with her foster mom. Lots of tough transitions in a short period of time. Though fearful at first, she has settled in really well in her new environment and is super playful, affectionate in her unique and sweet way, and loves to be petted. She loves be around her foster mom. This girl enjoys company and just being close by. She flops over on her side or back to say hello when foster mom enters the room.  She adores her little fuzzy ball toys, torn up papers, strings, and catnip. She cajoles and assists her mom into retrieving the balls under the couch that she can't reach. Wendy will spend time looking out at the outside world from the bedroom or living room window for quite a while.  And you can tell she is just happy to be indoors and safe. You'll see her racing up and down the stairs and flying over furniture - a typical one year-old kitty. She is good about using the cat scratching box, too. And, she sleeps quietly throughout the night…enjoys a long snooze. We think Wendy may do best as an only cat but after proper introductions she may be okay with another friendly cat. Her estimated birth date is October 29, 2023. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2335186##

Story
Meet Gumbo, a beautiful Calico girl. She's active, very communicative, will crawl in our laps and snuggle - on her terms. She is confident and good at letting you know what she wants and needs! We think she would do really well with a cat-savvy family who understand how cats communicate. She is very much a Calico with her spunky and assertive approach to life. She would thrive and flourish in a household with other cats. She loves the toy balls to bat about and adores the play tube/tunnel. She likes high places and play wrestling with her brother Bayou. Does like to use the cat tree for scratching….a very nice habit! Her estimated birth date is July 12, 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2156879##

Story
Meet Indy! A bashful but beautiful approximately eight-year-old Domestic Short Hair from Norman, OK, whose tortoiseshell coat is as enchanting as her quietly curious soul. Indy’s journey started with a street-smart spirit—her clipped ear hints at her early days—but today, she’s a soft-hearted observer of the world from the comfort of a cozy windowsill. This petite eight-pound lady is the queen of birdwatching and squirrel surveillance, often seen chattering away with a mix of feline excitement and sass! She’s a big fan of the slow approach—give her a week or two, and you’ll find a sweet, affectionate side that reveals itself on her terms. And when she wants pets? Oh, she’ll let you know exactly when the scratchy service is required! Indy thrives on routine: dry food served all day with a delightful wet food dinner in the evening is her kind of fine dining. She's microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations—ready to step into a new loving home with all the grace of a seasoned housecat. She’s especially friendly with fellow felines and has a surprising fondness for dogs, too. In fact, once she’s comfortable, she can be quite the playful little whirlwind, chasing her tail or playfully darting around with her furry companions. Whether she’s perched in a sunny window, chirping at birds or soaking up a quiet evening in your company, Indy brings a sense of peace and simple joy to every space she graces. Her new family should be patient, kind, and ready to offer her the time she needs to feel secure. Once she settles in, you'll be rewarded with her soft meows, warm presence, and a daily show from the best seat in the house—right at the window! Are you the one to welcome Indy into your home and heart? To learn more or meet Indy, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Meep! A charming eight-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair from Georgetown, TX, whose essence is a cozy blend of sunshine naps and sweet "meeps" wrapped up in a soft brown tabby coat. Meep is the perfect mix of independent explorer and affectionate cuddle companion! He’s a little connoisseur of comfort, famous for opening his "bakery" each night with vigorous kneading—and sometimes, a little drool of pure contentment! His tiny "meep" of a meow will absolutely steal your heart, especially when he announces it’s time for brushing, one of his very favorite activities. Show him a brush, and you’ll be rewarded with an enthusiastic concert of meows! Despite his mature age, Meep still has a good deal of pep in his paws and enjoys daily play sessions, especially if they involve tossing around his beloved silvervine sticks. He's not much for catnip or typical treats, but hand him a Delectables yogurt treat, and you’ll have a friend for life! Meep is also a window-seat aficionado, spending hours sunbathing and chattering at the birds, looking perfectly regal stretched out in his window bed. Meep thrives best as the only pet in a home where he can bask in all the love and attention. However, he may do well with a quiet, cat-friendly dog who respects his space. He will do best in a calm, adult-only home without children, where he can settle in at his own pace and enjoy both companionship and independence. Once comfortable, Meep will happily curl up in your lap while you work, relax, or game—and he adores sleeping beside his favorite person at night. Because Meep can be a little anxious during big changes, he is currently taking Fluoxetine to help him feel secure. His veterinarian recommends continuing it for a while after adoption to support a smooth transition into his new, loving environment. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who will serenade you with sweet conversations, warm your heart with his nighttime kneading, and bring a daily dose of charm to your life, Meep might just be the perfect addition to your family! Story
Meet Ninja! A seven-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair from The Colony, TX, whose sleek black coat hides a heart full of love, opinions, and the most delightful vocal commentary you've ever heard. At a sturdy 17 pounds, Ninja is a gentle giant who knows exactly what he wants—whether it's a snack, a snuggle, or a prime window seat to keep tabs on the neighborhood birds. He’s got a playful streak that shows up when the wand toys come out or the scent of catnip fills the room, but he’s just as happy lounging like royalty and soaking up your affection. In fact, don’t be surprised if you wake up with him curled up beside you or even stretched out across your back, purring like a motor—his idea of a love letter! One of Ninja’s most endearing traits is his constant communication. This guy doesn’t meow—he converses. Whether he’s hungry, stuck in a room, or simply has a few things on his mind, Ninja will let you know in no uncertain terms. His expressive personality makes every day a little more lively and a lot more heartwarming. Ninja is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. He’s healthy overall, though he has a tendency to eat a bit too quickly (which sometimes results in a little mess), so slow feeder bowls or meal pacing may help. He’s not one for feline roommates and should be the only cat in his new loving home, where he can reign as the king he truly is! His ideal family will be showering him with love, patience, and plenty of conversation. He needs a caring environment where his affectionate nature is cherished. Are you ready to welcome a big-hearted, talkative snugglebug into your life—and your lap? Ninja is waiting to tell you all about his day! Email adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about making Ninja a part of your family!
