What we know: Puppy came from a hoarding case involving 14 dogs through Littlefield Pet Haven in Texas. Puppy was originally scheduled for transport with the other dogs but was held back after a possible bite wound was noticed on the day of transport. Puppy remained in Texas for an additional two weeks for monitoring before being cleared and transported to CPR.
From the foster: Okay, hi! First off, Quinn? Do I look like a Quinney? Because that's what you'll call me when I'm being cute, which is all the time. My foster mom is trying a few names out; one is Duck, because I look like a small mirror image of my foster uncle Goose. The other is the one I like: Boss. It suits me to a tee. I may be short, but I'm in charge. Anyway, I finally made it to Colorado, and my siblings and cousins are all adopted. What? Wait, did you not know I was coming? They always say the best is yet to come. I'm doing great on my training—potty, sits, and downs. I have until Saturday when you come to get me; I'll be much better by then. Now, crates... I'm starting to understand that sometimes, for safety, I'll need to go in one. However, I do not enjoy it one bit. But we don't really need to worry about that because I'm the boss... I mean, wouldn't that be a cute name for me? Hehe. I love children; they are so much fun to play with. I could run around all day making them laugh and just having fun. I was told I had to address the cat situation. The first time the foster cat and I were in the same room, I didn't even notice it and walked right past it. The second time, I growled at it and told it to leave. Mind you, that cat is twice my size. Did I mention I'm what some people call short? I like to say that I'm vertically challenged. You might think bull terrier and corgi when you look at me. Honestly, I have no idea; there were so many of us where I was born. We all look similar, but not quite the same. Okay, but none of that is really the point. So, Saturday, I'm coming up for what they call adoption. Really? What that means is you are going to finally get to meet me and take me home. We're going to spend the rest of my life together. Now, this is where the name Boss fits. I promise I'm going to be the best boy; I will take care of you and love you and be there for you forever. We're already best friends; you just didn't know it. Saturday morning, mark your calendar. We have a date. I can't wait to finally see you.❤️ Duck. The Boss.
