Story
Blue is the all-around sweetest, most awesome dog ever with the most stunning eyes! He was found as a stray in Wortham, a tiny rural town Southeast of Waco, Texas. He is wonderful with cats, other dogs and kids and is so ready to find his furever home! Blue loves car rides, snacks and playtime! Unfortunately Blue, and all the animals at the Wortham shelter, have little prospects as the shelter does little to no adoptions. There is a small group of individuals in Wortham that work tirelessly to network (and vet, on a very limited budget) these animals to foster-based rescues in and out of Texas that are willing to consider them. Red Fern was contacted by one of these volunteers who, together with her high school daughter, go to the holding facility every day to walk the dogs, socialize them, take them to the vet, and just spend quality time with them. Blue is still at the shelter in the small, rural town of Wortham in South Texas. He's waiting for an adopter, or committed foster, to welcome him into their Colorado home! There is a transport arriving Friday 1/16 that he can hop on so submit your application quickly! Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2631532##

Story
Meet Macks, a 5-year-old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix with a heart full of potential and a loving spirit. Macks was surrendered to a high-kill shelter after her previous owner passed away, and she’s now looking for a new family to give her the love and stability she deserves. Initially anxious and a bit flighty, Macks requires some time to build trust. However, once she feels secure, she becomes an incredibly affectionate and well-behaved companion. Macks is not fond of other dogs or cats, so she would do best in a home where she can be the only pet. She will thrive in a household with middle school-aged children or older, or with adults who can provide her with the patience and care she needs to feel at ease. If you're looking for a loyal and loving dog who will become deeply attached to her new family, Macks is ready to bring her devotion and warmth into your home.

Story
K-Pop wants one thing from life: for his person to never stop loving him. He is deaf, so he relies on visual cues on how to respond to people and other dogs and adores being petted and close to someone who is giving him attention. Kevin is a "perfectly sized" small-medium young adult dog, about three years old and fully grown at 39 pounds, neutered, housetrained, and crate trained. Currently this fluffernutter sweetheart is in foster in the Durango, Colorado, area, and living with other adult dogs of various sizes. Kevin is accurately described as a "velcro dog" who often wants to accompany his people throughout the house, to make sure he's not missing out on any head pets or loving looks into his face, but he also naps long and hard... sometimes he chooses to seclude himself in a comfy crate. Kevin has the softest white fur with some spots mixed in for good measure (especially on his floppy ears), hazel colored eyes, and an adorable stumpy tail that he wags furiously to let you know how happy he is to be with you. He loves his daily walks with his foster family and gets cases of the playful zoomies sometimes (especially after he wades in a stream or even gets his feet wet) but overall Kevin is a low-key "chill" dog who is 100% good with being a couch potato. He walks well on a leash / martingale collar and certainly enjoys getting his sniff on to get a daily update on the world through his dark pink shnoze. He is currently accustomed to a 40-minute walk each morning and then the rest of his daily schedule is booked out with doing nothing. Note: if you're not crazy about his name, no worries, you can call him whatever you want to... he won't know the difference. He just knows to recognize love and attention from his people, and to return it to them with all his huge doggie heart. If you'd like to come meet a very unique boy currently called "K-pop" in Durango, Colorado area to see if he's the furever family member for you, please submit an adoption application to RezDawg Rescue today! ##2483358##
