Hello, my name is Klein aka Cappy! My foster mom has a strong affiliation to my name and so she dubbed me Cappy, an affectionate nickname for her grandpa Klein! I am such a brave little guy. I flew here in an airplane from Guadalajara Mexico along with four other rescued fur friends (Matilda, Archie, Fendi, Musa) because a "flight angel"" helped us navigate boarding and exiting the plane to my rescue friends Street Savvy Dog Rescue in Portland, Oregon! I am a chihuahua mix, 10 months old and being fostered in the swanky Pearl District w my foster mom and her 2 small fur babies. I like people and dogs! To apply for me please visit me at streetsavvydogrescue.org Adoption Application

I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home! If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I'm recommended with kids older than 8 and prefer to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.I like dogs. I enjoy playgroups with my dog friends at the shelter and would like to meet any dogs I might be living with. Primary Color: Fawn Weight: 13.5 Age: 14yrs 1mths 0wks

🐾 Meet Prancer! 🐾 Hello! I'm Prancer, and I might be the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. Once I find my forever person or family, I never want to leave their side, showing unwavering loyalty and affection. I'm currently flourishing in my foster home. I'm mastering both potty and crate training and making excellent progress! Although I have cerebellar hypoplasia, which means I wobble a bit when I walk and can seem uncoordinated, it just adds to my unique charm. I may be shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and genuinely enjoy their company once I get to know them. I live with an adored human foster sister, which proves I'm fantastic with kids. My demeanor is calm, sweet, and gentle, and I don't get overwhelmed easily, making me a soothing companion. If you're looking for a loving, loyal friend who will fill your days with joy and your heart with love, I am the dog for you. Prancer is ready to find a loving home where he can continue to thrive and share his gentle spirit. Story
Are you looking for a senior pup to love and spoil? Introducing Mr. Rodgers, an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix who carries the wisdom of his years with a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. At a cozy 15 lbs, he hails from a bustling household but has gracefully adapted to his current foster home after being surrendered with several of his pup companions. Mr. Rodgers may be in his golden years, but his passion for life is as youthful as ever. He delights in leisurely walks and the simple joys of a backyard adventure. While honing his leash-walking skills, he has shown considerable improvement and is enthusiastic about outdoor escapades. He's fond of dashing around, exploring, and laying in the grass, always wrapping up with a nap in the sun. A friendly fellow, Mr. Rodgers gets along famously with the two small dogs in his foster home, enjoying playful romps and the occasional toy heist. However, he's just as happy to settle for a cuddle session with his furry friends. He's got his house manners down to fine art, has swiftly mastered the doggie door, and feels quite at home in his kennel during the day and at night. Mr. Rodgers's enthusiasm shines at meal times. He's exuberant, eagerly scampering to his kennel and dancing a little jig as he awaits his food. New acquaintances might initially find Mr. Rodgers a touch reserved, but once he's sure of his new friends, his affectionate nature quickly surfaces. He prefers the security of his carrier when traveling by car, displaying a bit of nervousness if he's not in his snug spot. With a combination of low-energy contentment and heartwarming charm, Mr. Rodgers is the quintessential companion for anyone seeking a calm companion and a dash of playful delight. If your heart is open to embracing a senior dog with a puppy's heart, Mr. Rodgers is more than ready to fill your home with love, loyalty, and the quiet excitement that comes with a life well-lived. Are you prepared to welcome this loving soul for a forever friendship? 🐶❤️ Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. An apartment may not be the ideal fit for her due to some separation anxiety and a tendency to vocalize when crated. Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. During her assessment, she showed some initial insecurity around larger dogs but may open up and enjoy playful interactions in the right environment. She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with adults or older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Story
Bruno is the epitome of the term companion dog- an affectionate cuddle bug who is a joy to be around thanks to his playful nature and easy-going personality. Watching him play with a stuffie alone is enough to cure any bit of blues you could ever have! Add on that he is great with other dogs, easy on leash, smart and a downright cutie and I don’t think it gets more perfect! Bruno has been fortunate to spend his ime waiting for her adoption day in a foster home, giving her a head start on becoming an excellent house dog. Bruno’s foster family has shared that he is a delight! His love language is undoubtedly affection and to be specific, its cuddles! They shared that he usually starts the night sleeping alone but often ends up in bed with the rest of the family by morning. https://youtu.be/rBbzuNRQaps One of Bruno's favorite activities is going on walks. He eagerly looks forward to exploring the neighborhood and getting his daily dose of exercise. Bonus, he is easy on leash! His size and good manners make him a great walking companion! While on walks his friendly personality shines and he takes any chance he gets to meet new people- kids and adults alike gravitate towards him- his joyful nature is a magnet to dog lovers! Brunos foster family has several other dogs and he plays well with them. He gravitates to the girl dogs, one is a similar size to him and the other is larger, which is common for male dogs. If he is in the company of dogs that are a bit rowdy, which isn’t his style, he will just wander off on his own. He is incredibly content and self-entertaining. Bruno would thrive in a home that provides consistent direction with a family that can give him plenty of attention, continue his training, and offer lots of love and snuggles. If there are other dogs in the home, ideally they would be playful but aloof and not pushy about interaction. With the right guidance, Bruno is sure to be a loyal and delightful companion. Bruno is eager to please and is learning commands quickly. He has learned and responds well to commands such as "off," "leave it," "wait," and "go to your room.Off- used when he jumps up to claim his human and makes him wait to be invited up. Leave It- when its time to be all-done with a toy or is interested in dropped food that isn’t for him. Wait- dinner served manners and before exiting the front door. Go to Your Room- for his crate training! Don’t you love it! Its basically the best-boy deluxe package! Because Bruno is highly food-motivated, training has come easy which will translate easily to his new home. He is also both house and crate-trained! A set of skills that are such a bonus to have already! His foster family shared that he will even open his crate door with his paw to get into it quicker! One thing he will need to continue working on is his eagerness. He was labeled an “escape artist” at one point but we have since realized he is more of an opportunist. A secure yard and continued training of the ‘wait” command at the door has been working beautifully at his foster home with no incidents.. Though Bruno gives us the impression he may be a Pug/Chihuahua mix, he also has made us wonder if there is some Beagle mixed in there. He can be a bit vocal and loves to let out the occasional howl when he is excited or trying to get your attention. He isn’t noisy though, in fact his foster family recently was hit by a hurricane and they shared that he slept right through it! And in the aftermath when the rain kept coming, he didn’t mind going outside in the rain! We love a dog that doesn’t let the weather slow their routine down! Bruno is a wonderful dog who is full of love, an obvious good boy, a true lover, and the perfect addition to any home. Interested in Bruno?
