Story
Peabody was found as a stray and after his 5 days in doggie jail he was brought to the rescue to find him a loving family.  He is neutered, microchipped and current on shots.  He is a good boy that would love an active family to give him a job and play with him.  He is house and crate trained.   He has not been tested with cats and has not spent much with other dogs.  He does fence fight with the other dogs in his area.  He has been at the resuce since October of 2022. ##1563395##

Story
Dog’s name: Topher Breed: mixed collie, 45 pounds Owner: Hope Bonem, hbonem@gmail.com, 832-474-1743 Topher is a sweet, silly 4-year-old guy with some aggressive-reactive behaviors. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. He loves walks and peanut butter and playing fetch. He loves to greet me at the door with lots of kisses and even when he doesn’t want to be touched, wants to be nearby. He is house-trained and has a crate but whines if put in it. He does great with free roam of the house (unless there’s food, which I can’t blame him for :) Topher was presumably abused by his first owner which left him wary of other dogs and strange men (he warms up to men really well, it just takes some time). With his second owner, he had a seizure and his behavior worsened. He has done OK with me, but continues to be reactive and requires additional training that I do not have the time or resources for at this time.  Topher really is so sweet and his reactions are always out of fear, but he does react by nipping/biting when he feels unsafe. He can be touch-sensitive and only wants to be touched on his own terms. He is currently on anxiety medications, which may need to be reevaluated.  Topher’s next home should not have other dogs or younger children (who won’t understand his sensitivities). Ideally, the home would have a backyard and an owner who will be patient with him and who can dedicate time to his training and reevaluating his medications. I really do believe Topher could be such a wonderful companion with proper training and it breaks my heart that I can’t give that to him at this time. He is truly so sweet at home, following me around, and anytime I’ve cried in front of him, he tries to lick the tears away. I think if these issues could be addressed he could be the perfect/most loving companion. I love him so much and unfortunately think there’s a better home out there for him.    This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: This boy we like to call Lucky is so sweet. He is quite shy at first and a little skittish, so someone with patience to let him come around would work best. It took him a couple hours to warm up but he took right to our 2 year old like he had known him since he was a tiny puppy. He loves giving kisses and playing with his toys. He slept in his crate all night without a peep. I also believe he might be potty trained he has only peed in the house when he gets nervous, other than that he has went outside with no problems. He will make a great family dog for anyone especially people with kiddos to keep him busy. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Cloud Princess is a beautiful medium-sized Collie/Lab mix (best guess).  This sweet girl has made a lot of progress since she arrived in her foster home.  Initially very shy with new people, CP would love a home with another playful companion dog to show her the ropes.  A securely fenced in yard is a must for this crate-trained 9 months-old, who is slowly becoming comfortable with the leash, and has picked up house training quite well. No accidents in her foster home in a while! Cloud Princess loves being near her foster mom and seeks out pets from the young teenager in the household, but steers clear of the younger, more noisy children in her foster home--although she has no problem accepting treats from them.  This beautiful girl has so much potential and love to give.  She will thrive in a loving, patient home willing to teach her trust and confidence.September 25, 2023, 7:23 pm
