Story
Introducing Tater TotTater is ready for his forever home! He’s only been in foster for a few weeks and in that time has melted the hearts of many- especially children. He LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. I’m his foster person and i can honestly say, I’ve never had a foster pup be this in love with little ones. He slept in our 12 year olds room from the first night. He is happiest when we have game nights and a dozen kids from 5-13 come over and play with him. Tater fetches, plays tug-o-war, and loves going for walks. His ideal home has a fenced yard to play in, family who likes to walk him, and dog friendly children to love. He is springy and energetic, making him a better fit for slightly older children. 5+ years old would be ideal.Tater is only 2 so he’s got puppy energy and loves to play. He learns quickly and is always enthusiastic. Tater is potty trained and is learning new words like “inside, outside, and potty,” among others. He still has a habit of alert barking inside so a home where he won’t be bothering neighbors is important. Some confident training will help curb this habit.Tater is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and ready to melt more hearts! His adoption fee is $340. To meet Tater Tot, go to our website - OFOSA.ORG and fill out the Dog Adoption Application and his foster mom will be in touch.

Story
Meet adoptable Rhett! At just two months old and around four pounds, this itty-bitty sweetheart is believed to be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. With his adorable floppy ears, curly little tail, and bright, curious eyes, Rhett is the kind of puppy who makes everyone smile the moment they meet him. Rhett is growing up in a loving foster home alongside other dogs and young children, and he’s thriving. He’s wonderful with his little human friends, happily soaking up all the cuddles, being carried around, and patiently accepting every bit of love they have to give. His gentle, tolerant nature makes him an excellent candidate for a family looking for a puppy who truly enjoys being part of the action. Watch Rhett’s video here! https://youtu.be/8C663RhiO84?si=vdY6tKGtu_nGPzUO Like any happy puppy, Rhett is full of personality! He loves to play with his dog buddies, often starting silly little wrestling matches or playfully batting at them with his tiny paws. When playtime is over, his favorite place in the world is right in your lap, where he’ll happily curl up for a cuddle. One of Rhett’s cutest quirks? He loves hanging out by the pool with his foster mom. He’s even happy to hop onto a float with her and relax, making us think he just might become a little water-loving adventurer as he grows. For now, he’s mostly curious about the water—but he’s taking it one tiny paw at a time. If you’re looking for a playful little shadow with a huge heart packed into a four-pound body, Rhett is ready to bring endless joy, laughter, and snuggles to his forever family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a4fcaf020352d9a270874ba Questions? Story
Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story! Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 3 months old. We believe this little one may be a Chihuahua/Lab mix, but as with many rescue puppies, her exact breed blend is a mystery. What we do know is that she is absolutely adorable and deserving of a loving home. Watch Trixie in action! With her warm cinnamon-colored coat, sweet dark muzzle, tiny puppy paws, and soulful eyes, Trixie looks like a little caramel latte with legs. She’s the kind of puppy that makes people immediately stop scrolling and say, “Oh my goodness, look at that face!” Trixie is currently growing up in a wonderful foster home surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages. Because of this, she’s getting an amazing start in life and learning that the world is a safe and exciting place full of friends, cuddles, and adventures. If every litter has that one puppy with an old soul, it’s Trixie. While she absolutely enjoys chasing toys, playing with her siblings, and joining in on puppy fun, she has a wonderfully calm, gentle nature that makes her stand out. She doesn’t always have to be the center of the action—she’s just as happy soaking up affection and quietly enjoying the company of her people. One of the sweetest things about Trixie is how much she adores children. During a recent visit with a young girl, Trixie made her choice almost immediately. She happily snuggled close, soaked up every bit of attention, and quickly became the little girl’s favorite puppy in the entire litter. It was easy to see why. Trixie has a soft, patient, affectionate personality that makes her feel like a tiny best friend from the moment you meet her. She loves carrying toys around, enjoys playful moments with her siblings, and has all the curiosity you’d expect from a growing puppy. But when playtime is over, she’s more than ready to curl up beside you for cuddles. Her balance of playful puppy energy and easygoing sweetness makes her a truly special little girl. Like all young puppies, Trixie will need a family committed to training, socialization, patience, and consistency. The experiences she has now will help shape her into a happy, confident adult dog. We require adopters to begin crate training right away to help establish routine, support potty training, and build healthy habits from the very beginning. Puppies like Trixie are among the most vulnerable animals in rescue. By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing her life forever, but also helping create space for another puppy who desperately needs a second chance. If you’ve been dreaming of a puppy who’s as gentle as she is adorable, who lights up around children, loves her toys, and would rather snuggle beside you than be anywhere else, Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story may just be the perfect addition to your family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a207968eae0297e110aa7d1 Questions? Story
