Story
I acquired TJ when he was about 5-6 months old. He was a gift for my mother. Unfortunately, my mother is no longer to take care of him as she has gotten older, and I work full-time. TJ deserves to be with someone who is willing to give him the time he deserves. TJ has always been a tine Chihuahua. He is tinier then other chihuahuas. He is white with a little bit off light brown. He loves to wrap himself in small infant blankets. This is must. He has about 20-25 of them that I bought for him over the years. He also has a cage, and if adopted, he would come with all his blankets and the cage. He only eats wet food, but sometimes, he will eat dry small kibble. TJ likes to nap. He enjoys going on walks. I walk him everyday for 20 minutes. He enjoys it best when it is sunny outside and it is not too cold. TJ requires to have a something warm on him. This could be a sweater or something similar. If you are interested in TJ, I am willing to tell you everything about him.

Story
Edwin is a young senior gentleman dog who is polite, loving and social with people and other dogs. We rescued him from a hoarding situation in California where he lived for a couple of years. He was so relieved and happy to be in foster now and out of the chaos of his previous home with 9 other dogs. - 18 pounds and approximately 8 - 9 years old - Possibly a Chihuahua mix. Has a cute little underbite that shows his bottom teeth. We are not sure what breed is mixed in there to cause his funny little profile but it's endearing nontheless! - Good with other dogs and has lived with both large and small dogs without issue. - Tested with cats and was polite and didn't bother the cat at all. He just wanted more attention from the humans and mostly ignored the cat after some mild initial interest. - We have not seen Edwin with children. He is a gentle dog who would appreciate a calmer home. Calm, gentle kids would likely be fine. - Good with his potty habits - Walks nice on leash and no leash reactivity noted - Rides well in the car and we haven't noted any car sickness Edwin is going to make someone very happy. He is a little treasure who deserves a happy ending. His original owners moved out of the country and that is how he landed in the hoarding situation with another person the past couple of years. Edwin would love to bond with a new human that has lots of love to give. Edwin is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in SE Portland, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT EDWIN ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Polly is an adorable Chihuahua girl that came to us from a rescue in California where she wasn't having much luck getting adopted. Polly has a loving and happy personality and could be a nice companion dog for a variety of homes. She fits in well! - Approximately 1-2 years old and 15 pounds - Does well with other dogs and has lived with large and small dogs. Enjoys some moderate play. - Has been polite in meeting cats but has never lived with a cat. We think she is cat workable. - Kids ages 10+ if there are kids in the home - Doing well with her potty habits - Walks nice on leash and no leash reactivity - Enjoys water and playing in a doggie pool - Good for car rides, no car sickness noted - Nice medium energy. Has settled into her foster home well and so far has not been an anxious dog. - Fairly quiet and we have not noticed any barking so far in foster. Polly is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Tualatin, Milwaukie or Portland. $400 adoption fee Fostered in Hillsboro, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT POLLY ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
**Please note this pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to OR for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Rascal Lovebug! Rascal Lovebug is a 10-month-old male Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a personality that lives up to his name. Weighing about 19 pounds, he’s the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddle-ready sweetness. This handsome boy is super sweet and affectionate and absolutely adores cuddling with his people. He loves being around people and other dogs and enjoys making new friends wherever he goes. When he’s not soaking up affection, Rascal Lovebug is happiest running and playing outside, burning off his puppy energy and having fun. Rascal is doing great with house training and crate training, and he’s continuing to improve his leash skills—he’s making very good progress and eager to keep learning. He’s a smart, happy pup who just wants to please. Rascal Lovebug does have a grade 5 heart murmur, but it certainly doesn’t define him. He doesn’t let it slow him down and continues to live life with joy, enthusiasm, and plenty of tail wags. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and affectionate companion who will happily curl up in your arms after a fun day outside, Rascal Lovebug may be the perfect match for you! Interested in becoming a forever home for Rascal? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
