Story
Meet Compton – our resident silver fox and professional lap warmer. At 10 years old, this charming gentleman has been through it all and come out purring. When Compton was first rescued around Thanksgiving, he was in very rough shape—emaciated, covered in mange, fleas, and ringworm, and frankly, no one was sure if he’d pull through. But with time, love, and a whole lot of canned food, he made an incredible comeback. After a complicated dental and the discovery that he’s allergic to kibble (which likely contributed to his original condition), Compton is now thriving on a wet food–only diet and living his best life. Despite all he's been through, Compton is such an easy going guy and is the ultimate lap cat. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if he appears out of nowhere to settle in on your lap like he was born for it (spoiler: he was). He loves people, has never met a stranger, and can easily adjust to just about any home. Wanting a cat you can pick up and cuddle? He's your guy! He makes friends where ever he goes. Even his vet office fell in love with him! He's still playful too—wand toys and fuzzy balls are his jam! He’s also, quite frankly, a hungry hippo. This boy loves his food. Like, really loves it. Counter-surfing? Yes. Meal time enthusiasm? Off the charts. But hey, after everything he’s been through, we think he’s earned it. Compton is fine with other chill cats who respect his space—he’s not into being pounced on or chased by young whippersnappers. He’ doesn't love dogs, but could likely adjust to a calm, cat-friendly one who gave him space. If you’ve got a warm lap, a stocked supply of canned food, and a heart big enough to welcome this resilient, affectionate sweetheart, Compton is ready to claim his spot in your home (and on your couch). Compton has had a full dental, bloodwork, xrays, and an ultrasound, all of which say he's a healthy guy with lots of years and love left to give! Though he's currently on a prescription renal diet, our vet suspects he'll be able to switch back to normal senior cat food in a few months. We'll send you home with a case to get you started. (He's also neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed.) To meet Compton, please submit an adoption application.

Story
Meet Skittles and James, a perfectly mismatched yet totally inseparable orange duo looking for their forever home together! Skittles, at 2 years old, is a bit of a unicorn — orange females are pretty rare! Found as a stray kitten, she quickly decided that life was much better with a buddy, and bonded instantly with James when they met in foster care. Skittles is a big, beautiful girl with a permanent "resting worried face" that only makes her even more endearing. Once she warms up, she turns into a sweet, affectionate companion. Skittles loves everything playtime: mice toys, wand toys, laser pointers, and plenty of zoomies with James. James is the cool older brother at about 7 years old. He's a bit braver and more independent than Skittles. He enjoys pets and affection on his terms — definitely more of a "don’t call me, I’ll call you" kind of guy, and he has a serious passion for window-watching and keeping tabs on the local bird gossip. And not to worry - James still has plenty of playful energy. He and Skittles can chase each other for hours. James is also a proud member of the "chronic snuffler" club — after battling severe dental disease and losing most of his teeth, he’s likely been left with some scarring in his nasal passages. This means he may always have a little congestion that comes and goes, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his quality of life. Regular vet checkups (like any kitty needs!) will help keep him happy and healthy. Both Skittles and James are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and have had recent vet checkups. James also had a full dental a year ago. They’re ready to bring double the love, double the purrs, and double the orange cat energy into an experienced cat home! If you're looking for a perfect pair who balance affection, independence, and a whole lot of heart, James and his Giant Peach Skittles, are ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Lucy, a 3-year-old calico beauty with show-stopping heterochromatic eyes—one green, one blue. They truly don’t make them prettier than this girl. Lucy is as sweet as she is striking. After spending weeks in a shelter cage, scared and unsure, she's now absolutely craving love and attention. She’s extremely friendly and affectionate once she feels safe, and she’ll soak up every bit of love you offer. Lucy has a playful side too—she enjoys exploring her surroundings and chatting with her people, especially once she’s comfortable in her space. She’s lived with both cats and dogs in the past and may adjust well to gentle, respectful furry companions. Because she’s a bit nervous in new situations, Lucy would do best in a calm, predictable home without young children (older kids 12+ are fine). She just needs someone willing to go at her pace and offer the patient, loving forever home she deserves. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate companion who’ll reward your love tenfold, Lucy is your girl. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Boots! Boots is a 10-year-old kitty who was found outside during a bitter cold spell. This sweet boy has been through a lot and is now looking for a quiet, loving home where he can finally feel safe. He would do best as the only pet in a home without young or rambunctious children, as he is easily startled by loud noises and other animals. Despite his cautious nature, Boots is incredibly affectionate once he feels comfortable. He has a unique way of showing his happiness—by drooling when he’s especially content! He also has a habit of yowling in the middle of the night, just looking for some human connection. A cozy hiding spot is a must for him, as he likes to have a safe retreat when he needs it. When he was rescued, Boots was severely matted and had to be completely shaved down. While he wasn’t a fan of the process (understandably, as those mats were uncomfortable!), he is now mat-free and feeling much better. His current haircut may not be the most stylish, but his fur will grow back beautifully with time. To keep him from matting again, Boots will need regular brushing to keep his coat in good shape. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants a quiet life filled with gentle affection, Boots could be the perfect match for you. If you would like to adopt, please complete an application at https://www.circle2rescue.com/cat-adoption-application/ The adoption fee of $100 will help defray the costs of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and vetting.  Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our cats as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue. ##2338033##
