Story
Brisco is a 30lb, 8 mo old Blue Heeler staying in Kirkland, WA. He's super sweet, social, snuggly, and a quick learner. PNWCDR originally got him and his sister as tiny little things from a hoarding situation, and we thought he'd landed in a permanent place, however due to a change in his adoptive family's situation, he has been returned to us recently. He was originally named Luke as a young pup in case you recognize him. Brisco's ideal home would be one that is experienced with high-drive breeds, and is looking to include him in their activities. He likes whatever you do, as long as he can go. He's great at walking around parks/trails, and is not dog reactive in the situations he's been in with his foster. He's great at riding in the vehicle in a crate. At home, he wants to help you do laundry, trim trees, garden, run errands, or whatever sounds fun! If you have other playful dogs, that only sweetens the deal because he absolutely loves to play with anyone interested, especially if they will chase him. If you're browsing for ACDs, hopefully you know about the breed, and know that they can be very busy, Velcro dogs that are meant to be alongside you, and are waiting for your next instructions. Brisco fits into that category. He's a super cool dog and someone will be lucky to have him. Super smart, sweet, playful, and a totally devoted dog. He really wants to be your everything. Can you be his everything? Brisco is neutered, microchipped and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. He is being fostered in Kirkland WA and the adoption fee is $330. If you're interested in meeting Brisco, please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog’s appearance, mother’s appearance, paperwork, etc. Adoption Process: - Adoption Application - Phone Convo - Meet & Greet - Home Visit - Application Approval - Adoption Fee & Contract Our adoption application is at pnwcdr.org/adopt Curious about fostering? Story
MEET POPPY, a 10-month-old adorable mix of Australian Cattle Dog mix! Poppy is quite the looker! He has a long nose, huge ears, and interesting coloring. Poppy loves to go for walks, jogs, and road trips! He would do best with an active person or people since he will need plenty of exercise. He walks well on a leash, though can get distracted by outdoor critters. He is currently in a foster home and has done well with other dogs in the home, though he can be protective of his home/yard. And like most puppies, he loves to play and wrestle, so pairing him with a like canine pal is important. He crate-trains well and is roughly 60 lbs. Please email for a foster or forever application!

Story
Honey is a silly girl! She is a very friendly, 8-9 mo old puppy that is ready to explore the world! She loves to run the property and play with her foster siblings. She is a little insecure at first when meeting people and other dogs, but with just a few minutes of patience snd encouragement, she opens up to become a dancing, wiggly little puppy. She is a small girl for her age. We don’t expect her to be over 30lbs or so when full grown. Because she is a little insecure, it would be best if she has another playful, well balanced dog in the home to help build her confidence. She’s wonderful with kids, too, so children over 10yrs old would also be great playmates. She doesn’t seem to have strong herding instincts, but she will chase the kitties. It’s best if there are no cats in the home, unless her person is a very experienced handler that can help her learn to live with kitties in harmony. Honey is crate trained and is doing wonderful with her house training. She does still need more leash and manners training, but she is very smart and is learning quickly. She must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard, and because of her young age, she should not be left alone for more than 5-6hr intervals. If you are interested in meeting this wonderful girl please email info@k9rr.org and include your phone number.June 3, 2023, 9:00 pm

Story
Darling little Cassidy is barely over 4mo old, weighs a little over 30lbs and was literally rescued from a high kill shelter euthanasia list with just days to go! She is a wonderful little girl that loves everyone so it’s hard to believe her life was at risk! She is safe and now just needs a loving, forever home of her own. She loves to spend her days running around with other dogs so a medium or large doggie playmate in the home would be ideal. She is an active breed mix so her home must be athletically active. And at the end of a busy day, she would love to have people of her own to cuddle with. She is doing great with her crate and house training so she needs just a little more help. A doggy door would be ideal. Cassidy is a very smart girl so lots of training games are a must. Kids over 10yrs old to play with would be great, too. She must have a 6ft securely fenced yard. Because of her young age, she should not be left alone for more than 4-5 hr intervals. If you are interested in meeting Cassidy please email info@k9rr.org and include your phone number.June 3, 2023, 9:00 pm

Story
Those cattle dog ears! Bambi has had a lot of transitions in her short life. She went to a foster to adopt home and did great, but it turns out one family member wasn't ready to commit to dog ownership. So at no fault of her own, she finds herself needing that forever family. She's an active8 month old girl that gets along well with other dogs and humans of all sizes and ages. She has lots of energy and would love to be your hiking partner! Her siblings have all moved on to foster to adopt homes and Bambi deserves her forever family too. If you would like to meet this beautiful girl, send us an email. And please be patient. We have one adoption coordinator doing his best to coordinate adoptions for many pups. ================================================= WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ADOPT A PET INQUIRIES OR PHONE CALLS, ONLY EMAILS. If you have any additional questions, or would like to adopt Bambi, please send us an email at resilientheartsanimalsanctuary@gmail.com and we will send you an adopter survey. Please note that we are a foster to adopt only rescue. As a foster, you get to "test drive" your chosen dog to make sure it's a good fit prior to adoption. Story
HERDING BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Meet Sundae! She is loyal, happy, has boundless energy, is incredibly smart and is alert and wary of strangers. This girl is a herding breed dog who would love a home outside of the city on acreage where she can have a job to do. She is not for the sedentary dog owner. She loves to walk the perimeter of her property and in typical herding dog fashion will redirect people and alert them once she's familiar with her boundaries. Due to her herding breed, she has an irresistible impulse to herd, anything: cars, dogs, kids, etc. so an adult only home would be best for her. Sundae bonds deeply with her person and can be protective of them. She will need to be in a home where there is strong leadership. She can be reactive or show guarding behavior in stressful situations that she feels are 'threatening' to her person. She can also redirect in these situations or when displaying her herding instincts. She will need a firm hand and strong supervision when there is a lot of stimulation. She has her challenges, but she is incredibly loving and loyal to her people. She is spayed, current on her shots and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

Story
Say hello to Rudy! A playful and bouncy 1-2 year old, 70lb Lab/Cattle dog mix. He is ready to find his forever home. Rudy can be shy at first, but warms up quickly and is super loving and playful. He would make a great companion for a family that is active and loves to play with him in their backyard. Rudy is smart and would benefit from a family that will continue his basic obedience for bond building and confidence. Rudy can be selective/reactive with other dogs. He would do best as the only dog in the home, but with proper introductions could possibly do ok with a laid back female of similar/larger size. No small dogs or cats. He would also do best with a home that has a fenced yard for him to run and play, but could do okay with proper exercise in a townhome/condo. Rudy is UTD on shots, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Foster or forever home needed! Meet Bandit, a 60 lb, 15-month-old, male Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is a very happy, friendly, intelligent boy. He is playful and has lots of energy and LOVES to play with balls. He knows basic commands and he would make a wonderful running partner and loyal companion. Bandit would love a home outside of the city with a fenced yard to run around in. Since he can be jumpy, he will need to be placed in a home with kids over 10 years old. He is not tested with cats. Bandit is on the wait list to be neutered and will be neutered prior to adoption, up-to-date with vaccinations, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $450
