Story
Pepe is a 12yr old and needs a home where he can be the center of attention. Preferably with a female and no other animals. He has been a family pet, but primarily our daughter's dog. She has taken very good care of him but has moved out of state and is unable to bring him with her. Pepe was a rescue dog at 6 mo., while he had a hard start in life he has been spoiled with lots of love. He shared our home with a couple of other pups who have since gone over the rainbow bridge. We now have a 1 1/2 year old pup and if you can imaging pup energy with a senior dog some days are a challenge. Pepe does enjoy short walks, and 1 to 1 attention and would thrive with someone who would focus only on him.

Story
HI, MY NAME IS BRUISER and I'm a great little guy! I'm a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix who was rescued from an overcrowded and scary California shelter. I'm currently in a foster home, where I share my days with other dogs, though I'm losing my foster home soon. I get along well with other dogs, but would honestly do best with a female companion, or as only dog as sometimes the other boys annoy me. I'm a little underweight at the moment and weigh about 10 lbs. I am pretty quiet, and I love to snuggle! Can you adopt me? I'm currently still in California, but can be transported to you in Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi! My name is Buddy but my fosters call me Quiche. I’m three (or maybe four, who can remember?) years old. I’m a Chihuahua, but don’t worry–I don’t bite (but I might gently nip if we’re playing!) I love my humans but i am a bit slow to warm up to men but when I do I’ll be loyal to you forever! All I require is food, water, shelter, and lots and lots of love! Give me that, and I’ll snuggle, play, and love you. I’m energetic and I like a morning walk, a lunch walk, and one after dinner. I like wet food mixed with my kibble, and you can feed me at the same time you feed yourself! I love my humans, and I love to just be around you. Make sure you’re never away for too long. I’ll bark and whine when I need to go for a walk, so no need for wee pads. I only bark when I have to go, but not all the time. I enjoy to playing fetch and tug-of-war, and I know commands like “sit”, “come” and “drop it,” but it is hard for me to let go of my toy. Sometimes I’ll stay if you tell me to, but I want to be close to you! I also know the words “walk”, “ball” and “food”, and I’m learning “kennel”, or “crate”. I’m pretty good at responding to my name, too! I do well with cats and other dogs. Mostly I ignore them, but I’ll say hello if they seem nice. Please, don’t let them near my food while I’m eating, that makes me upset. I have very short fur, so I need sweaters and coats, and I do not like the rain. I’m also good at not going where I’m not allowed. I won’t jump over any gates or fences set up, even though I totally could. I like to snuggle, and if you don’t like that, I at least need a night light to sleep. I am fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and my adoption fee is $ 340.00. To meet me please fill out the Dog Adoption Application on OFOSA.ORG and my foster parents will get back to you to meet me and see if I am your little boy. See you soon! Buddy -(Quiche Irwin Foster)

Story
My name is Lincoln. I am a 2-year old chihuahua mix, tho my pictures make people think I`m a pit bull but honestly I`m a little Chihuahua. I weight 11 pounds. As you can see from my pictures, I am a good looking guy. I am full of energy and need a home that has a fully fenced back yard so I can run and do my zoomies. I really prefer adult owners and am especially fond of guys. My foster parents say I am a good boy. I walk well on a leash, but not real fond of other dogs in fact I would prefer to not be around another dog. . I do all my business outside and do not need to be crated when my foster parents are away from the house. Boy do I love to sleep in your bed at night. I am a snuggler and burrow under the covers for most of the night. I will lay right next to you. I just love being with people, and you can find me on your lap or right next to you on the recliner in the evening while watching tv. I am young and my foster parents say I will make a wonderful pet for the right person. If you would like to meet me, please let OFOSA know by filling out the dog adoption application on our Website OFOSA.ORG. I am neutered, microchipped and fully up to date on my shots and my adoption fee is $340.00 Hope to hear from you soon.

Story
*Now fostered in Lake Stevens, WA* This cutie is Idaho. He is currently 6 months old and we think they may be a chihuahua mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Idaho’s playful personality here: https://youtu.be/nAT2SCRJED0?si=4QXyU1YpWLrDRBCb Idaho is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Idaho is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? We proudly have over 17,000 successful adoptions and excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process. At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth, and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test or $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions Access to multiple dog trainers in your area, along with $40 off of your first session of in person dog training through Rover Training 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Peanut may be tiny, but don’t let his size fool you—this little Chihuahua/wire-haired terrier mix has a BIG personality. At around two months old, Peanut is a playful, goofy, tail-wagging machine who is fully committed to living life as one big adventure. Peanut is the kind of puppy who turns everything into a game. Got a toy? It’s his favorite. Got another toy? Also his favorite. Got a sock? Well… that might be his most favorite. He loves to bounce around, play tug, and zoom in happy little circles like he just discovered joy for the first time (every single time). His playful energy is contagious, and it’s nearly impossible not to smile when he’s around. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/VaHXt10YCaA?si=iZMbNbyHGGT8bm_d He’s also wonderfully social and loves being part of the action. Whether you’re playing, moving around the house, or just existing nearby, Peanut wants to be involved. He’s curious, silly, and full of that classic puppy mischief that keeps life interesting. Because Peanut is still a baby, he’ll need a family ready to commit to all the important puppy basics—potty training, structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. He’s not going to come pre-programmed, but that’s part of the magic. Watching him learn and grow will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Peanut is looking for a home that will embrace his playful spirit, guide him with love, and give him plenty of time and attention. In return, he’ll bring nonstop laughter, endless affection, and a lifetime of loyalty packed into one tiny, wiggly little pup. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69b486679f183a9ac005b9e2 Questions?
