We’re sadly looking to rehome our sweet cat, almost 9 years old, due to stress in our busy household. She was found at just 8 weeks old—emaciated, very sick, and not expected to survive—but she’s a true fighter and has grown into a loving, affectionate companion. She is incredibly sweet in calm environments but does not do well with chaos or young children. When stressed, she hides and has anxiety-related litter box issues. This has been a heartbreaking decision, made purely out of love for her well-being. She would thrive in a quiet, low-stress home with patient adults who can give her the peaceful life she deserves. Say hello to Chopsticks! This gorgeous girl is a 4 year old cat who is sensitive in nature and still working on opening up and trusting new people. She arrived in our care with a leg injury that required her rear leg to be amputated, so between the medical care she has undergone and her shy nature, she has struggled to feel secure and comfortable at our shelter.After a lot of TLC and plenty of patience, Chopsticks has started to let her guard down and begin opening up to a few people, showing off a more curious and playful personality. You`re unable to pet her when you first meet her, but after a few weeks of building trust she has chosen her favorite people to shower with gentle companionship. Chopsticks is much more confident with another cat around, so she must be adopted into a home with another cat that can help her come out of her shell. After some adjustment and plenty of space, she will be sure to show you was a sweet girl she can be. Due to her sensitivity, she needs a low traffic home with no young kids so she can have a quiet and comfortable space to call her own. Energetic and active, Lentil is what we call an `overstim` cat. Unlike your average cat, he can get quite aroused by heavy petting and interaction with people. He needs a human who can read his body language and give him the space and breaks he needs when he is overstimulated. Lentil is an outgoing and adventurous boy who loves to travel and explore new places. He enjoys his carrier and has also started leash training. Playful and active, this goofy boy loves alllll the cat toys and could bat around a wand toy all day, or entertain himself with something as simple as a cat tunnel or a box just big enough for him to fit in.A social butterfly, Lentil loves meeting new people and being around his favorite humans, so much so, that he can have the tendency to be right at your feet. You may have to be more careful watching where you walk, but where you look you will see his curious loving eyes staring right back at you. Lentil is such a big personality that he needs to be the only cat in his forever home, so that he is able soak up every bit of attention from his forever people. He does show potential to live with dogs, but he would prefer a dog who can co-exist rather than one that is very interested in him. Because of his sensitive nature and overstim behavior, we ask that if there are any children in Lentil`s forever home, they be 13+ and able to recognize his boundaries and give him space when he needs it.
