I am EXCELLENT on walks, I have mastered "heel" and will walk beside my human the entire walk! My foster mom said that I put her dogs to shame with how well I do on my leash. I LOVE little dogs, I love playing tag with my foster dog brother (peekapoo) and sister (havanese). When I have encountered big dogs, I get scared and make my biggest bark possible. I don't trust big dogs yet, but hopefully I will find a friendly one that I can learn to trust. I am fully crate trained, I don't even cry when I go to bed, but I do struggle when asked to go to my crate (I need a little help with that). I am fully potty trained, and will let you know that I need to go out with a little squeak or bark. I love pedicures, my foster mom was shocked when she went to cut my nails and I just rolled over and relaxed while she did it. I am a total lover, physical touch is my love language, I will crawl onto your lap if you let me and love sitting beside my human watching the world go by. I absolutely love my walks, and my foster mom started running with me, I did 2 miles no problem yesterday on my leash! My foster mom said I would be an IDEAL running pup for someone. I am very smart and am eager to learn, I always listen and I thrive on positive reinforcement. I want to make my future parents very proud! I am very gentle with children, so far I have met and played with 3 year olds through 14 year olds. I am not skiddish, loud noises like the lawn mover, thunder and construction doesn't bother me. When I'm in the car, in my crate or home alone I calm right down if you play Calming Puppy Music on Spotify. ##2841946##

Wanda is the perfect combo - the legs of a giraffe, ears of a fox, and fur highlights any hairdresser would be proud of. She is a sweet, sweet soul who is still learning to trust and settle in. She is a little uncertain on walks but is already starting to be more curious and comfortable - we mostly Wanda around. We move slowly and give her time, and she has been braver each day. Patience and love are all she needs to let her relax into being a puppy again. She has made large strides each and every day. She could spend all day outside, watching the squirrels and birds, sniffing flowers and rolling in the grass. Potty training is a work in progress but we have already seen improvements. This is Odin! He is a 9 year old Border Collie. Once he gets used to someone, he loves to be around them. Complete transparency, He is a reactive dog and will not get along with strangers. He has the following neurotic tendencies: Compulsive habits: Licking the floor or legs when stressed or feels he needs a "job", biting the closest thing to him (Furniture item, NOT people) Restlessness: consistent jumping at things in the air trying to "catch" them, and an inability to settle down and rest even after playing. Fixations: Staring intensely at walls or lights that are casted on walls/ items. Destruction: When stressed or in a "trace" he tends to bite or tear up furniture. He does not destroy any other items when not in this state. Vocalizing: Barking when scared or hears a delivery driver. He is such a handsome and sweet boy, he just needs someone that can give him more time and energy. He loves catching frisbees and cuddling close and he has the best "smile".

Some of my interests are going for walks, playing with other dogs, self entertaining with toys and learning new things. I’m not reactive on walks and am starting to walk well on a loose leash. Currently weighing in at a perfect sized 30 lbs, Logan is 8 months old and adores all dogs, older kids, and even cats. He also loves his toys, especially his pet Giraffe, Mikey, that he brings to bed and cuddles all night long with. To be fair, he loves all his toys and is very careful not to rip any. In fact, he likes to put them in a pile together before he goes out on walks discovering Denver. His foster thinks since he grew up without his siblings, sweet Logan likes to make his own pack and keeps his soft toys together so they are never lonely. Logan is not destructive in his foster home, and picked up living in a house right away, enjoying tons of cuddles and lots of delicious training treats. Huey is a 4 year old pit/border collie mix (we think?). He is a great dog, but he does not get along with our 2 year old son and has shown anxiety around him. Yesterday he nipped and made contact with our son. We cannot ethically keep him in our home. He is a bit anxious but is such a lovable guy. He is an active boy, loves to run and play as much as possible. He is also a snuggle bug. Loves rubs and attention and will follow you anywhere. He is kennel and house trained and up to date with vaccines. He would do well in a home without young children or cats as he tried to herd our cats and needed to be kept separate. Older kids and teens are fine.

Lois is a sweet and curious little girl. She wants to be involved in everything you’re doing and does not like to be left out. She will cry in her crate and create her own howly song (just imagine it’s Ariel singing “I want to be where my people are!!”) Her foster mom is working on it and honestly the song has gotten shorter (but not quieter yet). She walks circles around you on a walk (literal circles) so she will need a little practice learning to just walk by your side. She’s a small girl and doesn’t pull though, except when she doesn’t like the direction you’re going and will tug, leash in her mouth, to switch it up. Or she’ll stop right in front of you and demand upies (she has little legs okay?!). Potty training is a work in progress, but at time of profile submission it’s not super great. She is taken outside frequently but she gets so distracted outside (she’s curious about everything remember) that as soon as we go inside is when she will go. She LOVES food. She acts like she has never been fed before and never will be again so she is in a big rush for you to just put the bowl down already. We’re working on some manners and her love of food definitely helps keep her motivated. She’s gotten ‘sit’ and her fosters are continuing to build from there. Training and walks are a great way for her to burn some of her puppy energy. She gets along great with resident dogs but they are pretty big and intimidating. She wants so badly to play with them though! Does well with kids, though as she gets more comfortable and outgoing her Aussie may come out more. When she’s ready for a nap she will curl up right next to you and snuggle in. She would do well with an active family with patience and love to give! Potty training is a work in progress, but at time of profile submission it’s not super great. Chelsea is a resilient girl who is soaking up everything the "good life" has to offer. I am the definition of a "work in progress" in the best way possible! I’ve already mastered "sit" and am currently working hard on "down" and "come." While everything in the neighborhood is still a bit new and sparkly to me, I am becoming braver every day. I’m learning fast! I just had my first zero-accident day, and I’m very proud of myself. I prefer to be near my people. If my crate is in the bedroom, I settle in beautifully for a full 8 hours of sleep. I might give a tiny whimper for a minute at bedtime, but once I have my "night-night treat," I’m a mellow girl until my 6:00 AM potty break. I am VERY treat-motivated. I’m currently (still) learning that kitchen counters aren't for me and that I don’t need to eat my dinner in record time. On walks, I’m a "stop and smell the roses" kind of girl. I can be a little timid when I see other dogs or loud bikes, but my foster mom says I’m very brave—if you show me a treat, I can politely sit and watch them pass by or walk right on through. I haven't met cats or young children yet, but I absolutely adore the young adults in my foster home. My perfect family would be: Patient & Loving: Someone ready to continue my leash and potty training. Active: I have good energy and love several long walks a day followed by a deep snuggle. A "People" Person: I love being with my humans. While I’m working on my independence, I’d love a home where I’m not alone for long stretches right away. Ginger is the sweetest boy ever. He is very eager to please. He’s a complete love bug and always wants belly rubs and hugs. He’s got a cute little smile once you start petting him. We are working on his confidence right now as he was very nervous coming out of the shelter. We’re still working on getting him comfortable with other dogs, he will set his boundaries and can be reactive when another dog is in his space. He would work best alone without any other dogs in the home. He is also quite nervous around men and young boys, probably from previous experiences. He is a complete velcro dog once he’s used to you, and follows me literally everywhere. His recall is very good because of this, and we are working on it everyday!
