Introducing Mr. Rodgers, an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix who carries the wisdom of his years with a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. At a cozy 15 lbs, he hails from a bustling household but has gracefully adapted to his current foster home after being surrendered with several of his pup companions.
Mr. Rodgers may be in his golden years, but his passion for life is as youthful as ever. He delights in leisurely walks and the simple joys of a backyard adventure. While honing his leash-walking skills, he has shown considerable improvement and is enthusiastic about outdoor escapades. He's fond of dashing around, exploring, and laying in the grass, always wrapping up with a nap in the sun.
A friendly fellow, Mr. Rodgers gets along famously with the two small dogs in his foster home, enjoying playful romps and the occasional toy heist. However, he's just as happy to settle for a cuddle session with his furry friends. He's got his house manners down to fine art, has swiftly mastered the doggie door, and feels quite at home in his kennel during the day and at night.
Mr. Rodgers's enthusiasm shines at meal times. He's exuberant, eagerly scampering to his kennel and dancing a little jig as he awaits his food.
New acquaintances might initially find Mr. Rodgers a touch reserved, but once he's sure of his new friends, his affectionate nature quickly surfaces. He prefers the security of his carrier when traveling by car, displaying a bit of nervousness if he's not in his snug spot.

Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $775 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
