I acquired Chance through a good friend through a fellowship that I'm apart of. Chance is really a good boy, he really likes to be loved and likes to play. Chance needs a companion that can give him the love and attention he needs to be able to thrive and grow. He really is Smart and is capable of doing more than I have time to train and teach him to be. I have started him in training classes at PetSmart so I know he is capable of learning and developing the skills needed to be a good dog. My problem is I live with my sister who has her own dogs set in their ways. Chance requires a more hands on approach and being that I work all the time and I don't have my own space to work with him the way he needs. He really just needs someone who can give him the extra love, care and attention that I can't provide him at this time in my life. Chance is loving and has never bit anyone or any other animals.

Story
Elmer is that old grizzled regular at the local bar who seemed hateful, but always had a quarter for a kid to win a prize from the claw machine. Life has made him quick to defend himself so you have to be willing to approach a relationship slowly, once he realizes you have lived life and faced challenges, you two will be trading war stories over a soft blanky in no time. An 8-pound chihuahua mix, we believe him to be approximately 8 years young with a zest for life. Even though he has been said to not like all men, the men he's met so far he's been okay with. He did better while taking pictures with Santa, than most children. Elmer gets nervous in new environments, we think a home with a battle buddy would be beneficial. Another doggo to help show him the ropes and understand he's safe. Elmer gets along fine with all dogs, big and small in his foster home. Although he is friendly, proper decompression time will be a key to his success. Elmer is reluctant to get in his crate, once he is in it, he will bark and grumble for a short time but will eventually settle down. When he is let out of his crate, he will jump up while walking to the door to go outside to do his business. Elmer shows his affection by covering you in kisses and being super snuggly with his cuddles. He's a dog that doesn't know how to hold his licker... so be prepared for lots of PDA (Elmer's teeth look really good for his age, very little tarter and "decent" breath!)  He is definitely a dog that needs time to adjust to change, but once you are in you are totally in, and when he loves you, he loves you with all his heart. His adoption fee is $210. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, Heartworm negative, and he is microchipped. If you would like to meet this cute little guy and possibly add him to your family, please complete an application today. Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
