Story
When my person moved out of state to deal with her health issues, she left me with her daughter to care for me. I’m Stevie, a 4-year-old dilute tortoiseshell girl. It turns out that I have health issues, too, and the daughter, bless her heart, felt overwhelmed, so she brought me to Paws and Claws. I’m a very friendly girl who loves petting and attention. I play a bit, but I love attention more. I’m also a talkative kitty. I need to be on prescription food and will need to be checked by a vet periodically. Anyone interested in adopting me should talk to an adoption counselor about my special health needs. I’m an endearing girl who will steal your heart. I’d love to be your sweet Stevie girl.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” – Maya Angelou. My name, Ellie, means “bright, shining one.” I tend to be nervous in unfamiliar places. I am only about a year old and was a stray who had become shut in a warehouse. My rescuer said that I am a quiet girl who likes listening to music and to people’s voices. Although I was scared when I arrived at the shelter, I would come to the front of my kennel and allow petting and stroking with the stick part of a wand toy. I will need some time to settle in, but maybe if people take time to speak to me and maybe play some pretty music for me, I will feel safe and calm. That will help bring out the light I have inside me, for I am Ellie, a bright, shining, beautiful girl. Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Jasmine is a beautiful flower that grows in tropical and warm climates. It represents love and grace. I’m a lovely adult female named Jasmine. I was surrendered to Rochester Animal Control along with another kitty from my home, Alice. We need to go to our new home together. I am a quiet but friendly girl, and I like to be petted. This is a big change for us, and Alice does better when we are together, so we must be adopted as a bonded pair. In some cultures, the jasmine flower also represents new beginnings. With the love of a caring family, I will adjust and be a happy Jasmine kitty along with Alice.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Dove is available for viewing at VCA Cascade Animal Medical Center. Peace, love, and hope! That’s what the dove symbolizes. All that? I’m a lovely, solid grey adult cat who was found on my own in Oronoco. Coo, coo, coo! I’m a very friendly girl who loves to be petted, but I get squirmy when I am held. I do like to play, but most of the time, I want attention more than anything. If you’re looking for a coo-l cat to add to your household, I may turn out to be a purr-fect fit – a lovey-Dove-y girl who will add tranquility and joy to your life.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
3.14159…That might be my code name if I were an agent on “Get Smart” – sort of like Agent 86 and 99. Sorry about that, Chief. I`m Pi, a black cat who was found on Eastwood Golf Course in SE Rochester on 3/14, otherwise known as Pi Day. If you’re a math teacher, I’ll bet you have lots of fun on March 14. What do you have for dessert? Chocolate Pi? I’m a black cat, but please, I’m not quite ready for kisses. Do you know what’s wrong with the equation “Pi R squared”? You do, don’t you? Pi R round! I’m not square either. I was adopted at the end of April, but my new home was not a good match for me, so now I`m back at the shelter. I’m feeling – uh – out of sorts, I guess you could say. I’m normally a friendly guy, but coming back to the shelter has thrown me for a loop. It is taking me a while to adjust, but I’ll figure it out. I’m a friendly 2-year-old boy. You might even find out that I’m sweet, like that chocolate Pi. Please be patient with me. I’m still settling in, but I’m a wonderful cat, and I’d love to be your Pi guy. Story
“Bro, is that a Supra?” Uh, yeah, I’m the shyest, quietest kitten of my litter. I’m Supra, a cute grey tabby tuxedo girl. There are six of us kittens who came to the shelter with our mama Porsche from Zumbro Falls in mid-March. We were so little that we all went to a foster home, but now we’re old enough to find our forever homes. It takes me a while to warm up and trust people. If you’re someone who is on the fence about adopting two kittens, I’d love to go home with a sibling or my mama to help me feel more comfortable and settle in more easily. One of my foster mom’s students, 8-year-old Carolina, wrote this about my siblings and me: “These kittens are sweet and cute. They like to be petted and will need people to be patient with them while they warm up.” Carolina’s right. Be patient. I am sweet and cute. It will take time, but you will love me. I know you will. Yes, I am Supra!Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax
