Poncho is currently living the good life in a foster home, where he's perfecting his royal wave and learning that humans make excellent subjects. He's got what we call "little man syndrome"-he might be small, but he thinks he's the boss of everyone and everything. Don't let his attitude fool you, though. Poncho is a loyal little dude who bonds hard and fast with people who understand the art of patience. Give him some time, and he'll be your shadow, your protector, and your snuggle buddy all rolled into one. Poncho has a few quirks that make him even more lovable. He tends to prefer the company of women over men, probably because he knows ladies appreciate his royal charm. However, given time to warm up, he will eventually warm up to a man. He also loves to hide under blankets-his little fortress of solitude. Give him a bone or a squeaky toy, and you'll see him in his element, gleefully entertaining himself. And once you've earned his trust, get ready for a barrage of kisses! Poncho needs a child-free castle (unless the kids are older and know how to respect his tiny but mighty boundaries). Banjo comes up readily and sometimes, with an expectant ‘pick me up’ look 😊 He melts into your arms and chest, his head in the curve of your neck 😊 He loves cuddles and affection. Sometimes, Banjo thinks he is a bird. And when he thinks he is a bird, he acts like a bird, He perches on your shoulder. I think he likes the change of scenery 😊😊😊 Banjo plays well with dogs his size or a little bigger. He has not been in the company of big dogs but based on his personality, we think he will do just fine 😊 He takes treats very nicely. Banjo is about 2.5 years old, 13lb Chihuahua mix. My name is Biscuit. According to the veterinarian, I am one year old and I weigh 18 lbs. I'm a stocky little fellow, a little on the chunky side. I am neutered, up today on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative . I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Because my owners are gone so long during the day, I am puppy pad trained. I will potty outside though if taken out. I am good with other dogs and children. I have been around toddlers and infants. I'm not sure about cats because the rescue does not have any. I will bark at a cat if I see one, but will stop barking after a few minutes. I love to play fetch and will bring back to you whatever you throw. I also love belly rubs and will roll over on command for one. I come when I'm called and I know how to sit. I will also walk on my hind legs for a treat. I walked on a leash for the first time for my video. As you can see, I did pretty good. I am very smart and I learn quickly. I love to be with people! I will follow my owner around the house and will snuggle up in the chair with him in the evening. I am very curious and attentive as to what my people are doing. I have I submissive temperament and a happy personality! I am well behaved in the house. I don't try to get in the trash or chew anything up. I have a medium energy level. I have a second video on the rescue website. My name is Chichi! I was born 11/1. I currently weigh 6 pounds.(2/16). I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina, but easy, affordable transportation is available. I am a fun loving, happy little girl! I love to play with toys, other dogs, or anything that I can find on the floor or ground. The rescue is not sure how I am with cats because they don’t have any. I may bark at one, but I’m certainly not big enough to hurt one though. I love to be with people and will follow my foster all over the house. One of my favorite things to do is take long naps snuggled up in her lap. My foster is in a wheelchair and I have learned to stay clear of it. My ears are just starting to stand up. They were not standing up in my pictures/videos yet. Those were taken mid February. I am a pretty energetic little girl, so I will need lots of toys to keep me busy. I would love to have a little playmate even more! I will bring lots of entertainment. and lots of love to my new family. I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home!
