Story
Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story! Meet Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 3 months old. We believe this little one may be a Chihuahua/Lab mix, but as with many rescue puppies, her exact breed blend is a mystery. What we do know is that she is absolutely adorable and deserving of a loving home. Watch Trixie and her siblings in action in their video! https://youtu.be/zv1xI6w6QDQ?si=Zh_erTHktJ4bhzas With her warm cinnamon-colored coat, sweet dark muzzle, tiny puppy paws, and soulful eyes, Trixie looks like a little caramel latte with legs. She’s the kind of puppy that makes people immediately stop scrolling and say, “Oh my goodness, look at that face!” Trixie is currently growing up in a wonderful foster home surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages. Because of this, she’s getting an amazing start in life and learning that the world is a safe and exciting place full of friends, cuddles, and adventures. If every litter has that one puppy with an old soul, it’s Trixie. While she absolutely enjoys chasing toys, playing with her siblings, and joining in on puppy fun, she has a wonderfully calm, gentle nature that makes her stand out. She doesn’t always have to be the center of the action—she’s just as happy soaking up affection and quietly enjoying the company of her people. One of the sweetest things about Trixie is how much she adores children. During a recent visit with a young girl, Trixie made her choice almost immediately. She happily snuggled close, soaked up every bit of attention, and quickly became the little girl’s favorite puppy in the entire litter. It was easy to see why. Trixie has a soft, patient, affectionate personality that makes her feel like a tiny best friend from the moment you meet her. She loves carrying toys around, enjoys playful moments with her siblings, and has all the curiosity you’d expect from a growing puppy. But when playtime is over, she’s more than ready to curl up beside you for cuddles. Her balance of playful puppy energy and easygoing sweetness makes her a truly special little girl. Like all young puppies, Trixie will need a family committed to training, socialization, patience, and consistency. The experiences she has now will help shape her into a happy, confident adult dog. We require adopters to begin crate training right away to help establish routine, support potty training, and build healthy habits from the very beginning. Puppies like Trixie are among the most vulnerable animals in rescue. By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing her life forever, but also helping create space for another puppy who desperately needs a second chance. If you’ve been dreaming of a puppy who’s as gentle as she is adorable, who lights up around children, loves her toys, and would rather snuggle beside you than be anywhere else, Trixie Cinnamon Toy Story may just be the perfect addition to your family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a207968eae0297e110aa7d1 Questions? Story
Meet adoptable Rhett! At just two months old and around four pounds, this itty-bitty sweetheart is believed to be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. With his adorable floppy ears, curly little tail, and bright, curious eyes, Rhett is the kind of puppy who makes everyone smile the moment they meet him. Rhett is growing up in a loving foster home alongside other dogs and young children, and he’s thriving. He’s wonderful with his little human friends, happily soaking up all the cuddles, being carried around, and patiently accepting every bit of love they have to give. His gentle, tolerant nature makes him an excellent candidate for a family looking for a puppy who truly enjoys being part of the action. Watch Rhett’s video here! https://youtu.be/8C663RhiO84?si=vdY6tKGtu_nGPzUO Like any happy puppy, Rhett is full of personality! He loves to play with his dog buddies, often starting silly little wrestling matches or playfully batting at them with his tiny paws. When playtime is over, his favorite place in the world is right in your lap, where he’ll happily curl up for a cuddle. One of Rhett’s cutest quirks? He loves hanging out by the pool with his foster mom. He’s even happy to hop onto a float with her and relax, making us think he just might become a little water-loving adventurer as he grows. For now, he’s mostly curious about the water—but he’s taking it one tiny paw at a time. If you’re looking for a playful little shadow with a huge heart packed into a four-pound body, Rhett is ready to bring endless joy, laughter, and snuggles to his forever family. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a4fcaf020352d9a270874ba Questions? Story
Meet adoptable Jewels, a two-month-old Chihuahua mix (best guess!) weighing just 2.8 pounds. She may be tiny enough to fit in your hands, but her personality is absolutely enormous. With her precious forehead wrinkles, oversized satellite ears, and sweet little eyes that seem to say “I love you,” she’s impossible not to fall for. Jewels is thriving in a loving foster home where she’s learning all about the good life. She’s fostered alongside two large dogs and confidently keeps up with them, proving that being little doesn’t stop her from being brave. She’s doing wonderfully with her crate and is growing into a happy, well-rounded puppy. Watch this sweet girls’ personality in action in her video! https://youtu.be/r1J5i4M30Vc?si=oM6HoxOXc1JMpC5Y This goofy little girl is pure entertainment. She loves chasing her own shadow across the wall, bouncing around the house like she’s on springs, and her adorable puppy zoomies often end in the cutest little flops. Instead of running, she almost hops like a tiny bunny, making every play session impossible not to smile at. Once she’s finished playing, Jewels transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. Her favorite place in the world is curled up on your lap or stretched out across your chest for a long, cozy nap. She truly gives you the best of both worlds—a playful, silly puppy who also knows exactly how to slow down and soak up all the love. Like all young puppies, Jewels is still learning about the world and will thrive with a family committed to positive training, socialization, patience, and routine. The time you invest now will help her grow into an incredible lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, endless charm, and enough personality to keep you laughing every day, Jewels might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt her today and get ready to fall head over heels for this little gem. