Hi, I’m Olive, and I’d love to meet you! I’m a seven-year-old, eight-pound female chihuahua, fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm medication. I’m a shy, sweet girl looking for a new forever family. My previous family gave me up because I wasn’t getting along with the toddlers in my home. I was sad to leave them but adjusted well to my new foster family, including the four other chihuahuas! I’m becoming more confident and learning how much fun it is to play with another dog. I love to be petted and to cuddle with my favorite human! My foster mom says I need to work on my separation anxiety, although I never express it in a destructive way. I’m good about doing my business outside if kept on a regular schedule. Speaking of outside, I love to go on walks, but I do get anxious around other dogs. I bark and try to chase them, but I’m working on the problem! If you want a dog to cuddle with you, stay close to your side, and join you for a long walk or a leisurely stroll, I’m your girl! Bonjour! If you’ve always wanted to see Paris but don’t care for a long trip, you’re in luck! I’m Paris, a 9 pound, 11 year-old female chihuahua, fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative. I may not be fluent in French, but I definitely speak the language of love and am looking to give lessons to a lucky human! I’m a friendly, easygoing girl who loves to cuddle more than anything. I will curl up in a ball and lie next to you for hours, although my favorite thing is to be held in your lap. I get along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats. I am also a lover of fine cuisine…or any cuisine, to be honest! I put on a show every time I get pets, I'm nimble on my feet and prance around in happiness! I’m obviously a classic beauty, but, as a woman of a certain age, I confess my hearing and vision aren’t what they used to be. I can still see to recognize my foster mom, but I am almost deaf. I’m also working to overcome a traumatic experience: my previous owner was too ill to take care of me and I was trapped in a crate for five days with no food or water. Because of this experience, I struggled originally to understand going potty outside but I've got it now! In spite of everything I've been through, I'm a brave and smart little lady! I've quickly learned to navigate my foster moms home, even the stairs to get on the couch or in bed at night. I'm a star at finding hidden treats, and easily follow my foster mom around the house or quickly find her if she's out of sight! I've gotten down that when the lights get turned on in the morning, its time to go outside for potty, and I totally let my foster mom put a diaper on me for the day when needed!  You’re never too old to learn a new language or to fall in love…so why not fall in love with a little dog who needs you? Hi, I’m Pepper! I’m a sweet and sassy nine-year-old female chihuahua, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully vetted. I may be only five pounds, but I’ve got a big personality and an even bigger heart! Are you ready for a little dog to add some spice to your life? I think I’m the one to do it! My name may be Pepper, but I can be a little salty if I’m confronted with strangers, especially if I think they’re trying to get to my special person. I bark at strangers and at other dogs I meet on my walks. I have a high-pitched bark, but I don’t use it all the time, mostly just when I’m frightened or when I’m excited that my human has come home. If a stranger comes too close and I feel scared, I bare my teeth and threaten to bite. Yes, I tend to overreact, but I don’t take long to bond with my human. When I met my foster mom, I was frightened and reactive, but I bonded with her in just a couple of days! Now that I know my foster mom, I have become her little shadow, following her all around and insisting I sleep in her bed. I love cuddles and kisses–I’m glad she does too! My time with her is helping me be less afraid of others; I think I just need time to feel secure and comfortable. My foster mom says I’m smart, food-motivated, and easy to train: I already know sit, down, and paw, and I can’t wait to learn more! I’m looking for a forever home where I can be the sole queen of the house, as I really don’t like to share my human with other dogs or kids. I’ll also need a fenced yard too since I’m not a fan of going on walks. I’ll probably be scared when we first meet, but I promise I’ll be your devoted best friend in no time! Hi, I’m Ralphie, and I’m ready for a new adventure, hopefully with you! I’m a five-year-old, six-pound male chihuahua, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I’m currently with my foster family as I get treatment for some hind leg trouble. Once that’s all cleared up, I’ll be available for adoption! I was picked up as a stray in Illinois and Chihuahua Rescue and Transport sprung me from animal control–my lucky day! My unstable past has given me some anxiety though: I get nervous around strangers and I hate being separated from my people, although I’m never destructive. I also have a little trouble with exposing my private parts and will need help to keep them healthy. Although I have trouble with strangers, once I get to know them, I love my humans completely! I especially enjoy snuggling with them and having them throw my toy ducky so I can show off my fetching skills. I get along with other small dogs too, as long as they’re calm. My foster mom is proud of my housetraining work–she says I’m almost there! I’ll need an experienced adopter who can help me with my stranger anxiety and who can stay home with me most of the time.
