This duo would thrive in a home with someone who has plenty of time to spend with them, as they appreciate companionship and calm environments. Both are house-trained and crate-trained, responding well to their routine, though they might need a little extra attention during poor weather conditions (very cold weather or strong storms) to avoid accidents. They can be shy around new people and other dogs, a trait that comes from their cautious nature. June Bug is in good health, maintaining her wellness with regular dental care and check-ups. She enjoys her walks, the simple pleasures of belly rubs, and the occasional squirrel chase. Introducing Milo, a 10-year-old Rat Terrier with a heart full of love, seeking a home alongside his best friend, June Bug. This devoted duo is perfect for an adult-only household where they can enjoy the company and attention they cherish (no other pets is ideal). Milo and June Bug are house-trained and crate-trained, comfortable with their routines but may need have accidents during extreme weather. While initially shy around new people and dogs, their cautious behavior stems from a place of fear, and a gentle, patient approach will allow their true, affectionate nature to shine through. Milo is in overall good health. Keeping up with regular dental cleanings is important for him. He's protective and deeply affectionate, often sticking close like a true 'Velcro dog.' This is GIGI. She turned 2 in July. Gigi is very smart, and well behaved. Her favorite places are the dog park and a human’s lap. She’s afraid of most people until she gets to know them. She is trained to use training pads but prefers to go outside. Gigi is very bonded to her brother Rocco. I would prefer not to separate them if possible. If they can’t be adopted together, I would feel better if she were in a home with another dog. Please see Rocco’s profile. They are both well behaved loyal dogs that need a home with a back yard. They have not been around cats or small children but Gigi does bark at children when we go to the dog park. I am not requiring a rehoming fee. I just want them to go to a loving home.

Calling all little dog lovers! Meet Cricket. Cricket is a 9 year old female chihuahua with wispy hair with that weighs 10 pounds. Cricket came to the shelter after her owner suffered serious health issues. Cricket has only lived with adults so we are seeking an adult-only household or a home with older teen children. Cricket has lived with other small similar sized dogs with no issues. As always, a meet and greet with resident canines is required to make sure everyone gets along. Cricket is a very friendly chihuahua mix that comes up to you. She is very affectionate and prances on walks. Cricket enjoys quiet time, play time, and car rides. Cricket has a medium energy level and would love to join your pack. Cricket is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes vetting which includes spay, vaccines, heartworm testing and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Cricket. Cricket's adoption fee is $85.
