Chihuahua puppies and dogs in Tigard, Oregon

Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story! Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 5 months old. We believe this little one may be a Chihuahua/Lab mix, but as with many rescue puppies, her exact breed blend is a mystery. What we do know is that she is absolutely adorable and deserving of a loving home. Watch Trixie in action! With her warm cinnamon-colored coat, sweet dark muzzle, tiny puppy paws, and soulful eyes, Trixie looks like a little caramel latte with legs. She’s the kind of puppy that makes people immediately stop scrolling and say, “Oh my goodness, look at that face!” Trixie is currently growing up in a wonderful foster home surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages. Because of this, she’s getting an amazing start in life and learning that the world is a safe and exciting place full of friends, cuddles, and adventures. If every litter has that one puppy with an old soul, it’s Trixie. While she absolutely enjoys chasing toys, playing with her siblings, and joining in on puppy fun, she has a wonderfully calm, gentle nature that makes her stand out. She doesn’t always have to be the center of the action—she’s just as happy soaking up affection and quietly enjoying the company of her people. One of the sweetest things about Trixie is how much she adores children. During a recent visit with a young girl, Trixie made her choice almost immediately. She happily snuggled close, soaked up every bit of attention, and quickly became the little girl’s favorite puppy in the entire litter. It was easy to see why. Trixie has a soft, patient, affectionate personality that makes her feel like a tiny best friend from the moment you meet her. She loves carrying toys around, enjoys playful moments with her siblings, and has all the curiosity you’d expect from a growing puppy. But when playtime is over, she’s more than ready to curl up beside you for cuddles. Her balance of playful puppy energy and easygoing sweetness makes her a truly special little girl. Like all young puppies, Trixie will need a family committed to training, socialization, patience, and consistency. The experiences she has now will help shape her into a happy, confident adult dog. We require adopters to begin crate training right away to help establish routine, support potty training, and build healthy habits from the very beginning. Puppies like Trixie are among the most vulnerable animals in rescue. By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing her life forever, but also helping create space for another puppy who desperately needs a second chance. If you’ve been dreaming of a puppy who’s as gentle as she is adorable, who lights up around children, loves her toys, and would rather snuggle beside you than be anywhere else, Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story may just be the perfect addition to your family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a207968eae0297e110aa7d1 Questions? Shelly Loo has the confidence of a dog three times her size and absolutely none of the hesitation. She marches into new situations like she's been invited, assumes everyone is delighted to see her, and immediately starts looking for something fun to do. Usually that something involves toys. Estimated to be around 4 years old, weighing 20 pounds, and looking very much like a Chihuahua mix, but of course- Shelly Loo is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. Guaranteed is that she is a confident, entertaining little character with a playful streak, plenty of personality, and a serious appreciation for attention from her people. Go watch Shelly Loo Who on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this spunky little lady. https://youtu.be/wmOb1RpNHDc Shelly Loo loves people and has a knack for making herself part of whatever is happening. She handles busy enviornments with ease, happily soaks up attention from everyone she meets and all around makes a great companion whether at home or out in the world. She is also a true toy enthusiast, and can happily entertain herself with a toy to chase, toss, or proudly carry around. While Shelly enjoys meeting other dogs, she's not exactly looking for a committee to run her life. She's a confident girl who prefers thoughtful introductions and tends to do best with larger, confident dogs that won't be bothered by her bossy moments. She's not looking to be the welcome crew of the dog park. Think more "neighborhood mayor" than "life of the party." Shelly would love a home that can keep her active with daily walks, toys, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with her people. She is a blast with kids and from everything we have seen she has all the makings of a fun little companion for a family that appreciates a dog with personality. Shelly Loo’s one no-need is cats. When she met our house cat it was clear that she would thoroughly enjoy chasing a cat- something we can all agree cats hate! So for everyones sake, a cat-free home is best for her. If you're looking for a small dog with confidence, charm, and enough character to keep life interesting, Shelly Loo is ready to march straight into your heart. Meet Phoebe PeeWee Ark — a gentle soul looking for someone willing to let her take life at her own pace. Watch her video here! https://youtu.be/_hpS_0ByZzo Phoebe can be very anxious when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar places, so she isn’t the kind of dog who will necessarily run up and become your best friend five minutes after meeting you. She needs a little time to observe, settle in, and realize that she’s safe. But give her that time, and you’ll get to see the affectionate, sweet girl hiding underneath those worried eyes. Once Phoebe is comfortable, she is happiest enjoying the simple things: relaxing on the couch, spending time with her people, and hanging out with her four-legged friends. She currently lives in a foster home with multiple dogs and does wonderfully with them. She is dog friendly, small-dog friendly, and cat tolerant, and when she does decide it’s time to play, she has a wonderfully gentle play style. Phoebe is also house trained and easy on the leash, making her a pretty easygoing companion once she has settled into her routine. She isn’t looking for constant adventure or a packed social calendar — this girl has serious couch-potato potential. And then there are those eyes. Phoebe has incredibly expressive eyes that seem to tell you exactly what she’s thinking, whether she’s feeling unsure, curious, hopeful, or finally completely content. Phoebe’s ideal person won’t expect her to be brave overnight. They’ll understand that trust can take time and will allow her to approach new people and experiences without being rushed. In return, they’ll have the privilege of watching a nervous dog slowly realize, “I’m home. I’m safe here.” For the patient person willing to earn her trust, Phoebe PeeWee Ark has so much love waiting on the other side.
