Story
Ella Fitz Grrald is a strong, spunky, sweet little one…the runt of the litter with the biggest personality! She loves to give kisses and will run up to you and ask for one😽❤️ as she looks earnestly in your eyes. You can pick her up and kiss her but she doesn’t like to be held long. She is a happy lap kitty if she is tuckered out from her fierce girl playing and velvet rocket zoomies. She is the most resilient of the litter…chill in the carrier on car trips, the first out to explore and romp on play dates. She will be good with cats and dogs when properly introduced and supervised. Born 4/7/2022 Ella Fitz Grrald is one of a trio of tortie sisters in the Jazz/Blues Greats tribute quintet litter. from little mama Spot. The family of six were trapped and removed from a feral colony in River Oaks. Story
Miss Merryhill was named for the school in Arlington where she was trapped late on the campus one night, scared, hungry and alone. She is a beautiful and boldly painted tabby, her stripes and swirls made with a fat brush. She lives to play, be it with a feline foster friend, or chasing a toy dangled off a fishing pole. She is serious and earnest in her joyful pursuit of play and will leave it all on the field…often pushing herself to her limits and will flop down for a breather like a marathoner past the tape. She will try to engage with any kitty…even the big, grumpy old man cats for a serious wrestle. When she is tuckered out, she will seek the lap of the two-legged family folk…leaping lightly in the lap will a full throttle purr. Story
Roxanne Butterfly is a tiny tux with a big heart. Sweet and smart, tough and determined, this mama kitty managed to keep her babies safe from predators hidden in a rocky ravine in River Oaks. She was smart enough to bring those babies to a teacher’s house living next to the ravine so her babies would be safer still, trapped, fostered and loved. She had a jaunty, rocking gait when she came to be fed and would fall over when vigorously rubbing her savior’s ankles. She wasn’t hurt, she was just different…perhaps a congenital condition with the tendons in her back legs, the vet said. So she was named for a French tap dancer living in NYC. Elegant in black and white, she just looked French. She is bonded with one of her kittens, Greta, as Greta is devoted to her mother…watching out for her as mama watched out for her and her siblings out in the very real and scary outdoors. Roxanne loves to play and a jingle toy can bring her dancing into the room, and Greta won’t be too far behind. Mama Roxanne tested positive for FIV, but Greta and her siblings did not. As the principal lead in their little troupe, Roxanne is a class act and she and Greta would love to be the stars of your home production! Story
Sunisa ‘Suni’ l’Extraordinaire, named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics carries the torch for her namesake, USA gymnastics Olympic champion, Sunisa Lee. Lee is an Auburn Tiger and so is Ms. Suni (sue-knee) l’Extraordinaire with her with copper and blond auburn tiger stripes and sweet le tigre face. She is athletic and graceful and her leaps to the cat tree beam are a thing of beauty. Her feather boa tail may make her seem the diva, with that haughty flip of that floof flag and her wide-eyed gaze but she is a tough competitor. She carries her favorite prey, an eviscerated and bedraggled, dunked-in-the-drink mouse with a deep growl to ward off the siblings and flips it into the air as she plays with elaborate choreography. Try to take her photo and she comes in for a super close up. She looks deeply into your eyes telling you that she wants to be picked up, held, cuddled and kissed. She won’t stay too long, there are adventures to have and sunbeams to stretch out in and Squirrel TV to watch. This little girl loves her mama and must be adopted with her. Born: 5/2/2024 Background and Description: Suni’s mom, Lee “Mama Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for Sunisa and her two siblings in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, car, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had recently graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for. Story
What can I say about Clair de Lune? She’s a funky monkey. She loves as much attention as you can give her. Playful and loving, she does like to nibble fingers and toes. Just tell her no and she stops. She has her friend, Rupi, and they chase and play hockey with little balls and toy mice. And of course, must have nightly zoomies. She eats well, not too picky. Her litter box manners are impeccable. I have 2 dogs that are used to cats and she gets along with them. If you want a fun loving love bug Clair is perfect! Rupi has really come out of her shell with Clair. They are ying and yang, complimenting each other nicely. Both sleep on my bed at night. Go read about Clair de Lune and see if you can find it in your heart to adopt them together. They get along with the foster's dog.. Story
Little Mo is a resilient and strong kitten! Shortly after birth, Little Mo’s right rear paw got tangled in his brother’s umbilical cords, and circulation to his back paw was cut off. He persevered and recovered well and has a knub instead of the typical cat paw. But don’t worry-that doesn’t slow him down at all! He’s the most playful kitten from his litter and will play for hours on end. He also loves to cuddle in a soft blanket. Little Mo would do well in a loving slower paced household that could give him lots of interactive playtime. Little Mo comes from a litter of a feral cat that chose the foster family as a safe place to have her kittens.
