Story
Lulu was my mom's dog, but she passed away recently. I tried taking in Lulu for as long as I could, but my current living conditions will not allow for it. I call Lulu a princess. She is very loving and sweet. If she could live in your skin, she would. She is quite the scrounge. When I was younger, we once tried to see how much she would eat. My brother and I fed her 6 hot dogs before realizing she might eat herself into eternal peaceful slumber. The only real negative of Lulu is that she is hard to leave alone. She get's very anxious and paces back and forth by the front door barking the entire time you are gone. She is 15, so you have to let her outside fairly often. Other than that she is a very easy dog, and is still very active. Not even 6 months ago I took her to goblin valley and she hiked with me the whole time. She really has been quite the joy for me, and I hate to see her go. I really just wanted to make sure she ends up in a loving house.

Story
Hello! My name is Bonnie (aka mama, aka Bon Bon) and I’m the other half of Bonnie and Clyde. We’ve been together for a long time now so it would be great if we could stay together but we are willing to go out on our own in the right situation. I’m a sweet but cautious girl until I feel safe and comfortable but then I will lather you with love and kisses. I can be a bit timid and unsure but once I settle in, I am full of personality and love to be loved. I need a proper introduction and patience but I can usually warm up to other dogs. I am learning to play and have fun but I also tend to like to relax and love to be on someone’s warm lap in the eves. I struggle with the wet and cold weather since I came from a hot climate so it’s taking me some time to figure out the potty training but with kindness and patience, I’m sure it will get easier, and I will get better and better.

Story
Hello! My name is Clyde and I’m a handsome hunky Chihuahua. I was rescued off the streets of New Mexico making my way here by transit. My foster mom says I’m a good boy, a bit shy and nervous at mes, but a true lover. I came in with my other half Bonnie (we made cute babies together but are fixed now) I would love to have her come with me to connue to be my girl in my forever home, but we are willing to go out on our own in the right situaon. Somemes it takes me a minute but with a proper introducon and some paence I can usually warm up and feel comfortable with most people and dogs. Although I haven’t been living with a cat, I have one that visits me at the window so I may be ok withthat. I don’t think I will be very happy with small kids, sudden moves, or too much acon. I tend to like to relax and like things a litle more chill. I am not a fan of wet or cold weather and am not 100% poty trained so I will need someone kind and with paence to help me, but my foster mom says I’ve made huge strides and I’m doing much beter! My foster mom says that my girl Bonnie and I are a true catch,so we hope you feel that way too! Come say hi!

Story
Chiquita means ''little gift'' and this little girl is just that. At 9 years old and 5.9 lbs-she is the easiest dog you'll ever own. She's tiny, timid, sweet, potty trained, quiet (unless you leave her, then she cries-I've watched her on my ring camera). She is from New Mexico and was surrendered when her mom got put in a nursing home and the family didn't want to take care of her. She loves all people, but is scared of big dogs. She does not like to be held. She just wants a warm place to curl up and snuggle. She loves belly and head scratches. Walks are okay, but because of her age and size, not necessary. She does good on a leash. She gives the softest little kisses and after a recent dental also now has good breath to go along with those kisses. No shared walls since she cries when left. Older, dog savvy kids because she is so small. Can you give this sweet girl a nice, loving home to live out her senior years? If you would like to meet Chiquita, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Teenie Weenie Beanie is a tiny 4 lb male Chihuahua, who is only 1.5 years old. He is so TINY! He is gorgeous! He is the ULTIMATE VELCRO DOG and purse dog. He truly yearns to be with you at all times. His favorite thing is being held and staring in your eyes. He is looking for his ride-or-die soul mate. He looks like a show dog, perfectly proportioned, short torso, and gorgeous coat. He is extremely loyal to his person but, sadly, does not seem to like males, not even male children, he only likes females. His ideal adopter would be a female who wants a 24/7 companion in life, who can take him with her wherever she goes, or who works from home. He likes to play with other small dogs in his foster home and loves having a doggie pack as long as he gets most of the attention from his mom, and lots of quality one on one time. He is a character! He would like to have a tiny doggie friend at his new home. He has big emotions. He will squeak, cry, and wail for you if you leave him or are near him and dont pick him up. He loves hard and he will stick with his person in good times and bad, till death do you part. He is a Romeo looking for his Juliet. Are you Teenie Weenie Beanie's soulmate? Tiny Chihuahuas often live to be 16 years old, so we estimate he has another 14+ years left in him. So, he is looking for someone to be his best friend for a long, long time. He is potty trained, but is working on not marking. He has a habit of marking a couple of spots in the kitchen and hasn't broken this habit yet. He is fully vetted and likes to go on walks with his comfort harness. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
