Story
She is spayed and up to date on shots. She is extremely loving, wants lots of belly rubs, and enjoys being brushed. She is litter box trained. We took her in as a rescue, but unfortunately she and our other cat don’t get along. She could be good with other cats, but the other cat must be interested in being friends too! She is overall in great health, as we have helped her gain some much needed weight. She does love to eat, and we will send her to her new home with a self dispensing food bowl for dry food, a few cans of wet food, and a small soft sided carrier. She really just wants to be around people as much as she can, and due to the other cat and her fighting we have to keep them in separate rooms and split up their time with us.

Story
I got her as a kitten and wanted to have her be with me forever, but she just needs someone who can pay her lots of attention and show her all the affection she needs. I work a ton and don't have time when I get home. I have another older male cat and they get along great, but he just requires less attention since he is older. Looking to have her find a forever home with the right loving family!

Story
All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Harriett Female, spayed DOB: 2009 Meet Harriett. She’s a beautiful, long-haired calico senior who recently came up from the Galveston Humane Society to Dallas. We don’t know her story, but our guess is her owner either went to a nursing home or passed away. Harriett is very sweet and loves to be petted and gently brushed. She’s content sitting quietly. Her foster mom says Harriett would love to be someone’s lap kitty. Because of her age, she needs to be in a low key household. An update on Harriet.  She had abnormal kidney function on recent labwork.  So we started fluid therapy.  The fluids are helping as she's eating almost normally now and is a little bit more active PH**Want to adopt? All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Fleur  Fleur is a spayed, 4-5 month old calico kitten. If your're a Harry Potter fan, you'll recognize where she gets her name from! She loves to explore the house and her favorite game to play is hide and seek. She really enjoys cuddling alongside her siblings, especially with her sister Hermione, but another one of her favorite spots to rest is at the top of her cat tree under the sunlight. She grows more and more confident around humans every day and would make an adorable addition to your household. Because she is especially close to Hermione (they were brought in together), it is preferred that they be adopted together.    **Want to adopt? Story
Hi! My name is Sweetums. I got my name from you guessed it…being so sweet. I was originally brought into TexasCARES as a pregnant momma. I was the best momma and all of my babies got adopted. I was adopted too but somehow I found myself back on the street and fending for myself. I didn’t deserve that and I am so happy to be back inside and safe. Because I was living on the streets, I am cautious of new people. Once you build my trust, I will love you forever!  I am not a big fan of other cats and dogs probably due to having to live in such a stressful situation outside. Everything was pretty scary for me. I would love to be an only pet in a home with a caring person or family who would let me cuddle by their side. Older kids that don’t want to carry me around would be fine. I do love pets and playing with toys is my favorite. Any wand toy will keep me endlessly entertained. I sure hope you will consider giving me my forever home! I promise I am so worth it.      NOTE:   While currently in great health, Sweetums has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  Many FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with no symptoms at all, especially when raised exclusively indoors.   However, FIV can weaken a cat’s immune system over a period of years so proactive vet care is crucial.  FIV is not communicable to people or other pets such as dogs, rabbits, etc.  The virus is not spread among cats through casual contact such as shared food/water/litter, mutual grooming, or playing.  It is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds inflicted as part of serious aggression among cats.   We encourage you to do some research on FIV – too many great kitties get passed over due to outdated or inaccurate information about this condition.  June 24, 2024, 8:31 pm

Story
Hello there! I'm Murray, the most charming orange/white tabby boy you'll ever meet! I was rescued from the shelter alongside my brother, Hopper. While I may seem a bit reserved at first, just give me a moment, and you'll witness my heartwarming transformation. I express myself with a delightful melody of purrs and love "chirping" at my foster parents and feline friends. My foster mom affectionately calls me "Purry Murray" because my purr engine revs up instantly when you shower me with pets. Oh, did I mention my fondness for treats? Catch me eagerly waiting in the kitchen at lunchtime, ready to showcase my endearing trick of standing on hind legs and pawing for treats. The coziest spot for me is right by your side - be it on a chair, sofa, or snuggled up in bed. I'm a spirited cat reveling in playtime with toys, my dear brother Hopper, and our fellow foster cats. If I'm not frolicking around, you'll likely find me enjoying a peaceful nap. And rest assured, my litter box manners are impeccable. I thrive in the company of other kitties, so a home with a feline companion would be purr-fect for me. I'm eagerly anticipating finding my forever family. Don't hesitate - fill out that application for me today, and let's embark on a heartwarming journey together **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hello there! I'm Hopper, a delightful red/orange tabby kitten, and I've got a heartwarming story to share. Rescued from a shelter alongside my brother, Murray, I sport the cutest red/orange birthmark just below my nose. My foster mom affectionately calls me a "purr box" – a simple chat is all it takes to set my purring in motion. You'll often find me perched on the desk, keeping my foster parent company during work. I've taken it upon myself to stand guard at the window, shielding my foster family from the antics of mischievous birds and squirrels. And let's not forget my love for treats – I don't just love them, I demand them, especially come lunchtime. My foster mom has a little routine where I stand on my hind legs and "beg" for treats before indulging in them. Being an energetic fellow, I thoroughly enjoy playtime with toys, my brother Murray, and the other foster kittens. When I'm not in the midst of play or enjoying a meal, you'll find me cozily napping. With my outgoing personality, I quickly warm up to new human friends. While my litter box habits are impeccable, I'm still refining my use of the scratching post. Given my social nature, I'd thrive in a household with another feline companion. I'm eagerly awaiting the day I find my forever family – could that be you? Don't hesitate, fill out an application for me today!Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Are you ready to add a dash of sweetness and a sprinkle of sass to your life? Look no further, because Daisy is here to steal your heart! This charming little tabby with adorable white paws is currently strutting her stuff in her foster home, but is on the lookout for her forever home. Daisy may come in a petite package, but her personality shines bright. She's got just the right balance of sweetness and sass, making her the perfect addition to any household looking for a little extra flavor. With her soft fur, enchanting eyes, and delightful tabby markings, she'll have you wrapped around her paw in no time. One of Daisy's favorite pastimes is soaking up all the affection she can get. She will happily purr away as you shower her with pets and scratches behind the ears. But don't let her love for attention fool you—Daisy is also fiercely independent. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it, whether it's exploring every nook and cranny of her new home or simply enjoying some time alone on a windowsill. While Daisy may be a confident little lady, she can be a bit shy when first meeting new people. But with a little patience and understanding, she'll warm up to you in no time and show you just how delightful she truly is. So, if you're ready to add a touch of sweetness, a dash of sass, and a whole lot of love to your life, sweet Daisy may be your purr-fect match!
