Story
Meet Hazel   A Gentle Border Collie Looking for Her Forever Family   Hazel is a sweet, affectionate 2-year-old Border Collie with a calm personality and a heart full of love. She may not have had the easiest start in life, but she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a family to call her own.   Name: Hazel Age: 2 years Breed: Border Collie Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 20 kg (44 lbs) Height: 46 cm (18 in) at the shoulder Color: Black & White   Rescue Story Hazel is Aesop’s mother. She was found at a highway rest stop and brought to a municipal shelter in February, where it was discovered that she was pregnant. She gave birth to Aesop at the shelter, and today her puppy has safely joined her forever family in Vancouver to begin her new life. Now it’s Hazel’s turn to find the loving family she deserves.   Personality   Hazel is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, enjoys being petted, and loves the company of both men and women.   She can easily be picked up by placing an arm under her belly—but instead of being lifted, she’ll often dramatically flop onto her back for belly rubs! Even people she has just met are greeted with a trusting belly-up welcome.   With Other Dogs   Hazel is polite when meeting new dogs and enjoys saying hello, but she doesn’t have much interest in playing with them. She much prefers spending time with people.   If another dog bothers her while she’s relaxing, she’ll let them know she’d rather be left alone by shooing them away. However, she has no aggression and does not start fights. She’s simply an independent, peaceful girl.   Cats   She may curiously watch cats during walks, but she easily follows her handler without reacting. A formal cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Hazel has a low energy level and is happiest lounging nearby and relaxing with her family. She absolutely enjoys going for walks, making her an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm dog who still appreciates daily outdoor adventures.   Walking   Hazel has a mild leash pull but is easy to handle. Like many dogs, she enjoys stopping to sniff and explore her surroundings.   More About Hazel   No food guarding toward people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a crate Mostly potty trained for outdoor elimination   Hazel is a gentle, easygoing girl who asks for very little—just kindness, love, and a soft place to rest. After raising her puppy, it’s finally her time to be someone’s beloved companion. Could that family be yours? Story
Meet Dalgom – A Sweet & Social 3-Month-Old Puppy!   Name: Dalgom Age: 3 months Sex: Male Neutered: No – too young Breed: Jindo / Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs) Height: 35 cm (13.8 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story Dalgom was found all alone in a cage near a rural reservoir, left outside under the scorching sun. Thankfully, someone spotted him and reached out for help, allowing this little puppy to be rescued and given a chance at a safe and happy life.   ‍‍ Personality & People Dalgom is an incredibly friendly and affectionate puppy who loves people! He happily approaches both familiar faces and complete strangers, rubbing against them for attention and allowing himself to be petted right away.   He is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be picked up and held. He’s so trusting that he’ll even show his belly to someone he has just met.   With Other Dogs Dalgom is just as social with dogs as he is with people. He readily approaches unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play, and he gets along well with dogs both bigger and smaller than himself.   He enjoys playing with energetic dogs and generally avoids conflict if another dog tries to provoke him. He’s a happy, playful little guy who loves having canine friends.   With Cats Dalgom has not yet been observed around cats, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level Dalgom has a moderate puppy energy level. He enjoys being active and playing, but once he’s had his fun, he settles down nicely and rests. Like most puppies his age, he also sleeps quite a bit.   Walks Dalgom has not started regular walks yet, as he is still completing his puppy vaccinations and has currently received his second round.   Food & Other Behaviours Dalgom does not generally guard food from people or other dogs. He can usually eat peacefully around other dogs, although occasional puppy disagreements over food bowls can happen. He does not initiate conflict, but may respond if another dog challenges him.   He currently whines quite a bit when placed in a crate, so he is being introduced to crate training gradually and positively.   House Training Dalgom currently uses indoor pee pads and is also able to eliminate outdoors. As he is only 3 months old, his house-training skills are still developing.   Ideal Home Dalgom is a young puppy with a wonderfully social, affectionate nature and lots of growing and learning ahead of him. He would do best with a family ready to continue his puppy training, socialization, leash training, and crate training with patience and consistency.   If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly little companion who loves both people and dogs, Dalgom may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Kongi – A Quiet Soul with a Gentle Heart    Name: Kongi Age: 4 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 12.5 kg (27.5 lbs) Height: 48 cm (19 in)   Kongi is the loving mother of Haeon and Jaban, who have already found their forever homes in Canada. On February 26, 2025, Kongi was rescued after being found chained up in an industrial area where she had given birth to her puppies. Despite her difficult past, she has grown into a gentle, affectionate dog who is now ready to find a family of her own.    People Kongi can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but she’s easily won over with treats and warms up quickly. She isn’t fearful of strangers—she simply has a calm, independent personality and doesn’t immediately shower everyone with affection. Once she trusts you, however, she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate.   She is currently living with a boy under the age of 13 and the two are best friends. She’s comfortable being gently picked up with an arm under her belly and happily rolls over to show her tummy to the people she loves.    With Other Dogs Kongi is polite and social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting them but rarely chooses to play, preferring to mind her own business. She tends to feel intimidated by dogs much larger than herself but is friendly with dogs of a similar size. Even when another dog acts rudely, Kongi usually chooses to walk away instead of reacting.    With Cats When she sees cats on walks, she’s curious but easily redirects her attention and follows her handler without any issues.    Energy Level Kongi has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once she’s had her exercise, she’s happy to relax quietly at home.    Walking Kongi can pull on the leash at times, but she’s attentive to her handler and is gentle enough to be walked by children. She does have a sensitive side and may freeze or lie down when something scares her. Busy roads with heavy traffic can sometimes make her nervous.    More About Kongi   Fully outdoor potty trained. Very quiet and rarely barks. Calm and well-behaved in a crate. Can jump in and out of the car by herself.   Kongi doesn’t guard food from people, but she may give a warning growl if another dog approaches while she’s eating. She has never shown aggression.   Car rides aren’t her favorite. She may have had a negative experience with vehicles in the past, as she tends to avoid cars in parking lots. She also experiences motion sickness and may drool or vomit during longer rides, so her future family should be prepared to help her feel comfortable while traveling.   Kongi is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—she quietly earns your heart. She’s gentle, loyal, thoughtful, and incredibly rewarding once you’ve earned her trust. After spending her life caring for her puppies, it’s finally Kongi’s turn to be someone’s beloved family member. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

