Story
Penny is a love! She is a Chug (Pug and Chihuahua) and she looks more like a Pug. She is a goof ball, and keeps me laughing. She is in her happy place curled up next to someone. She cuddles in the bed all night long. Her age is estimated to be 8 months now. I acquired her July 11 and she was approximately 6 months old then. She came from a Rescue in Fresno, California. But there is a lot of puppy in her. It takes patience at times but mostly is just a darling little dog. —She will chew on things but does well with her toys. —She is not completely potty trained but we are working on it. She uses pee pads at night one thing about Penny is that she hates her feet being touched. Getting her nails trimmed is an unhappy ordeal for herPenny is a sweetheart puppy who loves people and other dogs. She loves to play with other dogs at the dog park but doesn’t like sharing her human with others. She fights with our older dog, mainly over jealousies over attention from her family members.

Story
Penny is a a love bug. A happy, curious, FRIENDLY, playful, active little dog who is part Pug and part Chihuahua. She is approximately 7-8 months old. She looks more like a Pug. She loves everyone. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, is chipped, and checked out as healthy by the vet. This little lady will keep you in stitches with her goofy antics. She is working on potty training but isn’t there yet although she does well with the pee pads at night. The biggest problem with Penny is that she absolutely cannot stand her feet being touched, making nail trims difficult.Other than that, Penny is our love and excited about everything in her world.

Story
Meet Liam and Lex! An adorable pair of 11-year old brothers searching for their forever home. These two are a bonded duo, so we're hoping to place them together, and trust us, they would also prefer that. Despite their age, they're playful, spunky, and absolutely adore each other. When they're not wrestling or exploring, they're happiest curled up in a lap or getting some tasty treats! They are crate trained and respectful in the home; no chewing or destructive habits. They can be shy at first, so they need an adopter who can offer patience and consistency and loves to go on walks! Liam and Lex would thrive in a home without small children and with someone who appreciates their bond. To learn more about Liam and Lex, please reach out to our Placement Coordinator, Maggie, at 503-905-5200.

**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to OR for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Phoenix! 🔥 Phoenix is an adorable 1-year-old, 11-pound boy who’s ready to rise into his new beginning! This sweet pup may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he melts into the most affectionate, people-loving companion you could ask for. Phoenix walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys running around outside, exploring the world with his gentle confidence. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine buddy in his new home. He’s also making great progress with his house and crate training—smart boy! He came into rescue after being lovingly surrendered by a family who simply had too many dogs, through no fault of his own. Now Phoenix is ready for a forever home where he can shine and soak up all the attention, love, and treats he can get. If you’re looking for a sweet, soft-hearted companion with a spark of playful energy, Phoenix might just be the perfect match. Let him rise to the occasion and brighten your life! Interested in becoming a forever home for Phoenix? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Squirrel is part of a little of 8 little fluffy darlings we rescued from terrible neglect in California. They were with a family that could not care for them and were living outside exclusively and in rough shape. But they are all shined up now, feeling better, dewormed and thriving in a loving, cozy foster home. - Approximate date of birth: 6/29/26 - Male - Weigh approximately 4.7 pounds - Small breed mix. Possibly Poodle, Chihuahua and anyone's best guess. We do think they will mature to between 12-17 pounds. We have a photo of mom dog and she is white, scruffy fur and about 13 pounds. - Puppies are getting lots of handling, enrichment, playtime outside and inside, interaction with gentle children and kind adult dogs. - Kids ages 10 + years old if there are children in the home due to how tiny and fragile this litter is. We seek puppy adopters who are committed to socialization, training and long term commitment to their new puppy. Getting a new puppy is a serious step that will require a lot of work, clean up and lost sleep but as they mature, all the hard work will be worth it. Each puppy has had two rounds of vaccines, four rounds of dewormer, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and health examinations by our veterinarian. Adoption fee includes spay or neuter between 7-12 months of age at one of our partner veterinary clinics in SW Portland or Milwaukie. It also includes a wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $500 adoption fee Fostered in Gresham, Oregon PLEASE COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Blanche was a little dog dumped in an orchard in California where she survived for about a month with a second dog. The second dog disappeared and one of our rescue partners caught Blanche and got her to safety. Blanche has been in foster in California with another rescue with no interest for a year. We offered to bring Blanche up to our program with the hopes of her having better chances of finding a loving home. She is so deserving! Blanche is a shy dog who will need a patient person to give her time to blossom. She LOVES walks and gets very confident and happy to go on a walk. She will also potty on walks so she might do ok as an apartment dwelling dog. Blanche enjoys small dog friends and if you have another dog in the home she would likely enjoy having a buddy to show her the ropes. ** Must have a second dog in the home *** - 12 pounds and approximately 4 years old - Chihuahua mix - Potty trained and has not had any potty accidents in her foster home so far - Crate trained and will sleep in her crate at night quietly - Hasn't been a major barker and is pretty quiet overall - Tested well with cats and we believe she could likely live in a home with a cat - Kids ages 12 years + if there are kids in the home. Blanche would prefer a calm home and energetic kiddos would likely make her skittish and nervous. - Zero aggression shown. Although Blanche is shy, she has always been easy to handle and kind. - Has started to enjoy petting and sitting on the couch next to her foster mom. Blanche's personality is starting to relax and realize humans are nice to interact with. She loves a cozy blanket on the couch to sit next to her person. Blanche is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $200 adoption fee Fostered in SE Portland, Oregon COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE FOR BLANCHE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG
