Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi! I'm Amren! Foster mama says I am the sweeetest and friendliest little girly in my litter. I am not up for my siblings crazy antics and would prefer to cuddle on the couch with my humans.   am learning all about living in a house and going potty on pads and outside. I am still a work in progress with potty training but I am super smart so I am sure I will get it in no time. I will need continued help with leash training and crate training in my forever home. I will be ready to go home to my forever family 3/5/24. I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. I'm Tamlin and I am so handsome (foster mom tells me so everyday!). I am a typical puppy and love to run and play with my siblings but I also adore my humans. I am one of the few in my litter who will wait at the gate for my foster family to come back into the room and play. I am not wild like my brothers but I do enjoy a good race around the living room. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi! I'm Azriel and I am just as handsome as my brother Cassian (where my book friends at?). I am a happy, playful and snuggly guy. I love to play with each and every one of my slibings as well as the humans in my home. My foster mom says I am "beautiful" I don't know what that means but I think its good.   am learning all about living in a house and going potty on pads and outside. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Bannon.  I was born somewhere around Christmas in 2020, am a Collie/Shepherd mix, and weigh about 55lbs. Another interesting fact about me is I weaned 11 puppies!   I am working on walking on a leash, but my preference is a large fenced back yard. I need exercise, so please plan to take me on long walks/runs or a good playtime in the backyard a couple times a day.     I have a few things that I am working on. One is I'm mouthy with people. I'm not trying to bite you, but my excitement overtakes me sometimes. My foster family is working on me getting a stuffie when I start to go over threshold. So, having a lot of toys around for me is important to keep on this training. I also am jumpy. So, probably no small kiddos for me. Both behaviors are common in younger dogs and tend to subside with constant training .   I am crate trained when my people are home so if I truly need a break, that is a safe place for me to rest. When you are away, I am not a huge fan of the crate but have not ever broken out of it. I do bark a little in the crate, especially when I know you are home.     The biggest consideration a potential adopter for me should have is my boundless energy. Being a running partner would be a dream come true for me. Otherwise, a fenced in yard where I can endlessly play fetch would be wonderful. I'm also very smart, so if you're looking for a dog to impressively train or teach a job to, I'm your gal!   One other thing to note is that I'm selective with my dog friends. It is probably best that I am an only dog in the home due to this. I also have a bit of a prey drive so no cats or small critters in my house as well. Do you have a home that can give me all the attention I need!? If so, please apply! NOTE: Bannon tested positive for Lymes Disease. This is a tick borne illness that is relatively common in dogs who live in states where ticks are more prevalent. Most dogs live their whole lives with no issues or flare ups caused by these diseases. It is important that Bannon's adopters know what symptoms to watch for when a flare-up occurs so she can be put on meds to keep it at bay. The treatment for this is a 30 day course of Doxycycline, a relatively inexpensive antibiotic. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Location: Sauk Rapids, MN Cristina came into rescue with her siblings and mom when they were a few weeks old. They were found underneath a car on a reservation. Mama Meredith is a Husky/Anatolian shepherd mix at about 60 pounds. We are unsure of who dad is as they are all a little different :) They are fostered with kids and other dogs and have been well socialized. They are typical puppies that require patience and training to be successful. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Adoption Fee: $650, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Freckles is an adorably wickedly smart puppy at a young 4 months-old. She is already potty trained at such a young age to put it into perspective. As long as you keep on eye on her for when she communicates she has to go outside (I.e she goes to our back door and sits and/or looks at us). She tries her hardest to keep her crate clean, but her bladder is so small that she can't hold it much longer than 5 hours. She only wakes up once a night to go outside. Otherwise she sleeps peacefully and quietly in a crate with a blanket covering it. But seriously, do you see those freckles!! So darn cute! It's a guess on her mixed breed, could be golden retriever mix, or lab mix, or Australian shepherd mix. We are guessing she may be a golden retriever mix based on her physical appearances, mannerisms, and intelligence. She is super snuggly, adorably pounces and plays with superior manners. Freckles gets along with dogs, cats, and loves kids! She is confident in herself and appropriately communicates to dogs when they're overwhelming her. Out of all of my foster puppies throughout the years she is the easiest and smartest by far! She will fit in great with any family! Freckles has been spayed, brought up to date on her puppy vaccinations, and has a microchip. If the adorable little freckles are calling out to you, please fill out an application to meet Freckles today! She could be the perfect fit for your family.

