Story
Santana is just the most adorable and perfect sized little guy. He was rescued out of Oklahoma where his owner had serious medical issues and could not longer care for him. - Approximately 1-2 years old, 18lbs and possibly a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. - Good with other dogs and gentle children. Fostered with 4 year old child and does really well with him. - Introduced to a cat and barked and seemed interested in chasing. Recommend a home with no cats. - Loves kids and is fostered with a 5 year old little boy. Santana loves to follow the child around and hang out with him and cuddle. He could be a good little friend to a gentle kiddo. - A little reserved at first, but attentive and loving if you give him just a little warm up time. He loves treats and will readily come up to new people to take a treat. - LOVES toys and playing fetch! - Energetic and will keep up with you on all your adventures - Crate trained and will go in his crate on his own to sleep at night. - Has been really good with his potty habits so far - Good on car rides - Walks well on leash, no reactivity seen so far Santana is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and his adoption fee includes his upcoming neuter surgery. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in Portland, Oregon Apply to adopt Santana on our website: www.agavedogs.org

Story
Fanny is an adorable little girl pup with a patch over her eye from our "Western Litter." Her mom, Cowgirl, was found as a pregnant stray and rescued out of California and had her puppies in a foster home. Here's a little about Fanny: - Can go home with her new family on May 5th and be visited in her foster home in the meantime. - Date of birth is 3/7/24 and she currently weighs 2lbs at 6 weeks old. Her mom is 19.8lbs full of milk still. - We are not entirely sure of breed mix because we only have mom dog to reference. She appears to be part Jack Russell Terrier maybe some Chihuahua if we were guessing. - Momma dog is a low rider with a long body, short legs, giant adorable years and a scruffy coat. Mom dog is laid back and very sweet and affectionate. She has been a wonderful momma and never gotten snippy with her puppies. She is very patient and nurturing. We are not sure what dad dog is but expect these puppies to mature to under 25lbs and be small breed adults. We are looking for patient, committed puppy adopters who realize taking on a very young puppy requires a lot of time, effort and training. Puppies are working on potty training in foster and getting excellent socialization with other gentle small breed dogs and exposure to a backyard with green grass and lots of things to sniff and play in. Adoption fee includes spay surgery at our partner vet clinic in SW Portland in August, microchip, first vaccine, multiple rounds of dewormer and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $450 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Chance is a chihuahua mix. So we think. He is fixed, shots are up to date & loves his brother greyson(cat) I got both from a fb listing when they were just babies. So they grew up together. They have the same birthday month (August) got chance in 2019. So he is about 5 years old. August 30th is his bday. He has the chihuahua shivers when he doesn’t want to do something like take a bath etc. he is very needy always next to my side when I sit on the couch. He loves FOOD mostly canned dog food. I am looking for someone who can take care of him and give him a lot of love and attention. Hopefully someone who will also take his brother Greyson as they are better together! Chance is a very loving animal and he would love the attention anyone could ever give him. Oh and he loves walks & the beach sand! He gets the zoomies when he’s outside. Gets excited with squirrels.

Story
We adopted Jax from a family friend about 5 years ago. He is 7 years old. We no longer have the time for him. He would make the perfect dog for an elderly couple or single elderly person. He absolutely loves snuggles and would love to be pet and held all day long if he could. He is a laid back dog. He does bark when he gets excited when we come home.
