Story
Meet absolutely stunning Pizookie...a Calico beauty. She and her kittens, members of the Cookie litter, came to the rescue after being found outdoors. Barely out of her kitten stage, she had babies of her own and her time on the streets keeping her kittens safe had to be a difficult time for her. Currently living in a loving foster home, she is an empty nester learning all the loveliness of indoor life with kind humans.  She enjoys a cozy spot for a good nap and a good viewing of outside life from the comforts of home.   This sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and love, she blossoms into the most loyal and affectionate companion.  While she may not be a full on cuddler just yet, the good news is that she is always motivated by treats and snacks and we believe that being a snuggly lap kitty is in her future.  She gets along with other cats. If you’re looking for an easy and Zen companion who brings grace and warmth to your home, Pizookie is the perfect match. Her estimated birth date is April 1, 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2358723##

Story
Molly is one of a litter of kittens that showed up with their mama on our back porch back in April this year. The mother and one of the kittens disappeared so we rescued the remaining 4 when they were about 8 weeks old. Molly is a very sweet and playful kitty and friendly to humans once trust has been established. It takes some time for her to warm up to strangers. We also have a male littermate of hers named Jasper, who is also very sweet and playful and the two of them are very bonded. It would be ideal if they could both go to the same adopter. Molly is mostly white with black and orange (some tabby stripes) spots
We'll also keep you updated on Jasper's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Sofi — Your Cozy Companion with a Big Heart  Sofi is a stunning calico with a gentle soul and a deep love for her people. While she gets along well with other cats, her true favorite companions are humans—especially those ready for cuddles, belly rubs, and a cozy night in. Sofi enjoys climbing her cat tree, chasing her toys, and confidently exploring her space. She’s a gentle player who knows how to balance fun with relaxation. Mealtime is one of her favorite activities, followed closely by curling up beside you—she’s definitely more of a Netflix girl than a reader. This sweet girl isn’t shy about sharing her feelings either. Sofi loves to use her powerful singing voice and rewards her people with a strong, soothing purr. Affectionate, kind, and full of charm, Sofi is ready to be your loyal sidekick and bring warmth and love into her forever home. DOB 5.9.25.  Adoption fee $105.January 10, 2026, 1:12 pm

Story
Meet Alice — Gentle Soul, Expert Snuggler Alice is a quiet, sweet-natured calico  with a heart made for snuggles. She loves being close to her humans and is happiest curled up beside you or resting on your chest, purring contentedly. Her favorite hobby is eating, with reading a close second—especially right before bedtime, when she’ll happily “help” turn pages and settle in for the night. Alice is also wonderful at household chores like making the bed and enjoys gentle playtime after a refreshing nap. She adores scratches and thoughtfully returns the favor by grooming you. One of her most charming traits is her signature Eskimo kisses, which she delivers while purring softly and soaking up affection. Calm, loving, and endlessly comforting, Alice is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a cozy, affectionate best friend.  DOB 4.14.24.  Adoption fee $105.  January 11, 2026, 3:31 pm

Story
Mutt (the cat), one of the Schitt’s Creek kittens, was brought to a caring volunteer by his mom, a community cat. She was given a warm, safe place to raise her kittens inside and this little man has never looked back after is brother, David said it was OK! He absolutely loves his brother, David and enjoys spending his days cuddling in boxes and baskets with him. Don’t let his lounging ways fool you though; he is very playful and will demand cuddles and pets. If he isn’t getting enough attention, he will let you know that he needs TWO hands to pet him! Stop before he’s done, and he will nuzzle you till you have changed your mind. Mutt (the cat) is up-to-date on vaccinations and is spayed and microchipped. He is litter-box trained and uses cat trees and scratching posts appropriately. We are still accepting applications on this pet. Please read the Adoption Process steps below. Story
Our next events to meet our pets:  Saturday October 25, 2025 at Half Price Books in Richardson, Texas from 1-3PM 100 S Central Expy, Richardson, TX 75080   Meet Enoki, one of our little Mushrooms! This sweet kitten is ready to find her forever home. She love snuggling and playing and would thrive in a variety of homes!  Please note: We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think Enoki looks like she could be a Maine coon-type mix. She's likely a domestic long hair mix, but "Maine coon" has become synonymous with long haired cats. Most cats in the US are made up of a variety of different breeds, and we think Enoki falls into that category as well. Either way, we know she’s 100% cute!  Enoki is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $135.  Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria.
