Story
Hi there! Let me introduce myself, my name is Mickey, I'm around 2 years young, and weigh about 15 pounds.  I am super chill and affectionate. I love to sit on laps and get pets from you! I like my walks and I learned how to use a doggie door at my foster home too!  I'm good with dogs and kids, though toddlers wouldn't be great because of my size. I like to play with other dogs so if you have another dog that would be cool with me! I'm completely house trained and I'm working on my leash skills.  Underdogs has lots of great resources for doggie training too! I have a white muzzle and the humans tend to think I'm older but I'm just a mellow dog! I've got a super shiny black coat and really cool ears! As I'm a pretty quiet fellow, I'd be fine in an apartment as long as I get my exercise to stay healthy and active.  I'm ready to find my forever family! Are you mine?  Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $280. He is being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueOctober 20, 2024, 1:24 am

Story
Chewie is a very smart and sweet dog who is approximately 17 lbs. She has been to training, and understands basic commands to come, sit, and stay. She is very house trained. She has lived with another rescue, Tuna for the past 8 years, so she is good with other dogs and enjoys the dog park. She was good with a cat that we had several years ago. She loves to have toys and belly rubs. Unfortunately, life circumstances have changed for me. I have accepted a job out of state, and I am unable to have pets where I am going. I want most for her to have a loving, stable home with people who will be good to her and appreciate her. She is a loving dog, very smart, with a great personality. I am happy to answer any questions about her, feel free to ask. I would be happy to get together with you at your convenience if you would like to meet Chewie. Thank you for reading her profile.

Story
Lupita is all soft kisses and doe eyes. She’s a happy, beautiful and sweet little angel looking for a soft place to land. Lupita’s perfect home is a quiet, gentle and understanding one, where she can settle in surrounded by love. We believe that Lupita is a chihuahua mix of some sort, weighing in around 25 pounds and just under a year old. Lupita is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Watch Lupita here: https://youtu.be/Dd-3vNdVGEU?si=Qy4diL6K3wiR-VWz Lupita is currently fostered in a quiet home, with a couple and their three resident dogs. She gets along well with her canine companions, and would likely do well with a low to moderate energy playmate or two in her forever home. She plays, kisses and cuddles with her doggy foster siblings, and sleeps in bed with her foster family at night. She’s a polite and elegant little lady, in every way, but sometimes gets a little rough and tumble playing with her foster siblings! Here at the rescue, Lupita was cat tested. We believe that she is cat tolerant and could live with dog-savvy kitties. Sunbathing in the backyard or under the window, snuggling up in bed, and enthusiastically greeting her foster dad after a long day at work are some of Lupita’s favorite hobbies. Her absolute favorite thing to do is take walks with her foster mom, who reports that she’s wonderful on leash! Lupita loves to chew on squeaky toys and Nylabones, and her favorite treat is chicken. Lupita is so loving with her people, she loves to trot around the house after her foster mom, and can usually be found snuggled up with someone. She’s incredibly affectionate, and politely asks for pets often. Lupita will make the most loving and loyal companion dog. Adorable, affectionate and so polite, Lupita is the full package. If you have any specific questions about Lupita, please be in touch! We are willing to test Lupita with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Landy, the 7-year-old chihuahua with a heart as spicy as his personality! Landy may be petite, but he’s big on cuddles and snuggles. This little guy thrives on cozying up with you under the covers—he’s an expert at turning your bed into his personal haven. While Landy’s energy level is more ‘homebody chic’ than ‘marathon runner,’ he’s always up for a good cuddle session or a lazy afternoon nap. Though he’s perfectly happy with a solo spotlight, he’s fine with sharing his space with other dogs, as long as they understand he’s the top dog when it comes to snuggling. Landy’s ideal family is one that appreciates his independence and respects his boundaries. He’s comfortable around teenagers who can give him space and understand that he has strong opinions about being picked up—if it’s not on his terms, it’s best to let him be. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate companion who will warm your heart and your bed, Landy is your guy. Come meet him and see how this little chihuahua can bring a world of love into your home! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation.
