Hi, I`m Franklin! (But you can call me Frankie!) I`m a little guy at just over 8 lbs but I have a whole lot of love to give! I`ve been through a lot, so I`m still learning that the world isn`t such a scary place. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle me, but I`m gaining confidence every day! When things get scary, I know exactly where I want to be: snuggled up in someone`s arms! In fact, when I first met my foster mom at the rescue, I climbed right into her lap for comfort before we`d even been introduced! I`ve already figured out that humans make wonderful safe places. I`m a total cuddle bug who loves being close to my people and keeping them in sight. I`m also doing really well sleeping in my kennel at night! And when my people come home? I get SO excited that I break out my silliest zoomies! Who knew such a little guy could have so much wiggle? I`m still figuring out this walking-on-a-leash thing. Sometimes I get nervous and freeze in my tracks, but having another dog along makes me feel much braver! I`ve been getting along well with my small furry friends, and they help me feel more confident. And did I mention my side-eye game? It`s LEGENDARY! I may be small and shy, but I`ve mastered the art of giving you a look that says, `I`m judging you!` Because I`m tiny and easily startled, I`d probably do best in a home without very young children. I`m looking for a patient, loving family to help me continue building my confidence. In return, I promise endless snuggles, affection, and plenty of personality! If you`re looking for a sweet, snuggly little shadow with silly zoomies, a legendary side-eye, and a whole lot of love, I might just be your guy! They get along will with other dogs, although Jenny is an alpha female and likes to be in charge of other dogs but she is very friendly. Juliette is very shy but will not pass on a chance to be in your lap and snuggle down deep. Both dogs walk well on a leash and do not mind the crate too much as long as they are together. Their favorite place to be is with their human. They are great companion dogs. They would do best in a low stress, quiet home together. They are spay, microchip and all their shots. This is Morty, a cute 3 year old chihuahua mix who is a very smart little guy! He adapted to his foster home right away, learning about the doggy door after only a few demonstrations, and understanding how to line up for treats and dinner. He has had a few pee dribbles but seems to be understanding that outside is for potty. He definitely understands no and will stop what he`s doing as soon as he hears it. He also is really excited to hear that he`s being a good boy! Besides being a smarty pants, Morty is very sweet and likes to cuddle and hang out with the crowd. He gets along with his two foster home dog friends, and he sits with his foster family, even asking for pets with a little paw tap. He snuggles up at night and closes his eyes with a happy face when getting his head scratched. Morty is light and fast and likes to play and explore the backyard. He is good on a leash and, when off leash, likes to wear out his foster brother with the you-chase-me-and-I`ll-chase-you game, which his foster family is very grateful for! Franklin is an exceptional family pup. He is crate trained and puppy pad trained (He is working on his potty training). He likes riding in the truck and go for walks. He likes other dogs and cats that like playful pups. He likes all people. He loves his dog bed, his toys, hanging out on human couches and playing with other dogs his size. San Antonio area has over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic.
