Story
Star (Starscream) is an almost 4 month old dachsund chihuahua (chiweenie) mix who's about 8.5 lbs of absolute puppy love.  His full name isn't "starscream" because he likes to scream, but was a part of a litter that was named after transformers! lol He is a sweet special puppy who arrived to our rescue with his mom & two other siblings at just 2 days old and has been in a foster home ever since.  He likes being held in your arms, and enjoys getting affection and belly rubs. He LOVES to fetch and play with all kinds of toys.  Are you the right family for Star? Since his other siblings have been adopted, Star has been feeling quite nervous about the big wide world, and will need a family that will be patient with showing him new experiences, keep his world small, and grow his world at his pace. Continuing puppy classes, puppy socials, and low-stake experiences that he learns are positive will help him gain confidence over time. He's not going to be a puppy you can take with you everywhere and big adventures meeting lots of new people and dogs are going to scare him. He will benefit from a calm home that is gentle, loving, and patient. In return, he will be your loving companion, and with your guidance will grow into a brave pup who will always be by your side! As a young puppy, he's learning lots of things like potty training, crate training, some very basic tricks like "sit" and "touch". He sleeps great in a crate throughout the night by his foster mom's bed, and if he needs to go out in the early morning for a potty he'll wake you up with a cute little yowl to let you know he's up. He knows how to settle in a crate for a few hours when he has to be left alone, and will wait patiently for you to let him out when you get back. His potty training skills are going great, and knows what "go potty" means, but of course will need continued positive reinforcement and chaperoning to go outside. Puppies adopted from Underdogs Rock! Rescue are required to go to force-free puppy classes with their new families because we know these classes are essential to providing puppies and their new families with a foundation of guidance and support as they grow up. Underdog puppies will have  their vaccines and microchipped covered, and our rescue will cover their spay/neuter when they reach the appropriate age. Adoption fee is $525. He is being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescue July 16, 2026, 6:27 pm

Story
Meet Miracle! Miracle is a sweet, shy little guy who just needs a bit of patience, and a few tasty treats, to come out of his shell. Once he feels comfortable, he's all about the snuggles and happily entertains himself with his beloved stuffies. This very good boy recently rocked his vet visit and was absolutely adored by all the nurses! One look at his unique, Grinch-like paws and you'll understand why our team is completely obsessed. Miracle is about 2 years old and has two luxating patellas, but that doesn't slow him down one bit. Our team is helping him shed a few extra pounds to support his joints and keep him feeling his best. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion, then Miracle might be the right one for you. Story
Peanut may be tiny, but don’t let his size fool you—this little Chiweenie mix has a BIG personality. At around five months old, Peanut is a playful, goofy, tail-wagging machine who is fully committed to living life as one big adventure. Peanut is the kind of puppy who turns everything into a game. Got a toy? It’s his favorite. Got another toy? Also his favorite. Got a sock? Well… that might be his most favorite. He loves to bounce around, play tug, and zoom in happy little circles like he just discovered joy for the first time (every single time). His playful energy is contagious, and it’s nearly impossible not to smile when he’s around. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/VaHXt10YCaA?si=iZMbNbyHGGT8bm_d He’s also wonderfully social and loves being part of the action. Whether you’re playing, moving around the house, or just existing nearby, Peanut wants to be involved. He’s curious, silly, and full of that classic puppy mischief that keeps life interesting. Because Peanut is still a baby, he’ll need a family ready to commit to all the important puppy basics—potty training, structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. He’s not going to come pre-programmed, but that’s part of the magic. Watching him learn and grow will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Peanut is looking for a home that will embrace his playful spirit, guide him with love, and give him plenty of time and attention. In return, he’ll bring nonstop laughter, endless affection, and a lifetime of loyalty packed into one tiny, wiggly little pup. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69b486679f183a9ac005b9e2 Questions? Story
Warning: Side effects of reading this bio may include sudden squealing, an overwhelming urge to buy tiny sweaters, and falling hopelessly in love. Meet Margherita! A teeny tiny black Chihuahua princess who currently weighs about 2 pounds of pure adorableness and is working hard on mastering the important puppy skills of snuggling, napping, and stealing hearts. At just 4 weeks old, Margherita is the smallest of her four siblings, but don’t let her tiny size fool you. This little lady is quietly finding her courage and growing more confident every day. She has a sweet, gentle nature and prefers to take in the world at her own pace before deciding you’re worthy of her affection. Like any respectable Chihuahua, Margherita has already perfected the signature Chihuahua tremble. Is she cold? Excited? Deeply contemplating life’s mysteries? The world may never know. When she’s not busy being impossibly cute, Margherita loves to snuggle up close and soak in all the love she can get. Her mama is estimated to be around 12 pounds, so we expect Margherita to stay delightfully petite as she grows. Because she is still a very young puppy, her future family should be ready for all the joys and challenges that come with puppyhood. Puppies require patience, love, consistency, and training as they learn house manners, confidence, routines, and all the skills needed to become wonderful adult dogs. The time you invest now will help Margherita blossom into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. Tiny? Absolutely. Sweet? Without question. Ready to steal your heart? She’s already halfway there. If you’re looking for a pocket-sized best friend with a gentle spirit, endless cuddle potential, and a future full of love, Margherita may be your perfect match. *Insert adoption link Questions? Story
Meet Cotton Candy! Cotton Candy is a 4-month-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix puppy weighing approximately 6 pounds. If you’re looking for a puppy who approaches life with excitement and enthusiasm, look no further than this tiny adventurer. With her adorable black-and-white spotted markings, bright eyes, and endless curiosity, Cotton Candy is always ready for whatever fun comes next. She is usually the first puppy to explore something new, whether it’s a new room, a new toy, or a new corner of the backyard. This little girl is full of personality. She loves zooming around the yard, racing from one end to the other, and hiding around corners before pouncing on her unsuspecting siblings. She’s playful, confident, and always looking for her next adventure. Watch Cotton Candy in action in her video! https://youtu.be/z-FK4g13nCI?si=_8r-0p-U5bbzOy6W Despite all that energy, Cotton Candy has a wonderfully sweet side. She may start out wiggly when you pick her up, but the moment the belly rubs begin, she completely melts. She loves cuddles, loves attention, and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’d like to be held. Cotton Candy also isn’t afraid to share her opinions. She’ll happily remind you when it’s time for dinner or when she thinks you should be paying attention to her. She’s currently working on potty training and sleeps in a kennel with her littermates, waking once during the night for a potty break before heading right back to sleep. If you’re looking for a puppy who will keep you laughing, exploring, and cuddling, Cotton Candy might be your perfect match. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a064230e1307626a70eb7f2 Questions?
