My name is Sookie! I am 1 year old and I weigh approximately 9 lbs. I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was turned into the local County Animal Shelter but I'm not sure why. I'm such a sweet, loving little guy! I love being with people, especially my foster dad! I follow my fosters around the house and when it's time to go to bed I can easily jump up into there high-rise bed and cuddle up next to my foster dad. I ride okay in the car. My last few car rides have not been very pleasant as they took me out of my previous home. I have a medium energy level and I love to play with the other dogs. I get along well with other dogs, 5 lb to 100 lbs., all ages. I don't know about cats because the rescue doesn't have any. I would be good with kids, but I will not be adopted into a home with young children because I'm so small. I walk on a leash and I am not yappy. In fact for a chihuahua, I'm pretty quiet. My foster family says that I'm very smart! I have a very sweet temperament and have never shown any signs of aggression to any other dog or to a person. This is popcorn, His breed is a a pom chi Popcorn came from a puppy mill. The wonderful thing about it is is he still a puppy, The puppy mill that gave him and others to us, apparently are only going to deal with a couple breeds now. Whatever that means We deal with quite a few of different puppy mills but the nice thing about it is he has a puppy. Popcorn is so so poppy has a wonderful, wonderful attitude and he just loves to be loved. He's so full of joy and happiness such a little ball of joy. The picture makes him look much bigger than he really is. He's probably about 7:lb is 3 months old and he's actually a. This is Max! I met Max for the first time when I was 12 years old, and I’ll be 30 this year. Max is an elderly doggo I ended up adopting out of necessity; he was in an abusive household with a family member, always locked in a basement, never fed or groomed. It took years to rehab him to the old man he is now, normally spry and always starved for attention, about 7 years ago. He’s an applehead purebred and a true lapdog. Max is outside and inside trained, though we use grass for the inside. My partner and I have just moved into a new place that’s $500 more expensive than our old place, and for us, money is tight. Max needs to have an owner that can take him to the vet as often as an elderly dog who’s undergone some neglect and abuse would need to go, and we’ve never been in that position. He’s an anxious boy because of his past, but once he warms up to you, he’ll become your shadow. He goes up and down stairs fine, though sometimes he gets tired. He loves sitting in sunlight.
