Story
Tansy is such a kind little dog with a soft temperament. We rescued her out of a home in California with 9 other dogs living in squalor. Sadly the owner was elderly and suffered with dementia and could no longer care for the dogs or himself. Tansy is a delightful little dog who is so grateful to be out of the situation and into a clean, cozy foster home with us. - 20 pounds and approximately 2 years old - Does good with other dogs and is the more submissive type. She has just started to play with her Chihuahua foster brother and she has a really cute, light play style. - We have not tested her with cats but we are trying to arrange that - We have not seen her with children yet but think kids ages 10+ years old would be fine. - Very affectionate, devoted, sweet little dog. Loves to snuggle in bed with her foster mom and sleeps through the night perfectly. - No potty accidents while in foster - Really enjoys her walks and is happy and excited for a neighborhood stroll. We have not seen any leash reactivity while on walks. - Lower to medium energy. Could be content with a daily walk and being with her person. Tansy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $400 adoption fee Fostered in SE Portland, Oregon COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR TANSY ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Meet the dynamic duo Count and Stellaluna!Count and Stellaluna are a bonded pair of Chug mixes looking for a home where they can stay together. These two have a special connection and rely on each other for comfort, companionship, and confidence.Count is estimated to be around 10 years old and is the sweet, easygoing gentleman of the pair. He loves being carried around, soaking up attention, and curling up for snuggles with his favorite people. His affectionate nature makes him an instant favorite with everyone he meets.Stellaluna estimated to be around 5 years old and is a sassy little lady with a big personality. While she can be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people, Count helps her feel safe and secure when she's feeling uncertain. Because she can become frightened when unfamiliar people try to handle or manipulate her body, she may nip if she feels uncomfortable. She will thrive with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and are willing to let her adjust at her own pace.Together, Count and Stellaluna make a wonderful pair. They enjoy cozy naps, spending time with their people, and providing each other with reassurance and companionship. Their bond is truly heartwarming, and they are happiest when they are together.Count and Stellaluna are searching for a calm, understanding home that will cherish them both and give them the love and security they deserve. Story
Peanut may be tiny, but don’t let his size fool you—this little Chiweenie mix has a BIG personality. At around five months old, Peanut is a playful, goofy, tail-wagging machine who is fully committed to living life as one big adventure. Peanut is the kind of puppy who turns everything into a game. Got a toy? It’s his favorite. Got another toy? Also his favorite. Got a sock? Well… that might be his most favorite. He loves to bounce around, play tug, and zoom in happy little circles like he just discovered joy for the first time (every single time). His playful energy is contagious, and it’s nearly impossible not to smile when he’s around. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/VaHXt10YCaA?si=iZMbNbyHGGT8bm_d He’s also wonderfully social and loves being part of the action. Whether you’re playing, moving around the house, or just existing nearby, Peanut wants to be involved. He’s curious, silly, and full of that classic puppy mischief that keeps life interesting. Because Peanut is still a baby, he’ll need a family ready to commit to all the important puppy basics—potty training, structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. He’s not going to come pre-programmed, but that’s part of the magic. Watching him learn and grow will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Peanut is looking for a home that will embrace his playful spirit, guide him with love, and give him plenty of time and attention. In return, he’ll bring nonstop laughter, endless affection, and a lifetime of loyalty packed into one tiny, wiggly little pup. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69b486679f183a9ac005b9e2 Questions? Story
Warning: Side effects of reading this bio may include sudden squealing, an overwhelming urge to buy tiny sweaters, and falling hopelessly in love. Meet Margherita! A teeny tiny black Chihuahua princess who currently weighs about 2 pounds of pure adorableness and is working hard on mastering the important puppy skills of snuggling, napping, and stealing hearts. At just 4 weeks old, Margherita is the smallest of her four siblings, but don’t let her tiny size fool you. This little lady is quietly finding her courage and growing more confident every day. She has a sweet, gentle nature and prefers to take in the world at her own pace before deciding you’re worthy of her affection. Like any respectable Chihuahua, Margherita has already perfected the signature Chihuahua tremble. Is she cold? Excited? Deeply contemplating life’s mysteries? The world may never know. When she’s not busy being impossibly cute, Margherita loves to snuggle up close and soak in all the love she can get. Her mama is estimated to be around 12 pounds, so we expect Margherita to stay delightfully petite as she grows. Because she is still a very young puppy, her future family should be ready for all the joys and challenges that come with puppyhood. Puppies require patience, love, consistency, and training as they learn house manners, confidence, routines, and all the skills needed to become wonderful adult dogs. The time you invest now will help Margherita blossom into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. Tiny? Absolutely. Sweet? Without question. Ready to steal your heart? She’s already halfway there. If you’re looking for a pocket-sized best friend with a gentle spirit, endless cuddle potential, and a future full of love, Margherita may be your perfect match. *Insert adoption link Questions?
