Story
Allow me to introduce you to Topsy. Topsy is a delightful feline with a unique personality and a strong need for attention and affection. This adorable cat craves human interaction and thrives in an environment where they can receive ample love and care. She has a playful nature but above all she loves to cuddle with any human! She has spent the last 9 years in a two cat home- sadly, my other cat passed away in December and Topsy is struggling to adapt to being alone for most of the day while I work. When she was younger there was always someone working from home or the other cat around to keep her company. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the level of attention and care that this cat truly deserves. It breaks my heart to part ways with Topsy, but I believe it is best for her and I want to ensure that she finds a new home where she will be showered with love and attention. She is truly a wonderful companion for someone who can dedicate time and attention. Litterbox trained

Story
Hey there, I'm Zeddicus! I don't know much about my name, I've only had it since I came to MaxFund in late September 2019, but I've heard some volunteers say they think I should be named "Motor". That's because I have one of the loudest purrs you'll ever hear, and I use it a lot!Someone took me in off the streets about a month before I arrived at MaxFund, probably because I'm such a friendly guy, but then eventually brought me to the shelter because they were worried about my health. These days I'm feeling good, though. If you come to visit me in my room at MaxFund I'll immediately jump down and come sit in your lap...and start purring. I love attention, and *love* pets. I like treats a lot too. I'm still a young fella, so I'd probably be a pretty playful guy once I get a bigger space. It's hard not to notice that I've got a big personality, the kind that fills up a room. One thing you need to know about me is that I am FIV-positive. It's ok, I'm a young, strong guy and have many good years ahead of me. It just means that my immune system might be a bit weaker than that of others. Right now I'm in a room with another FIV+ cat, and we get along great! I am also diabetic which means that I need a special diet and insulin but my care is really very easy.Anyway, I guess all I'm looking for is a loving forever home, somewhere where I can get lots of pets and just be myself! I'm always appreciative of some pets and attention. If you are interested in meeting me, please call MaxFund to set up an appointment, as I am currently in Foster.

Story
Hello there! My name is Sly foxx and I'm a 3 1/2 year-old shorthair kitty! I have beautiful black and white fur, a silly little mustache marking below my nose, and striking bright golden eyes. I'm currently in a foster home and my foster pawrent says that I may play hard to get at first but once we get to know each other I'll be the best friend you've ever had! Try some treats, bits of cat food, toys, and kind words so that I learn to trust you. In fact, I bet we'll fall in love with each other! I'm a great investment and will be very loyal once I get to my forever home. I hope I get the chance to meet you!Sly Foxx is enjoying life in a foster home but still searches for her forever family. According to Sly Foxx's foster family:"She has truly come out of her shell. She started out hiding 100% of the time and now follows her foster family from room to room. She is VERY food motivated, loves treats and enjoys to be brushed. She plays with toys and enjoys basking in the sun in her window hammock. She's also very kind to their kitten and would be a wonderful companion for another cat! ??She would be such a great addition to a home with cats. She is so kind to our cat and has such great manners - no scratching furniture, uses litter box 100%, etc. Sly Foxx communicates with her eyes, marching into a room, circling and swishing her stub of a tail. She has the most unusual meow and can be very vocal. This is until you follow her and give her what she wants. She loves a schedule and knows when it's time for treats and when it's time to play. Are you ready to adopt your next kitty companion? Please consider adopting Sly Foxx."

Story
My name is Layla, meaning "daughter of the night". I am a dainty, beautiful, black girl cat, born in 2013.Sadly, I was relinquished because my family moved overseas for military deployment. I guess we all have to make sacrifices. The stress of the shelter has been hard on me, but I am really trying to make the best of my situation. I want loving human attention, but I need time to get to know you. I love treats and playtime with laser or wand toys. They say that I am a very smart and curious girl, who loves to explore like a kitten. I used to live with a dog, cat and children. However, I may be happiest as an only pet. I would thrive in a calm, slow-paced home.Update: I am so happy to have been chosen to live in a temporary foster home. I am calmer and happier, and I am even becoming a lap cat. Please go slowly in getting to know me, let me guide the way. I am sensitive on my back, so be careful with petting me in that area. That said I do love human company so much. I would blossom in a calm, loving home. I have been waiting for a home a while now. Gratefully I am also eligible for foster to adopt.

Story
Hello! My name is Jalapeno and I'm a two-year-old shorthair female waiting for my furrever home! I have the prettiest black and white fur and green eyes. I came to MaxFund as a feral cat, so I can come off a little shy at first, but I am currently in a foster home where I am learning how to build trust and gain confidence! I've grown so much since coming to MaxFund back in 2021 and would love to find my forever family and forever home. I hope to meet you soon!

Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau-the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn't instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn't like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat's wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?
