He’s easily scared, but becomes friendly, wanting pets and attention, when he warms up to you. He is FIV/FELV positive so best as a single cat. He needs loving care, and gentle coaxing. He enjoys being outside and has a special talent for looking at you like he’s judging you, despite his desire for love. His markings are one of a kind, truly a gorgeous cat. Playful and inquisitive, Stewie also likes to help with house projects. Stewie needs a new home because his previous owner, my sister, died and I am not able to provide him a regular home. HS Fremont County has been recently overwhelmed with kittens, so EAPL has taken in these darlings to help get some adopted. They are a very social bunch, love to run and play. Just arrived 10/2, so individual descriptions are hard - a couple are shy at first, but they all warm up and are ready to play and explore within a few minutes of meeting. As always, big personality kittens can overwhelm some of the shier, so it takes a beat for them to show how wonderful they are and not be overlooked. Chief Bogo, Gazelle and Nick Wilde can be shy, just for a second. Sally and Horton are polydactyls - and raring to go. Meet Dragon—a gentle kitten learning that people can be pretty wonderful. Dragon came to EAPL from Charlie’s Place after being relinquished. He didn’t have the easiest beginning, so he’s still building confidence and discovering what it means to feel safe in a home. Dragon is taking things at his own pace. He may greet you with a hiss—but it’s more dramatic than dangerous and has become one of his funny little quirks. Bring out a Churu treat, and you’ll quickly become much more interesting! He’s also learning how to play by watching the other kittens in his foster home. Dragon is curious and wants to join the fun, although he sometimes retreats when play becomes too exuberant. He prefers gentle introductions, calm attention and the freedom to approach when he feels ready. Dragon doesn’t need to be rushed. He needs a patient person who will celebrate the small victories—the first time he approaches, settles nearby or asks for affection. He just needs a Forever where he can feel safe and loved is what he truly needs. Dragon is currently in a local Evergreen foster home. Ready to meet him? Layla and her sister, Lacy, are 4 months old and fully vetted. They were rescued by a colony manager in Pueblo. Layla is a very sweet, calm and loving little Tabby kitten. Foster mom says she loves nothing more than to be cuddled and will snuggle right into your hands or lap for pets and biscuit making adventures. Soon she’ll be singing you the song of her people and nuzzling her nose into your arm and settling in for some serious snuggle time. She loves playing with little toys, especially feathers and toys she can carry around in her mouth. Wand toys are a favorite, as are the small balls with bells in them. She has the prettiest dark eyes and a beautiful striped coat that is very soft to the touch. She has been around small dogs with no issues. Lacey shares the same beautiful colored eyes, softest coat and very calm manner of er sister. She is a bit shy when it comes to being picked up but is learning there is nothing to fear in being held several feet off the floor. She enjoys cuddles and snuggles and will start her purr motor for you in no time at all. She loves to play with your fingers and absolutely loves toys that have bells in them. She will come running if she hears a bell. She is very sweet and loves her back scratched and her chin rubbed. She has been around small dogs and did fine. Every time you touch her, she'll meow at you and let you know whether she wants to be pet or not, though she has never hissed. Even if you are walking beside her she will meow at you and loves to have conversations. You'll never find a cat that meows more than Boo Boo Kitty. At the same time, she can be shy and jittery, and it takes some time for her to warm up to new people. She loves to play with a wand, or even a piece of string on the floor. She's not a big fan of cuddling, but loves to rub up against your leg to show her love. She's the type of kitty that will only cuddle on her terms. Most of the day, she's sleeping. You can find her hiding in small cozy spaces from time to time, where she loves to sleep and hide from strangers, but you will figure out her favorite spots quickly. When it comes to food, she grazes with dry food which you can leave out all day. She also eats wet food once a night around 6pm-7pm. She is also very territorial, and does not get along with other cats. She is okay with dogs, but ever since we got a dog she has been peeing around the house. I recommend having her be the only animal in the house. We're having to rehome Boo Boo because of changes in our living situation and we cannot take her with us.October 8, 2026, 3:37 pm
