Peaches is her name, but as far as she’s concerned it’s Mammas. I’ve called her that as long as I’ve had her, so she answers to it and seems to be comforted by it when I say it. She’s a special lady who came to me as a mom of 5. I’ve had her a few months. Her babies were all adopted and she was a fantastic mama, but is very skittish. It’s taken time, but she’s gotten better with approaching me for love and her favorites is neck skritches. She will push her head right down into the scratch. She does not like to be picked up and would probably do best as an only animal if the house, although she does well with another young cat that is with her right now. She is still skittish and will run when I stand up move around (but has been getting better). She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She’s never bitten or swiped. Khaleesi is a short-haired torbie with stunning markings and a whole lot of personality. She’s very friendly, though she likes to take a little time to get to know new people before fully warming up. Once she does, her affectionate side really comes out.Khaleesi definitely has a sassy streak and prefers to interact on her own terms, so a home without small children would likely be the best fit. She enjoys cuddling and will happily sleep with you—when she decides it’s cuddle time.She gets along wonderfully with other cats and absolutely loves playtime. Khaleesi is also very comfortable around dogs of all sizes, from small to large. She’s known to climb from your leg straight to your shoulder for a better view and loves curling up in your lap while you work. Heart is gentle, social, and gets along wonderfully with dogs and other cats. Playful and creative, she can turn almost anything into a game (hands are reserved for loving pets only!). With her adventurous spirit and sweet nature, Heart brings joy wherever she goes. Bonded with CiriloCamilla arrived for meals around the same time as Cirilo. She appeared with half her tail missing, fresh wound with cause unknown. She was TNRed around April 2024 through the city and was then kept indoors to provide her medical attention for her tail (in the end no further treatment was necessary), give her respite from the Texas heat, and also to increase her chances of survival. At follow ups with a vet, she was estimated to be around 2 years old.She was initially very feisty, a bit scared, and a bit feral. She has grown into a total cuddle bug though, and she loves her pets though she is still a bit wary and will play-bite if she feels overwhelmed. She tends to be vocal and has a case of FOMO. She will calm down if she joins the party, and she will calm down after a few minutes if she does not. She is not too used to being picked up either even though she goes limp in one’s arms instead of fighting away. **Iris & Adonis are still in search of their forever home!! These darlings were found on top of a car, about 4 weeks old with their mother cuddled up in a ball. Mom was weak and malnourished. I think she laid herself up there for help. No mother cat exposes her litter like that. She needed help and she found it. We were able to catch mom (*Nani fostered by Angel Sarah) and kittens, then to only find out.. mom was pregnant again- later to have 6 more! All are now safe and have found homes or are being fostered by myself, Sarah, and the rescue. These are my last of Momma’s Mohicans. Cute note: Adonis was also mom’s birthing partner to her second litter at only a few months old. He did not leave her side and was mad at me when I took over. Iris & Adonis are bonded twin siblings that have been in foster for almost a year now. They are so sweet and deserve a real home.Both are loving and affectionate. Adonis is a dude and likes to saddle up next to you. He is a very chill guy. Iris is a love bug that is very playful. She is very dainty and is super inquisitive, likes to be held like a baby. Adonis is a heartbreaker…I’m tellin’ ya. They are very shy at the clinic and hide because they are homebodies and are not sure what to think about it up there. They will warm very quickly in a home environment.
