Story
Api is a sweet, timid boy in need of a forever home. His favorite activities include cuddles, rolling around, making little piggy noises, and nesting into comfy spots: laps, beds, blankets, or anywhere he finds comfortable. Api is curious when meeting new people and will take a little time to warm up to you but eventually all he will want is your love and affection! Api gets itchy due to unknown allergies. His previous owners eliminated chicken from his diet and used over-the-counter medications. He also has shampoo that helps him feel good and begging for belly rubs. Api gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and is learning to share common places with cats. Overall his energy levels are pretty low if your household is relaxed, but will bark along with other dogs nearby or at unfamiliar noises.Api has had a lot of recent changes in his life. New things can be scary for him, but with some guidance and patience he’s a quick learner

Story
Slim is a 12 month old, 6 pound Chihuahua mix, with a charming, irrepressible personality. Slim loves to play with all toys, especially balls but will make do with any scrap lying around. She`s good on a leash and enjoys smelling the outdoors when walking. She gets along with my two dogs and my cat even though they do not want to play with her. Slim has learned to use potty pads when she needs to go and does not connect going outside as an opportunity to pee. She would do well in an apartment with a person around most of the day. Another young dog in the family would be ideal. Since she is so small, a gentle, older child should work well. Slim does have a bit of a leg issue, she had a broken leg that was not set and it healed itself and to try to fix it now would cause more problems. Right now she may hold up her leg when she gets tired but it hasn`t slowed her down one bit. She runs like the wind when given a chance. If Slim appeals to you, fill out an application on OFOSA.org. A foster will get back with you in 24 to 48 hours and set up a meet and greet. Slim has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and her fee will be $340 after she is one year old.

Story
Meet Fiona Apple (or FiFi for short), an adorable 8 pound chihuahua. This little girl is incredibly friendly and thrives on companionship. She’s happiest when she’s close to her people and would do best in a home where she can receive plenty of love, attention, and affection. She loves car rides and daily walks, making her a perfect companion for someone who enjoys getting out and about. While she enjoys being active, she also appreciates cozy downtime with her favorite humans. She is good with children, but because of her small size, she would do best in a home where kids understand how to interact gently and respectfully with a small dog. She does bark at times, which is typical for her breed, and she may benefit from continued guidance in this area. She is currently working on potty training and is doing well when kept on a consistent routine. She is crate trained and can be left during the day, provided she gets plenty of enrichment, exercise, and attention when you return home. If you`re looking for a small, loyal companion who will shower you with love and be your little shadow, she may be the perfect fit for your family! To meet her fill out the Dog Adoption Application on our website - OFOSA.ORG and her foster mom will be in touch. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and her adoption fee is $340.

Story
*Now fostered in Lake Stevens, WA* This cutie is Idaho. He is currently 8 months old and we think they may be a chihuahua mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Idaho’s playful personality here: https://youtu.be/nAT2SCRJED0?si=4QXyU1YpWLrDRBCb Idaho is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Idaho is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Cotton Candy! Cotton Candy is a 3-month-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix puppy weighing approximately 4.8 pounds. If you’re looking for a puppy who approaches life with excitement and enthusiasm, look no further than this tiny adventurer. With her adorable black-and-white spotted markings, bright eyes, and endless curiosity, Cotton Candy is always ready for whatever fun comes next. She is usually the first puppy to explore something new, whether it’s a new room, a new toy, or a new corner of the backyard. This little girl is full of personality. She loves zooming around the yard, racing from one end to the other, and hiding around corners before pouncing on her unsuspecting siblings. She’s playful, confident, and always looking for her next adventure. Watch Cotton Candy in action in her video! https://youtu.be/z-FK4g13nCI?si=_8r-0p-U5bbzOy6W Despite all that energy, Cotton Candy has a wonderfully sweet side. She may start out wiggly when you pick her up, but the moment the belly rubs begin, she completely melts. She loves cuddles, loves attention, and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’d like to be held. Cotton Candy also isn’t afraid to share her opinions. She’ll happily remind you when it’s time for dinner or when she thinks you should be paying attention to her. She’s currently working on potty training and sleeps in a kennel with her littermates, waking once during the night for a potty break before heading right back to sleep. If you’re looking for a puppy who will keep you laughing, exploring, and cuddling, Cotton Candy might be your perfect match. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a064230e1307626a70eb7f2 Questions?
