Once caution settled, he revealed his true flavor: a playful, deeply affectionate explorer who treats the home as his personal kingdom.An elite athlete, Cappuccino is an excellent jumper, scaling heights with ease to survey his domain. He is also a connoisseur of the "clink," preferring "industrial" toys like metallic pins and paperclips; feathers are welcomed as well. A natural investigator, a dedicated digger, he even loves splashing and playing with water.He is happy to be held but prefers to set the pace. He’ll sit loyally by your side, but he decides exactly when the petting session begins and ends. While he loves the luxury of being brushed, he has a strict "no cut" policy. He fully embraces high-tech living - like his automated feeder and litter box - proving he is a modern cat for a modern home.

He's gentle with other pets — he's been an absolute sweetheart with our 16-year-old dog, basically acting like his parent. In the mornings, he loves to chat with you and politely (or not so politely) remind you it's breakfast time. Grey – Available for Adoption “Grey is a lot more comfortable with me now. He purrs instead of hisses when I approach him. When I have any guests over, he hides from them which is understandable - new people are scary! But when it’s just us, he’s confident to explore the apartment and sometimes shares a couch with my resident cat. He’s quite playful with his toys and runs pretty fast too! Grey is especially affectionate around mealtimes, getting up on his hind legs and rubbing against me. He loves being pet especially on his head!” – Foster Mom Marlena Grey’s purr’fect home would be a quiet one without a lot of comings & goings. He will likely do OK with a calm, friendly resident kitty. He prefers to be on his own but probably won’t mind sharing a home with another kitty. Onyx – Available for Adoption Onyx is a stunning black cat with the sleek look of a mini panther. Estimated to be about 2 years old, this handsome boy was crying on the street maybe looking for someone to rescue him. We suspect Onyx may have been dumped before finding his way to safety. Despite whatever hardships he may have faced, Onyx is a friendly and affectionate cat who is learning that people can be kind. He can still be a little skittish at times, especially around feet or sudden movements, which makes us wonder if someone may not have treated him well in the past. But every day he grows more trusting and confident in foster care. Onyx is vocal and loves to “talk” to his people. He’ll happily let you know when he wants attention or when dinner is overdue. He may cry for a bit if he is separated from his person, as he truly enjoys being around others, but he settles down once he feels secure. We are not sure Onyx will get along with adult cats. He’s currently in foster care with kittens and gets along wonderfully with all of them. He’s starting to be a little playful, and enjoys being part of the group. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, black cat with a big personality that has plenty to say, Onyx may be the perfect addition for your family. Onyx is approximately 2 years old, neutered, negative for FeLV and FIV and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Meet Buddy! This guy is quite worried here at the shelter (look at those eyes...) so we are taking it slow and letting him adjust at his pace. We aren`t sure how he will be in a home - he may blossom completely outside the shelter, or he may be what we lovingly call a `spirit cat`. We often can’t predict how a spirit cat will be after they settle in – some become comfortable around their family and choose to spend time with them by sharing the same space or allowing some petting, while others continue to prefer to hide when there’s any commotion. Spirit cats generally prefer to spend their time around other cats and make an excellent kitty friend to a cat already in the home. Our staff can help prepare adopters to welcome a spirit cat into a quiet home, but patience and understanding will go a long way with Buddy.