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a4c0100afcae474c80f06d8 Questions? Warning: Side effects of reading this bio may include sudden squealing, an overwhelming urge to buy tiny sweaters, and falling hopelessly in love. Meet Margherita! A teeny tiny black Chihuahua princess who currently weighs about 2 pounds of pure adorableness and is working hard on mastering the important puppy skills of snuggling, napping, and stealing hearts. At just 4 weeks old, Margherita is the smallest of her four siblings, but don’t let her tiny size fool you. This little lady is quietly finding her courage and growing more confident every day. She has a sweet, gentle nature and prefers to take in the world at her own pace before deciding you’re worthy of her affection. Like any respectable Chihuahua, Margherita has already perfected the signature Chihuahua tremble. Is she cold? Excited? Deeply contemplating life’s mysteries? The world may never know. When she’s not busy being impossibly cute, Margherita loves to snuggle up close and soak in all the love she can get. Her mama is estimated to be around 12 pounds, so we expect Margherita to stay delightfully petite as she grows. Because she is still a very young puppy, her future family should be ready for all the joys and challenges that come with puppyhood. Puppies require patience, love, consistency, and training as they learn house manners, confidence, routines, and all the skills needed to become wonderful adult dogs. The time you invest now will help Margherita blossom into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. Tiny? Absolutely. Sweet? Without question. Ready to steal your heart? She’s already halfway there. If you’re looking for a pocket-sized best friend with a gentle spirit, endless cuddle potential, and a future full of love, Margherita may be your perfect match. Questions? Shelly Loo has the confidence of a dog three times her size and absolutely none of the hesitation. She marches into new situations like she's been invited, assumes everyone is delighted to see her, and immediately starts looking for something fun to do. Usually that something involves toys. Estimated to be around 4 years old, weighing 20 pounds, and looking very much like a Chihuahua mix, but of course- Shelly Loo is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. Guaranteed is that she is a confident, entertaining little character with a playful streak, plenty of personality, and a serious appreciation for attention from her people. Go watch Shelly Loo Who on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this spunky little lady. https://youtu.be/wmOb1RpNHDc Shelly Loo loves people and has a knack for making herself part of whatever is happening. She handles busy enviornments with ease, happily soaks up attention from everyone she meets and all around makes a great companion whether at home or out in the world. She is also a true toy enthusiast, and can happily entertain herself with a toy to chase, toss, or proudly carry around. While Shelly enjoys meeting other dogs, she's not exactly looking for a committee to run her life. She's a confident girl who prefers thoughtful introductions and tends to do best with larger, confident dogs that won't be bothered by her bossy moments. She's not looking to be the welcome crew of the dog park. Think more "neighborhood mayor" than "life of the party." Shelly would love a home that can keep her active with daily walks, toys, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with her people. She is a blast with kids and from everything we have seen she has all the makings of a fun little companion for a family that appreciates a dog with personality. Shelly Loo’s one no-need is cats. When she met our house cat it was clear that she would thoroughly enjoy chasing a cat- something we can all agree cats hate! So for everyones sake, a cat-free home is best for her. If you're looking for a small dog with confidence, charm, and enough character to keep life interesting, Shelly Loo is ready to march straight into your heart. Story
Who’s tiny, white, curly and extra fluffy? Well, that’s Oscar for you! Oscar is a great boy who is learning the ways of the world. We estimate him to be about 3 years old. His tiny size comes from his Maltese Chihuahua roots if we’re going off of his good looks. Breed is never guaranteed in rescue— All we can do is guess! Oscar is about 15 pounds of pure lap dog though. Regardless of breed, these dogs are one of a kind. But especially Oscar! Oscar is currently in a loving foster home where he is fostered with other small dogs of his likeness. 7 dogs at that! He is having a great time learning all about toys, treats, and all things good. It’s been a pleasure to see him blossom into a playful little guy. One of his foster siblings is 19 years old, and Oscar makes sure he is gentle with her, never bothering her and taking corrections well. He is so funny— him and his siblings often play musical bowls, sharing their food at each meal time with no issues. They just move from one to the other. Sharing is caring! See Oscar being a little cutie pie in his video, then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/P2nA-U6pEBA?si=xrbMiQLueCUngvoR Oscar is the type of guy that likes to take things slow and he doesn’t move too fast on the first date. Earning his loyalty and trust is something that makes you feel so special. That’s why Oscar is so unique if he loves you, he falls hard for you and he’s a loyal little guy! His Foster says the Oscar is trusted to free Roam in the house and that he sleeps in bed with her at night. What a little cuddle bug! Oscar often finds himself on anything soft like the couch or his cozy dog bed on the floor. He doesn’t mind snuggling up with his new siblings and he’s always sitting on the porch with them enjoying the evening sounds. He will be your perfect morning coffee buddy watching you make breakfast in the kitchen and sitting outside enjoying the nice sunrise with you. Or sunset! Oscar isn’t picky, but you can tell that he is so thankful to be saved. We believe Oscar would be best in a home with a yard only because he loves being outside so much. His Foster will always find him in the shady spot underneath her sunflowers or following around the Blue Jays that she feeds. Sounds like it’s straight out of a movie! It’s almost like he is enjoying all of the little things that he didn’t get before he came to us. Although we haven’t seen Oscar with kids just yet we do believe the older kids would be best for this guy only because of his timidness. Like we said, he prefers to take things slow and he would he would love a life with a routine and calmness. Gentleness is the best thing about Oscar and he just craves peacefulness. Older kiddos that can understand and respect. His boundaries would be best! We have not seen him with kitties either, but we do believe that Oscar would be all right with a cat only because of his size. Eventually, he may want to play so we’re not recommending a home with just one kitty, but kitties and dogs alike would be fine. If you would like us to cat test him, please just say the word and we would be happy to help! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
