Story
Furling is a Siberian cat (as far as we can tell), who is also a runt. She is almost 2 1/2 yrs old and is only 7.5 lbs full-grown and she is also deaf. She seems to respond to high pitch noises, but any other sounds/voices, she is quite deaf. She is very sweet, loves to play, and to sleep on laps at times. Unfortunately, we need to rehome her pretty quickly, as we are currently searching for a new place to live. We have had Furling for 2 years, originally adopting from Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter. And although we are emotionally crushed having to rehome her, we know it’s for the best. Full disclosure, she had some UTIs in the past. We’ve had her under the Banfield Wellness plan for medical, and after the past one several months ago, we’ve fed her “Science Diet Urinary Care c/d Multicare Stress” with positive results and she hasn’t had any more issues.

Story
Sweet, affectionate and playful...Petunia is a nice balance of independent and cuddle cat. During the day she is off doing all of the kitten things: running, playing, recreating an in-house WWE style play session with her sisters/brother, finding a sunny spot to take a nap. At the end of the day, she will find a person and tuck into the crook of their legs (her favorite spot) for a snuggle sleep session. Favorite toy: Wand toy with feathers/bellsPetunia has been around dogs (large and small) and other cats.Location: Temporary foster home. For an appointment for a meet & greet, please 1) fill out an online adoption application first and 2) email: adopt@thecatcornerinc.com to request an appointment. Story
Meet Colby, the three-legged ginger with a big heart!Colby may only have three legs, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! Before coming to The Cat Corner, this handsome young boy was hit by a car, resulting in the amputation of his right front leg, but Colby has bounced back with incredible strength and spirit! He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet personality to shine through. Once he warms up, he’ll roll over your feet asking for pets and maybe give a tiny (gentle!) nibble when he’s ready for a break. He’s also a total chatter bug who loves story time with his favorite humans. Colby enjoys playing red light games, string toys, and with catnip kickers, but he’s also a laid-back guy who’s happiest lounging in a cozy chair or cat bed often with his lifelong best friend, Jack. These two have been together their whole lives and share a special bond, so they’re looking for a forever home together. Colby’s not big on wet food, but he loves his water, especially from a running fountain! If you’re looking for a loving pair of cats to fill your home with companionship, conversation, and cuddles, Colby and Jack would love to meet you!Location: Temporary foster home. Story
Hi! My name is Dallas and I am looking for a home to call my own! I am a bit of a shy guy at first, but once I warm up to you I really start to come out of my shell. I really enjoy playing and especially love springs and paper towel rolls cut up into rings- making me pretty easy to entertain! I also have a brother named Austin who I love to spend time with and often stick close too. One of my favorite times of day is dinner time, I am always the first to the bowl and make sure I get every last bite! If you are looking for an all-around good boy, or maybe two, please fill out an application today to meet me (and maybe my brother too!). *** Dallas and his brother Austin have now been with us since they were young kittens. They are been waiting to find a loving home for over a year and a half. They would love to find a home, is it with you? Please take a second look at these sweet boys. They may be shy at first but will warm up once they learn to trust you. Location: The Cat Corner (no-kill shelter)85 Fulton StreetHampton, Va. Story
Meet Fern! Fern is a soft, sweet girl with the silkiest fur and the most adorable little purr. She loves playtime, especially chasing the little red dot, batting at wand toys, and zooming through tunnels with her sister Flower. Watching these two play together is pure joy! When Fern is all tuckered out, she is happy to curl up right in your lap for some well-deserved affection and a cozy cat nap. She is gentle, loving, and the perfect mix of playful and cuddly.Fern must be adopted with her sister Flower, these two are inseparable! They are both curious, playful, and love interacting and snuggling with their humans. Springs and balls in the bathtub are a favorite activity, and they can be quite vocal when playing together. When it is time to rest, they always sleep side by side, so you will need a lap big enough for two! If you are ready to welcome double the love, double the cuddles, and double the fun, Fern and Flower are ready to bloom in their forever home!Location: The Cat Corner (no-kill shelter)85 Fulton StreetHampton, Va.
