Meet Pops, a sweet senior chihuahua boy! Pops is approximately 12-14 years old and 8 lbs. He is house broken but could use a bathroom break every few hours. Pops (aka Poppies and Popperonies) loves walking through the neighborhood, cuddling on the couch and in his crate, and eating (he would weigh more than 8 lbs if he had it his way). He gets along very well with other dogs and is learning what it means to share space with a cat. Even though Pops is a senior, he is quite spry. He has decided that all cat toys are the perfect size for him to play with and is enthusiastic about getting on short pack walks. Pops would love to find his forever home in the new year!

Meet Valerie! Referred to as Cher by her foster mom, she is an adorable tiny 8-9 pound chihuahua mix. This sweet and loving girl was aged as 6-7 by the shelter, but we think she's closer to 4 years old. Valerie was abandoned and rescued on the day she was going to be put down. The shelter said she was snappy. Poor Valerie was just terrified at the scary shelter. Naturally shy, little Valerie will need time to decompress with her new family and will let people pet her after about three or four days. Valerie should be in an adult only house since she is very timid and fearful. Once she feels trust, she will be on your lap constantly. She loves to play with other dogs, is reliably housebroken, and loves going on walks. What's not to love?

Our little guy Leo is so very sweet and loving. The perfect companion pup, happiest in your arms or your lap. Definitely a chronic cuddler! Very low maintenance. Crate trained and great on his leash. We’re still working on his potty training but he’s almost there! You’ll usually find Leo napping on something comfy or carrying a bone bigger than himself around the house. Leo does well with other dogs with proper introductions and would do best in a home with older kids; he’s a petite pup at only nine pounds and will sometimes get scared with high energy children. Although he’s only three years old, Leo seemingly never learned to play with other dogs...He tries though with his foster brother and it’s actually pretty adorable to see him learn playful behavior that he must have missed as a puppy. You really couldn’t ask for a sweeter dog or a more loyal companion.

Bentley was rescued from the overcrowded LA shelters by Home Fur Friends Rescue on the day he was set to be euthanized. He was extremely malnourished and wasn’t eating at the shelter. Upon rescuing him, we fundraised to get the proper tests done to determine why he wasn’t gaining weight. GI tests show that he was low in his pancreas enzymes so we got him started on Pancreas powder which has drastically improved his digestion and absorption of nutrients!!!! Bentley was 6lbs at the shelter and is now a healthy weight of 14 lbs. • He is 8 years young • Has the best personality! Very energetic and loves adventuring! • Can be nervous around new people and environments (like the vet or large social gatherings) • sometimes takes CBD or anxiety meds to stay calm • Meds: pancreas powder ($200 every 3 months) • Very smart and independent! • Not a big cuddler, but very loyal to his humans and four legged companions!