This beautiful girl is full of charm, heart, and classic herding dog intelligence! Maui is super sweet, loyal, playful, and affectionate. She loves being close to her people and will happily sit right at your feet or cuddle up beside you after a day of adventure. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, but her favorite thing is being with her humans and included in daily life. Being an active dog, Maui is looking for a home that will give her both physical exercise and mental enrichment. She would thrive with people who enjoy hiking, running, exploring, and continuing her basic obedience and training. She’s smart, eager to engage, and happiest when she has things to do and people to do them with. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Bosco! He is a ~4 yo, 60lb, Border Collie/Akita mix. (Our best guess to his breeds, but he could have other breeds as well!) Bosco came to us from CA, in search of his forever family. While we are still getting to know Bosco, so far, he has been is a loving and sweet boy. He has been friendly to all people he meets, and enjoys affection! He is smart and loves treats, which makes training fun and engaging. Overall, he is a happy boy that will enjoy a family that is active with him, spoils him with love, and can continue basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be! Bosco is active and loves going for walks and being outdoors, he would make a great adventure companion! We are still getting to know Bosco’s behavior with other dogs. He has done well with some dogs (usually calmer females), but some high energy/dominant males can make him a little nervous. He will do great in a home that can continue to help him decompress, as the kennel environment can greatly affect stress and how dogs interact with other dogs. Bosco can be an escape artist, and should have a secure yard in his forever home, and while getting to know him, should not be left outdoors alone. He just wants to be with his people! Who can blame him? Bosco is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

These pups are in Shoreline, Washington too!

HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and timid. While there, I had kennel mates, and I'm currently in a foster home with other dogs. I may do best with another dog around. I'm still shy, but am quickly relaxing. I follow my foster mom around the house! I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. I weigh only about 40-45 lbs. Please email for an application.
