Story
Bruce is a 10-month-old puppy who’s funny, silly, and full of energy. He’s a little wild in a puppy way and absolutely loves being outside—running, exploring, and burning off energy. He would do best with someone who has a backyard and enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle like hiking or long walks. This isn’t a rushed rehoming. I care deeply about Bruce and am looking for the right fit, not just any home. He deserves someone who can give him space, time, and a lot of love.

Story
Meet Speckles — Your New Best Friend  If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly companion to share your adventures, look no further than Speckles! This handsome retriever/collie mix (approximately 4 years old per EAPL vet review) is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Speckles is the whole package — he walks beautifully on leash, knows how to "sit pretty," and won't drive your neighbors crazy with barking. He's a true people-lover who lights up around humans and gets along great with other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for multi-pet households. When it comes to fun, this boy means business. Toss him a ball or a Kong and watch his eyes light up — then take him for a walk and you'll have a happy, tired pup by evening. Speckles thrives with activity and would absolutely flourish in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and explore. Speckles is clearly a smart cookie who is eager to please — with a little consistent training on basic commands, he's going to be an absolute star. If you're an active family or individual ready to invest a little time and a lot of love, Speckles will pay you back tenfold. Apply to adopt this  handsome  guy at EAPL.com— we have a feeling it'll be love at first sight.    Put in an application at eapl.com. His adoption fee is $375 March 7, 2026, 2:40 pm

Story
Chelsea is 2.5yo powerhouse of energy and affection. She’s crate trained and settles well but she would love a lifestyle of activity and exercise. She’d probably be happiest with 2, 20-30 min walks or just an hour of fetch. She gets so excited for walks she tends to pull and we’re still working on our off leash, recall! She knows “sit, stay, leave it, excuse me, back up, down, up, let’s walk” and “turn around.” She’s looking for an owner that will keep her active and let her snuggle up on the bed. She loves kids and I think she’d do great with a family. **She also has a year package at zoom room in Littleton which includes 50 classes, multiple private lessons and open play sessions**

Story
If your idea of a perfect day involves a trail, a pack, and a dog who's just as happy splashing through a stream as she is quietly soaking in the view — meet Lily. There's a spot in the backyard where Lily likes to sit. She'll settle in quietly, ears perked, eyes locked on the tree line — waiting. The squirrels don't know it yet, but they have a very dedicated, very patient observer. This is Lily in her element: still, focused, and completely content. A Little About Lily Lily is a calm, intelligent one-year-old with a beautiful black and white coat and the kind of deep, thoughtful eyes that make you feel like she really gets you. She carries the focused, purposeful nature of her shepherd heritage — she notices everything, misses nothing, and approaches the world with quiet confidence. She's affectionate in the best possible way: no bowling you over, no frantic jumping — just a perpetually wagging tail (we're talking vigorous) and sweet kisses. Lily's Highlights Crate trained — settles in easily and feels secure in her space, sleeps through the night Fully potty trained — no accidents, no fuss Good with other dogs — peaceful and easygoing around other canines; she's more of a "live and let live" neighbor than a rough-and-tumble playmate.  She was very patient around plenty of puppies at an adoption brewery event and might have been a mom herself Walks beautifully on leash — no pulling, no lunging, no reactivity, just a pleasant stroll Loves to be outside — Lily truly comes alive outdoors. She recently joined a Hiking for Hounds meet-up and crushed a 5-mile hike like a seasoned pro — charming every dog and human she met along the way. She stayed calm amid kids, runners, cyclists, and fellow hikers, taking it all in stride. And if there's a stream or pond along the route? She's already in it. Quiet — she is not a barker; your neighbors will adore her Trustworthy in the home — calm and non-destructive, she can be left to roam the house freely without a worry  The Squirrel Situation Lily's greatest joy — truly, her passion — is sitting in a yard and watching squirrels. Not chasing them. Not barking at them. Just... watching. With the laser focus of a seasoned wildlife photographer. It's meditative, really. If you have a fenced yard or a sunny window and a resident squirrel population, Lily will consider herself the luckiest dog alive. Her Perfect Home Lily would do best with: An adopter who loves the outdoors - while Lily isn't super energetic, she'd enjoy hiking or just hanging out fishing or camping A home with a fenced yard or a sunny window (squirrels optional but strongly preferred) If it's a home with other dogs, dogs aren't expecting a high-energy playmate Lily is exactly who she appears to be: gentle, highly intelligent, focused, and deeply loving. She's ready to spend the rest of her life right by your side — tail going a mile a minute, watching over the yard like the quiet, wonderful soul she is. ##2682586##

Story
Meet Ronda!Ronda is a sweet, playful gal who may be a little shy at first—but give her a few days, and she’ll blossom into your new best friend. She’s an active pup who loves to run around and is learning to play fetch (though sometimes she gets so excited she forgets to bring the toy back!). Ronda is adjusting wonderfully to life outside the shelter. She’s mostly potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out, but if she can’t hold it, she’ll use potty pads. She gets so excited to play outside that she sometimes needs a gentle reminder that it’s also potty time. Walks are still a little intimidating for her, but with patience and encouragement, she’s learning that they can be fun. Ronda is a Kelpie mix, though on the smaller side—she may even have some Chihuahua in her. No matter her mix, she’s a lovable, playful companion who is eager to bond with her forever family. She would do best in a home without young children. Slow introductions to other dogs are best, and while she’s still figuring out cats, she knows to leave them alone when told. Ronda can’t wait to meet her perfect match. Come see her at an adoption event—she just might steal your heart! ##2461439##

Story
Landon is a boisterous boy who loves to play with toys and likes to wrestle with his sister but he also loves to snuggle/cuddle, whether it's with his sister or me. His desire to cuddle and be around people a lot has led to him whining when left alone at bedtime but I'm working with him on that. He is very curious and has managed to get out of the exercise pen once. He immediately got out of the crate when we first got home and I opened the crate.Landon is very food-motivated, almost to the point where he won't let me pick up the food bowl if there's still some in it so that's why I marked him as ok with food removal. Landon is very smart, just like his sister, and I am working on teaching him his name and the "sit" command. ##2672429##