Story
Adoption Fees: $650, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Gumbo is an adorable and sweet little guy. He is a very smart cookie! He knows that when it's time to eat he goes in his crate. In his foster home Gumbo is fed in his kennel so that he is not afraid to "Kennel UP"" when needed and the Kennel is not seem as a bad place. He does great with the cats in the foster home and loves all of them, especially the teenager cat, they have become the best of friends. They are funny and follow each other everywhere. Gumbo plays hard and sleeps hard. He sleeps through the night and he's working on his potty training. The best thing to know is that as soon as he wakes up from a nap or the night - he needs to go out right away. If you learn his clues, he will sit in front of you, bark at you, or as soon as he starts smelling around that means he's ready to go outside. At 4 months old, Gumbo is ready to start his forever with his adoptive family. He has been neutered, brought up to date on his vaccinations, and has a microchip. If you think your home is the one for Gumbo, please complete an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hello, my name is Turnip. Full disclosure, I don’t really know what makes up my DNA, but I am guessing 25% ears and a mix of cattle dog and something else. But, let's bring up my oversized ears again … have you seen my photos? SUPER CUTE! Regardless, as far as I’m concerned, I’m just ME…a beautiful and very happy female puppy who simply loves life! My favorite activities include gnawing on big dog bones, playing with any toy that happens to be nearby, and snuggling with my people…especially when I get to bury my long, little body under some cozy blankets! I haven’t met any kids or cats, but I am good with other dogs. I do well on the leash and I’m potty trained, but I do not like that prison cell you humans call a kennel/crate. In fact, I will holler if I’m put in there so let me just say you have been warned! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I’m not much for words…I’d rather cuddle so all I need now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on me. Believe me when I tell you that I am a total sweetheart and if you’ll just welcome me into your world, we will make the most amazing memories together…I promise! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 10/08/2016 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Weight: 32 lbs Requires a fenced yard: No, but needs daily exercise Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, I’m Barbie, a stunning, friendly, and VERY fun adult female Cattle Dog who has not met any cats but I’m good with kids and other dogs. I have a LOT of energy and am always on-the-go, go, go! My favorite activity is fetching…in fact, ball is my life (hee, hee) so foster mom bought me an automatic ball thrower which is AWESOME…I’m gonna have that thing mastered in no time!! Anyway, I also enjoy chewing on bones & bully sticks, playing with my squeaky toys, shadowing my people, and going on leashed walks/runs/hikes around the neighborhood so I can say “Hello” to all my new two- and four-legged friends. What don’t I like you ask?? Well, I’m not crazy about the kennel/crate and will bark for a bit when I’m in there but above all else, I do NOT like car rides! If it were up to me, I’d avoid the car completely but foster mom…the wonderful lady that she is…is trying to help me overcome my aversion by taking me in the car more. How do I feel about that you ask…let me just say that when we’re in that death trap (LOL) I constantly bark to let her know in no uncertain terms that I am NOT thrilled or amused by her sneaky tactics! Hee, hee!! Oh well, I’m a smart girl who knows what “sit” means and I’ve almost conquered potty training, so I suppose it’s possible for me conquer the car too…we’ll see! In the end, I am the happiest girl in the world with an ever-present smile on my beautiful face…all I need now is YOU! I’m looking for a patient, unconditionally loving, and very active family that will NEVER give up on me. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 02/01/2015 Requires another dog in home: No if home a lot Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Weight: 46 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Fanny. I am a very beautiful, smart, funny, and all-around loving adult female Cattle Dog who loves to be with my people! My favorite activities include chewing on bones or treats, snoozing, going on leashed walks, exploring my surroundings, rolling around, going on car rides, and snuggling! I do not like loud noises, and I have not met any cats, but I am good with kids and other dogs. In fact, I get super excited when I see other dogs and would enjoy having a companion at my new home along with a fenced yard where we can safely play! I am working hard at, and with a consistent schedule, will hopefully soon master, potty training, but I already know commands like “come” and “kennel/crate” and will even go into my kennel with no issues. That said, I would, of course, rather be with my family!! Anyway, I really am the sweetest girl ever and I am simply looking for a patient furever family who will not only promise to NEVER give up on me but who will always keep me safe and love me unconditionally. If you are looking for an amazing companion who is truly a constant source of light and smiles, then you have just met your soul mate! I promise I will love you more than you could EVER imagine! Love, Fanny Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.
