Story
Don’t you love the feel of a cat’s fur? Mine is white and tabby, a nice brown color. I’m called Tucker. Did you know that the name Tucker means “cloth softener” or “cloth weaver”? I’m especially glad for my coat because I am one of 18 cats who were left in the parking lot of a boat store in December 2024! We were left together in 2 carriers/containers. A rescue group brought us to Paws and Claws, where we could be safe, warm, and receive the care and attention we need and deserve. I was adopted in April 2025, but unfortunately I was returned to the shelter in August because my people were moving and could not take me along. I appreciate attention and petting, and I started playing a bit my first day here. When you meet me, please touch. Please pet. Please talk to me. I’d love to have people spend time with me. I hope that someday soon I can be someone’s very own Tucker boy. Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Hey, everyone, Teresa here. Since I arrived here in December 2024 with 17 other “T Cats,” I’ve been trying to “bloom” where I’ve been “planeted.” Ha! My name comes from a Latin word that means “earth.” It hasn’t been easy. The whole bunch of us were found in a couple of kennels in a parking lot, so many of us are still rather shy but allow some petting if approached slowly. Quite a few of our friends have been adopted, but four of us are still waiting for our forever homes. We’ve made a lot of progress. We’re active, playful young cats. I’m a 2-year-old brown/orange tabby girl who loves playing chase games with the other cats. We all love wand toys and even that doggone laser light! One of our favorite things is Churu! If you want to be our hero, bring squeeze up treats! You’ll be mobbed! We have access to kibble round the clock, and when we get canned food – Fancy Feast or Friskies – that’s exciting too. I’ll be even more excited to be transplanted so I can blossom in a new environment, a forever home as your pretty, young Teresa kitty!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“Trick or treat!” Isn’t that what most hoboes say? No? Uh, “Will work for food?” Sure, yeah, that’s what I meant! I am too good looking to be called Hobo, but that’s what folks call me. I showed up on a property on Halloween, and I’ve been staying there until I can be adopted. I`ve learned to get along with other cats now. I haven’t been around dogs yet. I’m funny and super playful, and I’m fun to watch. I love the cat tunnel and any kind of string toy. What I don’t love so much is being held. I do so-so with being carried. It makes me a tad nervous. I’ve been doing great learning to be an indoor cat, and I’ll be a wonderful addition to just about any home. I love tricks and treats, and I’d love to be your Hobo boy! I will be staying in my foster home. Anyone interested in adopting me should apply online or call the shelter to make arrangements to meet me.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
I may have looked a bit bedraggled and scruffy when I was found near the home of a Claws staff member in NW Rochester, but now that I’ve been cleaned up, and vet checked, I have an identity, a name – Fluffy! I already had a microchip because I had been spayed as part of a TNR program. At some point, I’d been released and was out on my own. Coming into the shelter has been a bit unsettling for me, but despite being rather shy, I do like being brushed. I’m in a room with other cats, so I will also be around more of the people who care for me and the other cats. This will help me become braver and more social with people. I’m a lovely girl who’d love to be your sweet “fluff muffin” someday, so I hope you’ll come spend time getting to know me. I’m Fluffy, and I’d love to be your beautiful girl.Adoption Fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Jasmine (and Alice) are available for viewing at VCA Cascade Animal Medical Center. Jasmine is a beautiful flower that grows in tropical and warm climates. It represents love and grace. I’m a lovely adult female named Jasmine. I was surrendered to Rochester Animal Control along with another kitty from my home, Alice. We need to go to our new home together. I am a quiet but friendly girl, and I like to be petted. This is a big change for us, and while it is not required that we be adopted together, it may be easier for us to adapt to a new home environment if we can stay together. In some cultures, the jasmine flower also represents new beginnings. With the love of a caring family, I will adjust and be a happy Jasmine kitty. Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
It’s been said that there are worlds in an opal. The October birthstone symbolizes hope, purity, love, and creativity. Oh, my! I don’t know if I am any of those things! I’m a sweet tabby girl named Opal. I was found near Oxbow Park in early December and have been staying in a foster home since then. I am a very loving girl, and I can’t wait to be someone’s special Opal girl soon!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
