Story
Are you hiring? This is working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and ear-tip included. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 10.34 Age: 6yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Radiohead - he is a tender little thing in need of a home able to show him loving guidance at a slower pace. His perfect family will gain his trust by allowing him to approach on his own terms and timeline, perhaps with some tasty treats or interactive playtime to help him warm up in a low-pressure way Radiohead may share an adoption fee with either of his more-confident siblings, Destiny's Child 319635 or Chumbawamba 319634, as we believe they may help him adjust more quickly to his new environment and humans. If not adopted with one of his siblings, Radiohead is recommended to go to a home with another welcoming and sociable cat buddy. He's likely to be comfiest in an overall quiet household with older or no kids. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.8625 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
This gorgeous tortie can't wait to find a quiet new home and bestie. Paprika was originally at FAS as a shy stray, and we're not sure how much socialization with humans she experienced in her early life. For the past 18 months, Paprika lived in a quiet home where she was able to warm up beautifully to a single trusted caregiver, who offered her a predictable daily routine and low-pressure approach to interactions. The sweet moments she shared with her owner included lap-sitting, conversation, and a morning brushing ritual. Given her overall inexperience with new people and situations, the shelter has understandably been an especially stressful place for little Paprika. Her ideal adopter will offer her ample patience while she learns to trust again, allowing her to start seeking attention on her own terms and timeline. For her comfort, Paprika is available to a home with kids aged 10+ or no kids. She loved relaxing and playing with her cat sister in the past, and she is highly recommended for a new family that includes another welcoming cat. Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Black Orange Weight: 9.68 Age: 2yrs 3mths 1wks
