Story
Bella is a 6/yo dog that has lived with me for the past 3 years. She is very shy around new people and can get a little defensive, but when she warms up to you she is extremely loving. When we first adopted her she had come from an abusive household, so she was very defensive when it comes to her food and personal space. She is very accustomed to living with children, cats, and other dogs. She likes to be both inside and outside, and loves to go on walks. We are looking for a loving person to give her a new home.

Story
My dog miss Ellie is very playful, lovable, and kind to others recently I have been going through some things where I just cannot afford her medical expenses and stuff like that if needed to be I’m normally the type of girl who wanna take a dog to the groom and all kind of stuff, but with the price is going up these days in our economy I just cannot keep her any longer and I would love to see her go with someone who can afford it and to send her to a happier home She is great with kids. She can be friendly. She does bark, but she never bites. She is a great dog. She is great with kids. She loves food. She loves to cuddle and she loves to play. She loves going out on walks. She loves going to the park. Most of all she definitely loves to eat. If there’s anything that needs to be questioned, please feel free to ask me. I don’t know how this thing works cause this is my first time doing this, but I’m trying to save her and find her a better home that is suitable for her .

NAME:Lady BugSTATS:Female, chi mix, 7 years, 11 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Playful, but not overly so.SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Leash trained.Good with dogs.Good with cats.Likes walks, but not great for hiking.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes walks.Submissive.ONE LAST THING:Lady Bug is a sweet, happy, little 11 lb girl who would love to be your couch buddy. She loves a walk around the block and will help aerate lawns by enthusiastically back-kicking after potties. Lady Bug is food motivated and smart. While she's a calm, mature gal (est. 7 years old) she happily dances at meal time and wakes up with smiles and gallops to greet each day. She's learned to go in her crate on command and responds well to gentle 'ah ah's. Lady Bug is timid around strangers - she barks and growls -but just needs a few minutes to get to know them and then is all wags. Cold morning temperatures make her shiver, so she would enjoy living somewhere hot where she could sun bathe. Not a super barky little girl; however, she feels it is her duty to let the mailman know he offends her by being in her eyesight. Lady Bug has learned to get along with the big labrador she currently lives with. At the dog park, she interacted with little dogs well and appeared to want to play. She has seen cats, but does not have much interest in them. Lady Bug has not been tested with kids but, because she is so small, gentle children over 10 would be bestLady Bug came to us as a stray and it's evident from her behavior of needing to be close to her person, she would benefit from confidence building. If you're ready for a small, loyal companion to fill your heart with love, this little pup might just be the one for you!May 25, 2025, 2:41 pm

Story
Meet Nadia Beetlejuice! Nadia is a 10 yr old, 8 lb unaltered Chihuahua Mix that came to us from Visalia ASD. She has been fully vaccinated, microchipped and is parasite free. After further examination by our vet and reviewing her lab work she determined Nadia has diabetes as well as multiple mammary masses and horrible teeth. Our first step is to get her diabetes under control. Nadia has been responding as well as expected with insulin injections twice a day. It's not ideal but it's vital to her well being. We have seen quite an improvement in her glucose levels in the month she has been on insulin. WIN WIN!! Our vet will continue to monitor her until she's stable enough to take the next step to getting her back to health. She is available for foster to adopt with the inclination that she remain on insulin for the rest of her life.  This is what her foster family has said about her. Nadia the sweetest senior gal you could ever meet. She knows how to use the doggy door but sometimes she still has accidents. She's getting better at it but she doesn't know how to tell us she needs to go out. She thinks Just Food For Dogs is the BESTEST food on the planet. If you know who the producer is, she is all for shooting a commercial. All she wants is paid in dog food and treats.  Nadia loves her person and would rather chill out watching soap operas than anything else. She loves going on short walks but doesn't want it to become a habit, lol. A home with seniors is preferred or adult children that know how to be around older dogs. She likes other dogs and tries to sneak their toys away from them.  If you would like to bring Nadia into your home and give her extra love and attention you can fill out the application using the link provided. www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php.   We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 7, 2025, 12:09 am

Story
BUTTERNUT SQUASH is a sweet 8 year old, 9 lb, Chihuahua Mix who comes to us from Visalia ASD. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and has been treated for parasites. Butternut doesn't really care for other dogs and she hasn't been tested with cats. She'd prefer to be the only pet in the home. She would be a perfect companion for an older person who isn't too active and prefers to stay home most the time. We recommend she be around older children who know and understand shy dogs.  This is what her foster family said about her.   Meet Butternut, a sweet and gentle soul who just needs a little time to warm up! This shy girl is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can blossom at her own pace. While she may initially seem reserved, Butternut is incredibly loyal and loving once she feels secure. She thrives in a quiet environment with plenty of space to relax and would do best with a calm, experienced dog owner who can provide her with the gentle guidance she needs to build confidence. Butternut loves leisurely walks and quiet cuddle sessions once she feels comfortable. She is housebroken and loves lounging on her bed. If you are looking to give a deserving dog a loving forever home, Butternut could be the perfect match for you! As you can see from her foster family, she's sweet and deserving of her forever family. Could that be you? If you'd like to adopt Butternut you can submit an application using the link provided at the end of this introduction.  www.beourpet@gmail.com/adoptions.php  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets. You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 6, 2025, 9:57 pm
