Haven't seen around cats or kids ( but would guess little kids would not be a good match) This animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered or will go home with an already scheduled appointment. Meet Buzzard (aka Buzzy)! This almost 1-year-old, 13-pound chihuahua mix is a sweet but cautious little guy. Buzzy came from a hoarding situation, so he takes his time to warm up to new people and environments. Once he feels comfortable, though, he’s all about giving kisses! Buzzy loves other dogs, no matter their size. His current cuddle buddy is an 80-pound dog! A home with a friendly dog companion and a secure fenced yard would be the perfect match for him. He’s making great progress with housebreaking and is crate-trained, but he still has some puppy behaviors, like chewing on shoes and paper, so he'll need an adopter who is patient and ready to help him continue learning. Buzzy hasn't met kids or cats, and because he’s unsure about loud noises and fast movements, a home with older children or no children is best. I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me.