Shelly Loo has the confidence of a dog three times her size and absolutely none of the hesitation. She marches into new situations like she's been invited, assumes everyone is delighted to see her, and immediately starts looking for something fun to do. Usually that something involves toys. Estimated to be around 4 years old, weighing 20 pounds, and looking very much like a Chihuahua mix, but of course- Shelly Loo is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. Guaranteed is that she is a confident, entertaining little character with a playful streak, plenty of personality, and a serious appreciation for attention from her people. Go watch Shelly Loo Who on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this spunky little lady. https://youtu.be/wmOb1RpNHDc Shelly Loo loves people and has a knack for making herself part of whatever is happening. She handles busy enviornments with ease, happily soaks up attention from everyone she meets and all around makes a great companion whether at home or out in the world. She is also a true toy enthusiast, and can happily entertain herself with a toy to chase, toss, or proudly carry around. While Shelly enjoys meeting other dogs, she's not exactly looking for a committee to run her life. She's a confident girl who prefers thoughtful introductions and tends to do best with larger, confident dogs that won't be bothered by her bossy moments. She's not looking to be the welcome crew of the dog park. Think more "neighborhood mayor" than "life of the party." Shelly would love a home that can keep her active with daily walks, toys, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with her people. She is a blast with kids and from everything we have seen she has all the makings of a fun little companion for a family that appreciates a dog with personality. Shelly Loo’s one no-need is cats. When she met our house cat it was clear that she would thoroughly enjoy chasing a cat- something we can all agree cats hate! So for everyones sake, a cat-free home is best for her. If you're looking for a small dog with confidence, charm, and enough character to keep life interesting, Shelly Loo is ready to march straight into your heart. Story
Dalton Daymaker is the little black puppy with the biggest puppy heart! Estimated to be around one month old, Dalton is already showing off a personality that is impossible not to adore. He is probably the most playful of his siblings and is always ready to turn just about anything into a puppy game. With his sleek black coat, tiny floppy ears, round puppy face, bright curious eyes, and little button nose, Dalton is absolutely precious. He has that classic baby-puppy look where his ears are just a little too big, his paws are just a little too tiny, and his eyes somehow manage to look like they are asking you to pick him up every five seconds. Watch Dalton in action in this video! https://youtu.be/zw2LmqVqROQ Dalton LOVES his toys and is always excited when playtime begins. He loves exploring, playing with his siblings, and discovering what fun thing is happening next. He has the happy, curious personality that makes puppyhood so much fun to watch. He is the type of little guy who wants to be in the middle of whatever everyone else is doing. But underneath all that playful energy is a total sweetheart. Dalton loves his people just as much as he loves his toys and is always happy to get some cuddles and affection. He seems especially happy simply being near his humans, following along and soaking up all the attention. Dalton is being raised in a loving foster home alongside his siblings, where he is getting lots of positive experiences, puppy socialization, playtime, and love. He is healthy, gentle, and off to a wonderful start. Dalton is the perfect combination of playful puppy and little lovebug. He'll keep you entertained with his puppy antics, melt you with those sweet eyes, and then curl up for some cuddles when he's finally worn himself out. This little black puppy may be tiny right now, but Dalton Daymaker already has a personality big enough to fill your whole heart. Ready to welcome Dalton home? Story
If there was ever a puppy who could convince you that life is simply better when you're wearing a cute outfit, carrying around a toy, and ending the day snuggled up on the couch, it's Dolly Hazel. This little fashionista is almost always sporting an adorable outfit, proudly showing off her signature ears that stand straight up until she starts running, when they bounce and flop with every step. Between her sweet personality, love for cuddles, and undeniable cuteness, Dolly has mastered the art of stealing hearts without even trying. Watch her video and fall in love: https://youtu.be/2VdmkUut99Q?si=EX9FEi5K18wgoKHJ At approximately 3 months old and currently 15 pounds, Dolly is our best guess at a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but with animal rescue, it's always a mystery! Whatever breeds came together to create this adorable little girl, they gave her the cutest ears, an affectionate personality, and just the right amount of playful puppy energy. Dolly has fully embraced everything there is to love about being a puppy. She bounces from toy to toy with endless enthusiasm, happily entertaining herself before inviting everyone else to join in the fun. Whether she's carrying around her favorite toy, exploring the backyard, or making up her own little games, she's always finding a way to keep herself entertained. She's friendly, social, and loves being part of whatever is going on around her. As much as Dolly loves to play, her foster will tell you her favorite thing about her is how incredibly cuddly she is. Once she's gotten all those puppy wiggles out, she's more than happy to curl up beside you while you watch TV, snuggle into your lap, or simply be as close to her people as possible. She's the kind of puppy who makes it very easy to lose track of time because once she settles in for cuddles, you'll never want to move. Dolly is growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages, giving her an incredible start to life. She's learning how to interact with everyone around her and is developing into a confident, well-socialized puppy who's excited to make new friends wherever she goes. Like any young puppy, Dolly is still learning all about the world around her. She's doing well with crate training and settles nicely in her kennel when it's time. Potty training is also coming along well, though she's still practicing and will need a family committed to continuing her routine with patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement. Treats and toys are definitely the way to Dolly's heart. She's always excited when it's time to play, and she's more than happy to accept a tasty reward along the way. Between her eagerness to interact with her people and her playful personality, we think she'll be a fun puppy to continue training as she grows. Like all puppies, Dolly will need a family committed to continuing her training, socialization, and helping her learn all the important puppy life skills. The time you invest in her now will help shape her into the incredible adult dog she's already well on her way to becoming. If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts cuddle bug, playful sidekick, and tiny fashion icon, Dolly Hazel Toy Story is ready to fill your home with laughter, puppy kisses, adorable outfits, and enough snuggles to last a lifetime. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a20796127a1aa1ef808bae5 Questions?
